Vivian Dsena (born 28 June 1988) is an Indian actor who works in Hindi television. He made his acting debut with Kasamh Se. Dsena is best known for his portrayal of vampire Abhay Raichand in supernatural thriller Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahani, Rishabh Kundra in romantic Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon and Harman Singh in drama Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, winning several accolades including Indian Telly Awards, ITA Awards and Gold Awards.[1] He is currently a contestant of the Indian reality show, Bigg Boss 18.[2] Dsena has also participated in reality shows like Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7 and Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 8.[3]
Early life and family
[edit]Dsena was born on 28 June 1988[4][5] at Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, India.[6] His mother is Hindu, while his father is a Christian of Portuguese descent.[4] In an interview he stated that his mother was an athlete and his father a footballer, leading to his passion for football since the age of 10. He is a fan of the football player Lionel Messi.[7]
Personal life
[edit]In 2013, Dsena married his Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani co-star Vahbiz Dorabjee but the couple filed for divorce in 2016.[8][9][10] The divorce was finalized in 2021.[11] In 2022, Dsena married Nouran Aly, an Egyptian journalist. They have a daughter together. Dsena converted to Islam in 2019 and is a practicing Muslim.[12][13] Before his conversion to Islam, he was a Christian.[14]
