Edit Summaries[edit]

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field – please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. --220 of Borg 10:00, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about Keith Dixon[edit]

Hello, TheShopArt,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Keith Dixon should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Keith Dixon .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks, Barney the barney barney (talk) 14:15, 26 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for taking the time to review my article, the article for Keith Dixon was not written for promotion, there are several creditable sources to support the information given in the article including interview write ups, 3rd parties posting the artist music and edits to the article to remove any suspicion of an article being create strictly for promotion. I hope that the article will be able to remain in the wikipedia database because Keith Dixon has become an important factor in the music business in time to come. Thank you again

Manual of style[edit]

After you created the article Keith Dixon, I read through the text and cleaned up the text the best I could to follow manual of style, mainly the headers (section titles) and the use of first name. Please note that cleanup edits I made that you later reverted in these edits [1], [2] and [3] are not how section titles appear. We don't begin each word with a capital letter, just the first word and any proper nouns. We also don't put the entire header in italics, just titles like books, movies, tv shows, albums etc. Per manual of style, the title of an album should be in italics which is why I left the italics for those titles, but the titles of songs are put in quotation marks not italics. Please see WP:Headings, and WP:MOSTITLE. Cmr08 (talk) 08:18, 27 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Marcus orelias requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. reddogsix (talk) 03:47, 5 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
