Islam in Iran[edit]

Salam Alaykum,

I know that Shah Ismail forced some people to curse Rashidun and even killed some others, but the conversion is not so easily. It's oversimplification of the cultural transition, which started after Mongol raid and lasted until late Safavid era. Shah Ismail has played significant role in this trend but we can't say The Safavid dynasty under Shah Ismā'il forcibly converted Sunni Hanafi majority of Iran to Ithna Ashari Shia after the Battle of Chaldiran. It's like to say Muslim conquerers forced people to accept Islam. They could have not do it even if they had wanted. Can you imagine a ruler can change the religious identity of a large population just in 15 years.--Seyyed(t-c) 03:23, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In addition, it's against reliable source. For example Momen writes in An introduction to Shia Islam:Ismail was a broken man after Chaldiran. He retired to his palace and withdrew from active participation in the affairs of the state.(Momen (1985), p.107)--Seyyed(t-c) 04:02, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Kehkashan, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Kehkashan (Karachi). It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting it into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is considered undesirable because it splits the page history which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Hi - I see you have recently created one or more new stub types. As it states at Wikipedia:Stub, at the top of most stub categories, and in many other places on Wikipedia, it is recommended that new stub types are proposed prior to creation at Wikipedia:WikiProject Stub sorting/Proposals, in order to check whether the new stub type is already covered by existing stub types, whether it is named according to stub naming guidelines, whether it is otherwise correctly formatted, whether it reaches the standard threshold for creation of a new stub type, and whether it crosses existing stub type hierarchies. Your new stub type is currently listed at WP:WSS/D - please feel free to make any comments there as to any rationale for this stub type. And please, in future, consider proposing new stub types first! Grutness...wha? 00:43, 29 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Clock towers in the Pakistan, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Clock towers in the Pakistan has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Clock towers in the Pakistan, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Proposed deletion of Jam Sadiq Ali[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Jam Sadiq Ali, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

non-notable, unsourced biography article. Fails WP:V

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. --AbsolutDan (talk) 12:11, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent addition to Multan has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Punjab flotilla, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Indus flotilla. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally moving or duplicating content, please be sure you have followed the procedure at Wikipedia:Splitting by acknowledging the duplication of material in edit summary to preserve attribution history.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Please stop. Continuing to remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to K.G. School, without resolving the problem that the template refers to may be considered vandalism. Further edits of this type may result in you being blocked from editing Wikipedia. tedder (talk) 17:37, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Pakistan Gems and Jewellery Development Company requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Alexf(talk) 12:19, 26 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Ata Fida Aziz! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 941 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Syeda Abida Hussain - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Runa Laila (Sindh) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

An editor has tagged Kulachi (tribe), an article which you have created or worked on, as {{Unreferenced}}. Thank you for your contributions to the encyclopedia, but when adding content (particularly for facts and figures), as you have to the article Kulachi (tribe), please cite a reliable source for the content you're adding or changing, especially when adding even remotely contentious information to biographies of living persons. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.
