Route 58 is one of the 24 tram routes on the Melbourne tram network, operated by Yarra Trams. It runs between Pascoe Vale South (signed West Coburg) to Toorak. The route began operating on 1 May 2017.[1]

The route was created as a merger with route 55 with the southern part of route 8. Its establishment was announced in October 2016 as part of works associated with the construction of Domain railway station and the closure of Domain Interchange and Domain Road, on which part of the former route 8 runs on.[2][3]

With Domain Interchange and Domain Road, on which part of the former route 8 runs on, to be closed while Domain railway station is built, route 58 will be altered to continue down St Kilda Road before branching off at Toorak Road in lieu of Domain Road and Park Street from mid-2017.[1][4]

Historically, the route number 58 was used for trams running truncated route 57 services, from Elizabeth Street to the Melbourne Showgrounds.
