Wisegal[edit]

Copyright-problem.svg

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Wisegal, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1105745. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 13:39, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Spam in Innocently Charmed[edit]

Information icon.svg

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Innocently Charmed, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Innocently Charmed is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Innocently Charmed, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. June 2008[edit]

Information.svg Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Helena Bonham Carter. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. BelovedFreak 21:42, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Helena bonham carter as bellatrix lestrange.png)[edit]

Ambox warning blue.svg Thanks for uploading Image:Helena bonham carter as bellatrix lestrange.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:34, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

Talk:Rihanna[edit]

Hi
Please don't refactor other people's comments like you're doing right now. While removal of blatant vandalism and minor refactoring is OK, if in doubt don't do it. In particular, don't censor other comments, and don't remove criticism. Don't even fix typos please, and if you do, it's often best to leave a small signed note beneath the comment explaining it. Thank you. --AmaltheaTalk 19:47, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

re: Anne Hathaway and awards in filmographies in general[edit]

The WikiProject for actors has set guidelines for filmography tables. One of those guidelines is that the word "Won" before an award is redundant and unnecessary. If an award isn't designated "Nomination" or "Nominated", then it can be safely assumed it was a win, otherwise it would not be there. Also, please don't abbreviate the names of awards when they are explicitly titled. Thanks. Wildhartlivie (talk) 19:42, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

You were given an opportunity to discuss this when I posted the above note. Simply reverting changes that you want does not mean they are stylistic changes that are endorsed by the projects governing this article. This article is designated a good article based on content and style presentation. Arbitrary changes such as these jeopardize that. Please stop or it will be considered vandalism and dealt with accordingly. Wildhartlivie (talk) 23:30, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
Until the Screen Actors Guild Awards and the Golden Globe Awards have been presented, it is presumptuous to remove the "Nominated" from those. Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. Wildhartlivie (talk) 09:24, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Kelly Rowland discography[edit]

per WP:LINK red links which are likely to turn blue (i.e. an article is likely to be created soon) should be kept and not removed.

Also you need to use WP:edit summary everytime you make an edit. Lil-unique1 (talk) 16:10, 3 July 2010 (UTC)

Edit Summaries[edit]

A polite reminder... can you please use a WP:edit summary everytime you make an edit. It is the box directly below the box where you edit the article and all you have to do is briefly mention what you did in your edit. This makes it easier for people to identify useful edits from vandalous ones. Thanks... Lil-unique1 (talk) 22:55, 4 July 2010 (UTC)

Just wanted to say thanks for listening to the advice above. Keep it up! And thank you for helping to update the chart peaks.! Lil-unique1 (talk) 23:11, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

"Debut", please[edit]

"début" is unheard of in American English, and Beyoncé is an American artist. Please use "debut".—Kww(talk) 21:21, 12 July 2010 (UTC)

I'm sorry, I don't mean to be rude, but "début" is the correct spelling in the English language, and Wikipedia is written in English. It also has to do with the enunciation of the word. The accented e changes the sound of the word, for instance: Beyoncé, with the accent it's pronounced Be-yonc-AY and with the accent in début it becomes d-AY-but. If you remove the accent from it, it changes the whole sound of the word, and technically it's spelt incorrectly. So I'm going to continue changing it to début, if I come across the word, as that's the way it should be spelt. Angelic-alyssa (talk) 11:51, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
No English word is spelled with diacritics. If you continue to add them, I will treat your editing as being intentionally disruptive.—Kww(talk) 15:13, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
Just to be clear: "Beyoncé" is a name, so we follow her preference. "Début" is a word, so the standard American alphabet and spelling should be used.—Kww(talk) 15:16, 13 July 2010 (UTC)

Motivation[edit]

Where is a reliable source for Kelly Rowland's new album being called Motivation? So far only her single has been confirmed to be called Motivation... — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 19:51, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

Here: http://thatgrapejuice.net/2011/02/kelly-rowland-reveals-album-title-2/Angelic-alyssa [talk] 19:54, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
Thatgrapejuice is NOT a reliable source... they were first to announce her album was called One Woman Show, which was later disputed by Rowland on The Today Show when she said she had never confirmed. So unless Rowland or her label confirm a title the album will remain at its title of Kelly Rowland's third album because this project has had too many false claims... only two months ago was Soundz saying he'd produced Rowland's next single titled "Make Believe" featuring Gucci Mane... — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 19:58, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
Nothing is a freaking reliable source anymore. First I was told not to update Helena Bonham Carter's filmography table unless IMDB puts it, so I wait until IMDB updates, post it on there and it gets removed anyway! You can never make your bloody mind's up. — Angelic-alyssa [talk] 20:00, 27 February 2011 (UTC)
ThatGrapeJuice has never been reliable. Its called common sense... TGJ has twice before reported incorrect things about the album. They've sourced things from twitter which is not reliable. If Kelly's own website only confirms the single is called "Motivation" do you no think it pays dividend to wait for official confirmation.... ? — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 20:04, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

March 2011[edit]

Thank you for your contributions. One of your recent contributions to Helena Bonham Carter has been reverted or removed, because it contains speculative or unconfirmed information about a future event. Wikipedia has a policy called Wikipedia is not a crystal ball, which discourages such edits. Please only add material about future events if it is verifiable, based on a reference to a reliable source. Thank you. GcSwRhIc (talk) 14:55, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

On the Adele discography, twice you have changed the peak of "Set Fire to the Rain" from 2 to 1. The chart used in the article is the Dutch Top 40, on that it has peaked at 2. so stop changing it to 1, unless is climbs to 1 on there of course. thanks. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Hi there. If you notice that I have reverted your edit, it is almost always because your edit is not sourced. Filmographies[edit]

Why are you changing filmographies to add totally unnecessary 'align="center"' arguments? This is not specified anywhere in the Manual of Style. You do not have consensus for such a change, and you should not be forcing it into so many articles without discussion. Elizium23 (talk) 23:00, 10 May 2011 (UTC) Also, I have noticed that you removed {{sortname}} from some filmography when they needed that template placed for proper sorting. Is there some reason you are making destructive changes like this? Elizium23 (talk) 23:12, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

I added them because I personally believe that it improves the appearance of the table I also didn't intend to remove the sortname on any tables, for that I apologise. I was attempting to neaten up some of the filmography tables that people seem to have left uncared for, I apologise if this has caused any disruption to your work. But next to you decide to speak to me, please don't be so rude, that's unnecessary. Angelic-alyssa (talk) 00:19, 11 May 2011 (UTC)

Hi, Alyssa. I can see that you are having some difficulties with your changes, and I agree that everyone should be polite to you and to each other. I think you will find people will be generally helpful if you first propose your changes, and explain why you wish to make them, at the discussion or "talk" pages for the articles before making changes. Try to be patient and wait for an answer for a couple of days, in case people are offline. Obviously, this doesn't apply to objective matters, such as typos and factual errors (assuming you can cite a reliable source). Cosmetic or style changes, however, such as centering things in tables, should be discussed first, as the editors who have been working on the articles for a long time may have a reason for the choices that are made. Our Manual of Style (WP:MOS) says, with respect to most optional style issues, not to substitute your judgment for the judgment of the editors who have been working on an article, though you can try to persuade them if you feel that something should look different. If you raise an issue on a talk page, and the other editors disagree, move on to other kinds of changes - there is plenty to do here at Wikipedia without getting bogged down in arguments over minor issues. Also, see WP:V and WP:CITE regarding how to cite your sources for new information that you add. Feel free to contact me if you would like advice on anything, as I have been around for over five years. All the best! -- Ssilvers (talk) 02:30, 11 May 2011 (UTC)

I sincerely apologise, thank you very much for your response and I will do in the future. Angelic-alyssa (talk) 08:18, 11 May 2011 (UTC)

Please don't keep changing sortable tables to unsortable, as you've done twice at The Good Wife (TV series). Also, if your changes are reverted, before reinstating them, look at the edit history for why they were reverted. Finally, please start using edit summaries to explain your changes. Thanks.--Bbb23 (talk) 19:39, 5 June 2011 (UTC)

Yeah I realised, sorry, and I will do. Angelic-alyssa (talk) 20:47, 05 June 2011 (UTC)

Hi. I hope you are fine. I need your help.
  • Do you have a link which clearly states Beyonce confirmed that EOT is the third single during her concert in France?
  • Any interviews her producers, writers etc give talking about their working experience with Beyonce?
  • A link which lists all the songs that debuted below the UK Singles Chart Top[ 100 positions?

If you do not have all the answers, please try to ask on UKMIX. They will surely help. I am actually creating and article for "End of Time".

I don't, I'm sorry. Angelic-alyssa (talk) 19:07, 27 August 2011 (UTC)
Can you please ask someone on the forum? I also heard that she got an award for 30,000+ plays. JiveshTalk2Me 18:16, 27 August 2011 (UTC)

Party[edit]

Hello. It seems "Party" is not a single, as confirmed by several people visiting that forum. Can you confirm? JiveshTalk2Me 17:24, 2 September 2011 (UTC)

Please reply. It would be appreciated a lot. JiveshTalk2Me 12:12, 4 September 2011 (UTC)
Jivesh, I'm going to university in a few days and I'm really busy, I'm sorry but I don't have time to keep asking people questions. All I know is that it hasn't been released to radio, like it was supposed to be, so I doubt that it is a current single. Angelic-alyssa (talk) 17:54, 4 September 2011 (UTC)
Thanks. JiveshTalk2Me 13:03, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

I don't think so. I've read from numerous places that it wasn't released then (I wouldn't know for certain, as I live in the UK and I'm not sure of all the sites for the US radio) and http://www.fmqb.com/Article.asp?id=16691 this also confirms "Love on Top" being the next single, if you'd like to update it? Request re: Musicals articles[edit]

Happy New Year, Alyssa. The consensus at the Musicals project was not to put quotation marks around the song names in the song lists, although we do use them in the plot summaries and elsewhere in the narrative portions of the articles. Would you please leave them out in the song lists? Also, would you please not remove the double spaces after periods? Two spaces helps editors to see, in the edit screen, where a sentence has ended. It does not affect the reader's view. Finally, why are you changing col-break to col-2? Is there an advantage to that change? In addition, a space after the col-break helps editors to see where each column ends. These minor format items are for the convenience of the people who work frequently on these articles, so I hope you will help us out by not making these changes in other articles. Finally, Tony Awards are more important than Drama Desk awards and should be listed first. It should not be alphabetical, but rather should show the most prestigious awards first for each production. I don't think Outer Critics' Circle and lesser awards should be listed at all, unless the production is not a Broadway production. Audience choice awards should not be listed. Thanks. -- Ssilvers (talk) 20:50, 28 December 2011 (UTC)

Edits in Curtains[edit]

Hello, I am curious as to why you removed the Outer Circle Critics Awards section from Curtains (musical). Those awards are significant, and if they aren't cited in the article, they are elsewhere on Wikipedia (like on the nominee's individual articles, like Jason Danieley and Karen Ziemba). -The Wing Dude, Musical Extraordinaire (talk) 18:41, 15 January 2012 (UTC)

I removed them as I had added them to tables in previous Musical pages and had been told that the awards aren't deemed important enough. The important awards for Broadway shows are Tony Awards and Drama Desk Awards. Angelic-alyssa (talk) 20:24, 17 January 2012 (UTC)
Hmmm.... alright, that's fine. Your decision was correct; I just wonder why they only want the important awards up on this article. You've got celebrity articles that have awards like "Ranked #57 hottest in (fill-in-the-blank) magazine" and those awards are deemed as fine. It just makes me wonder... Anyway, thanks for shedding some light! -The Wing Dude, Musical Extraordinaire (talk) 22:51, 20 January 2012 (UTC)
Who told you this? You deleted a lot of award information from Jersey Boys and disguised it as a minor edit when it is nothing of the sort. Varlaam (talk) 21:34, 30 January 2012 (UTC)
My apologies, I don't know why I did that, and Ssilvers told me that they had no place. I was personally keeping them in, until he told me to stop. Angelic-alyssa (talk) 10:49, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
If there is a standard, or some de facto standard, then that's ok.
The issue is deleting genuine content, marking it m, whilst saying nothing.
That's the problem.
The summary should be, whatever, "Current standard only allows tabulation of X and Y awards", or your own phrasing that conveys that.
I reverted your edit as vandalism since I had just been cleaning up after an actual vandal moments earlier.
Varlaam (talk) 18:21, 31 January 2012 (UTC)

Need your help[edit]

Hi. I saw you have made a many contributions to the UK charts series of articles. I've recently created a similar series of articles of the U.S. singles charts by decade, which are built the same way the British ones are (by decade and with statistics).

These are the articles:

Unfortunately, there are some Wikipedians whom oppose keeping these articles around, claiming that they are essentially a duplication of information which already exists in other articles (namely, the extended articles covering individual years in the U.S. singles chart) and therefore they are in their opinion redundant – even though in my opinion, these articles present the chart lists more effectively (through sortable lists with reduced redundant data) and contain statistics by decade which does not exist elsewhere on Wikipedia. Despite this opposition, so far three of these articles have survived individual AfDs. Nevertheless, according to this current ongoing deletion review it seems that very soon another bigger AfD is going to be held in which the fate of ALL these articles is going to be determined in a voting. I myself believe that these articles have a lot of potential and could be further expanded/developed. Nevertheless, if this potential would not be demonstrated soon enough, I fear the outcome of the upcoming voting, knowing that many Wikipedians might not see the value in such a series and/or its potential to be further expanded/developed.

Because you have had a lot of experience in developing the British charts articles, I assume you might have some good insights on how to expanding this series of articles as well. I would appreciate any help you would be able to provide in expanding/developing this series of articles.

Thanks in advance. TheCuriousGnome (talk) 02:29, 2 February 2012 (UTC)

Matilda the Musical[edit]

I have reverted your award edit. The olivier awards need to be there but not at the expense of the others. They are no less notable or important to the production history. You also needed to reference the awards. I have re added them, but will need to try and integrate into one table but will do that later.Edinburgh Wanderer 15:48, 15 March 2012 (UTC)

Care to comment?[edit]

Hi. Would you like to comment here? An editor proposed to note all the tracks that the credited people on the album are on, such as: (bullet) Name - instrument/role (track #, #, #, etc.). I don't have much precendant, but the guidelines at WP:Albums show differently (Wikipedia:WikiProject_Albums/Album_article_style_guide#Personnel) I am arguing that the editor's addition is undue.
