	3rd Annual Wikimedia New England General Meeting
	The New England Wikimedia General Meeting will be a large-scale meetup of all interested Wikimedians from the New England area in order to discuss regional coordination and possible formalization of our community (i.e., a chapter).

Details

The New England Wikimedians user group just received recognition last December, and in that time, we have planned and executed many events. We will discuss current activities already going on in the region, including the regular Boston meetup schedule, the Wikipedia education program, and GLAM collaborations. We will also share ideas about future events and how we can become more organized. This is not an administrative meeting; it will be informal, and primarily chance to socialize in person with others from the area. There will be free food provided for attendees. All ages and wiki experience levels are welcome.

If you haven't attended a meetup in a while (or ever), you are welcome to come visit us!

Background

New England Wikimedians have organized into a user group in the past year and are moving towards becoming a chapter, through outreach events and other activities. We are a welcoming community of Wikimedians, and are accepting of all peoples, including non-Wikimedians and people who are interested in contributing in the future.
