Fəxrəddin Veysəlov

Hi, You have deleted my wikipedia page. May I ask you why? I am a professor of linguistics and my books, articles and work was pulled together on that page. Could you please reinstall it. Kind regards, Prof. V. Veysalov — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fəxrəddin Veysəlov (talkcontribs) 10:04, 27 March 2016 (UTC)

  • Wikicology, I am pleased to see you withdraw your legal threat. I would prefer you to withdraw fully your moans about invasion of privacy.
Fully withdrawn. Thank you. Wikigyt@lk to M£ 11:08, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
@Peter Damian: I'm deeply sorry for any misuse of words. It has never been my intention. Cheers. Wikigyt@lk to M£ 11:11, 30 March 2016 (UTC)

Peter Damian, is there actually any request in the above for me to take action? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:03, 30 March 2016 (UTC)

Wikicology, thank you. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 19:33, 30 March 2016 (UTC)

  • I think, seeing as you hold the block button, and seeing as you indirectly allowed him wreak devastation on articles about poison, an indef block might be in order. Against this, people (and he himself) are arguing (1) that he made a few innocent mistakes, and has learned his lesson, and (2) that he has been a credit to Wikipedia since he 'rejoined'. In reply to (1), the mistakes clearly weren't innocent. He lied about IP addresses, pretended he had only socked for a few says, rather than nearly a whole year etc, and is still saying it was merely a 'misuse of words' rather than blatant lying. Clearly his whole purpose was to get his wretched autobiography onto Wikipedia, it's just that he became increasingly sophisticated. To (2) his bizarre edits to two poison articles could easily have caused someone to get killed. This is hardly a credit to Wikipedia. Clearly to establish a reputation he tried to create as many articles as possible, by the simple technique of plagiarising a single article then supporting it with unconnected references to add gravitas. Indef block in my view, to encourage the others. What sort of message are we giving out by allowing him to stay? I will leave it to you. PS I have just been notified about this, which seems to be the same story. I will check out tomorrow. — Peter Damian (talk) 19:03, 30 March 2016 (UTC)

You and Wikicology both need to be less long winded. Could I have a link please to these "bizarre" edits. I am inclined to say reformed character. What sins has he committed in the last six months? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 19:33, 30 March 2016 (UTC)

Let's start with Nitrogen dioxide poisoning. Now deleted, and some other articles cleaned up. Basically to gain points on Wikipedia he plagiarised other articles, and added fake references. Some of the stuff he added about poisons was completely wrong. Is that enough? Jytdog has suggested he be banned from any medical topic. I suggest he be completely banned from Wikipedia. EOMPeter Damian (talk) 19:43, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
I am sorry that you feel this inappropriate, but I had understood that seeking advice and counsel is something encouraged by behavioral guidelines, and while I do appreciate your own efforts to ensure Wikipedia is to be edited only by experienced editors, my question becomes how does one gain that experience unless one actually does edit the encyclopedia we are told ANYONE CAN EDIT? Might you be wiling to assist in my minor efforts to improve the project? Wikigyt@lk to M£ 23:58, 30 March 2016 (UTC)

A recent example. This was just the first randomly picked recent contribution that I checked and just reverted, so there's probably a lot more, likely far too much to be checked by even a handful of people. - DVdm (talk) 20:06, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
Second random check: [1]. Removed unsourced red links [2]. - DVdm (talk) 20:19, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
Thanks for your comments. My action is fine in the example you pointed out. Yes, I removed the external link because the link there is already on the infobox. In this edit, and this one you pointed out, my edit is also fine. Firstly, I created Olu Aboluwoye and I nominated it for deletion myself. The article was deleted and it still appear on the list of notable faculty member on the Adekunle Ajasin University article. {U|Dvdm}}, should "Olu Aboluwoye" remain on the list? The removal of other non-notable people from the list is also justified.
Per this policy, a person is typically included in a list of people only if all the following requirements are met:
* The person meets the Wikipedia notability requirement.
  • The person's membership in the list's group is established by reliable sources.
There are some common exceptions to the typical notability requirement:
  • If the person is famous for a specific event, the notability requirement need not be met. If a person in a list does not have a Wikipedia article about them, a citation (or link to another article) must be provided to: a) establish their membership in the list's group; and b) to establish their notability on either WP:BLP1E or WP:BIO1E.
No reliable sources to established the subject notability and no indication that the people met the above requirement. Hence their removal. Please don't see my comment as argumentative. I'm only trying to explain the reason for my action. There are lots to learn here and no one is perfect. I will address all the concern raised and there is no doubt that I've learn from my mistakes. In the interim, I will focus on general cleanup on the articles I created. If I need help, I will contact a more experienced editor. However, I will start doing this by next week. This week is a stressful one for me. SlimVirgin's and other editors at ANI have advised me to stay away from health-related topics and I will stick to that advice. — Wikigyt@lk to M£ 22:46, 30 March 2016 (UTC)

Unblocking deleted page

Hi there. The page Ritika Singh was deleted (rather abruptly) last month. She has since gone on to win recognition at India's biggest film awards, National Film Awards for her work in that film. [3] The actress in question has also provided several more interviews, signed more films etc. Would you be able to unlock the article and allow it to be created again? — Editor 2050 (talk) 10:44, 28 March 2016 (UTC)

  • Editor 2050, "abruptly" - nonsense - the AfD discussion ran twice as long as usual. Giving interviews is not evidence of notability! What matters is where the interviews are written up and published. If you really can show that she has become notable since Feb 22, submit a new article via AfC. If it is accepted then unprotection will be uncontroversial. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 19:33, 30 March 2016 (UTC)

Deleted Article

Dear Roger, I was just informed that you deleted a Wikipedia page named Goran Obradović - Čele that I created. The page was removed under Article7 article about a real person, which does not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject. Seeing that I am new at this, I did not have time to write the whole biography about Mr. Obradovic, who is the best track and field coach in history of Serbia and one of the best track and field coaches for jumping events in the world. I want to publish another article, but this time I will write the complete biography. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Track & Field Serbia (talkcontribs) 09:27, 31 March 2016 (UTC)

LuxuryEstate page deletion

Hello Roger, Please forgive me, I am new to Wikipedia as a contributor. I am writing this following the link you provided me in the email I received from you. I have little background in coding so I understand some things, but it's not easy :) Let me please try again.

You deleted the page: LuxuryEstate and this page was already tagged for "Speedy deletion" by another users. I clicked the button and wrote why I think this website should have not been deleted. I do not know if you can read this message. If not I will write it again. If you had the chance to read it, I would like to ask you why the page has been deleted.

I took this page as an example, because it's a similar website with similar numbers. And it's listed in Wikipedia. JamesEdition. I just do not understand and I would like to learn. I paid attention in writing it, not emphasising anything, just wrote facts supporting them with references. — Marcus Domus 11:42, 1 April 2016 (UTC) Mark — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mark parmigiano (talkcontribs)

  • Mark, if and only if you have no COI, create a new article which provides some evidence of notability and submit it via AfC. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:00, 4 April 2016 (UTC)

Didn't the article claim to be assigned to a notable label, or am I thinking of another article? — Adam9007 (talk) 12:38, 1 April 2016 (UTC)

  • Adam, please learn to provide a link if you talk about an article - even if it has been deleted. Fourth time lucky for the creator. Currently at AfD. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:00, 4 April 2016 (UTC)

deleted article, need the info

Hi, You deleted my page that I have been working on for hours. Can you please send me the content? I currently have a page in draft (waiting to be reviewed by wiki). This page is not for promotional use. Just like many non-profits on wikipedia, this page aims to inform people about the organization and it's founder, etc. Link to deleted page: Deeds Not Words(DNW). I had also explained why this page shouldn't be deleted under Talk. Please further explain why you deleted my page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nshower (talkcontribs)

Deletion of Hartert's fig parrot as hoax

Hi @RHaworth: - just noting that the bird in question does actually exist, e.g. see [4] - entry #4. User:Hinata Ryunosuke have been harshing my mellow for a good while because they never source their additions and apparently don't know what a talk page is, but at least they are not making up birds (1st of April notwhithstanding). That stub would need sourcing but it's legit. What do you think of reinstating it? I shall then go about ref'ing it. - On a related note, if you know of a method to get an editor to pay attention to their bloody talk page at all, please tell me, because that person seems to exist in blissful and futile isolation... -- Elmidae (talk) 15:37, 1 April 2016 (UTC)

copyrighted material

You deleted our article citing copyrighted material. I would like to let you know that you are wrong in your swift judgement! The material used was a personal account of meeting the person who the article was written about. I personally put that information online in 1997. Even more, the current Assembly that owns the content of the website granted a written permission to use this historic account.

We've been trying to comply with Wikipedia's requirements, despite useless canned responses of various Wikipedia reviewers for nearly two months. A number of folks stepped in to assist in research. Please be a bit more sensitive to other folks' time and effort. Please restore the article and we can make adjustments, if you be so kind to read and explain your objections. If you need any proofs that we have all legal rights to the materials used, this can be arranged as well. This is what you deleted: draft:Anna Reinke. Cheers. Ssinyakov (talk) 17:08, 1 April 2016 (UTC)

  • Ssinyakov, who the "we" in whose name you are writing? Corporate accounts are not allowed. Also I object to the phrase "canned responses" - draft reviewers do not do that. You clearly did not read their responses and act on them. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:28, 5 April 2016 (UTC)

RHaworth -- No, no corporate accounts here. Just a number of volunteers, members of the Baha'i community, that decided to commemorate the life of a historically significant member in our community. She happen to live in the very same county as we are, and the very first Baha'i in the entire state of Texas. Unfortunately, we added all the new findings about her directly to the Wikipedia's article, assuming it'll be always there. Had we known about possible delete action, we'd at least keep a copy of the draft for ourselves. In fact, the very same day that you deleted it, we've added two additional references, one from an doctoral dissertation and another from a regional newspaper. So, we were getting pretty close, or at least we thought so...

If you'd be so kind to restore the article, we'd be able to submit new changes for review, and hopefully get it approved this time. Ssinyakov (talk) 02:14, 6 April 2016 (UTC)

  • See this re using copyright material on Wikipedia. But establishing notability may be the greater problem. Text emailed. Feel free to try again. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:38, 6 April 2016 (UTC)

RHaworth -- I've checked all messages, including Spam folder in my gmail account but could not find any emailed with the text of the article... Could you please either try sending again or restore the Draft page? All the references and the cryptic syntax of Wikipedia's article content may be lost in the email, I fear. It would be so much easier to start with the existing draft. We are certainly not giving up on this project, but it does have a fairly steep learning curve. — Ssinyakov (talk) 16:00, 11 April 2016 (UTC)

  • Text emailed. If it don't arrive, check your preferences here. Neither the references (for what little they were worth) nor the syntax will be lost. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:48, 11 April 2016 (UTC)

RHaworth -- I apologize for taking more of your time. I have checked my email a number of times but was not able to locate a message from you. I went ahead and changed my email associated with this wikipedia profile. It is on a different server and I hope it won't reject your message. Could you, please try and resend it one more time? Thanks. Ssinyakov (talk) 21:25, 14 April 2016 (UTC)

RHaworth -- I got it this time! Thanks again. Ssinyakov (talk) 03:40, 15 April 2016 (UTC)

Hello

I know you can't possibly do anything about this issue that I am going to address, but I saw that you deleted a file that I uploaded file:Ariana Grande - Dangerous Woman (Album).png because it is redundant to File:Ariana Grande - Dangerous Woman (Official Album Cover).png. I have seen that the second file was actually uploaded later than mine, so I don't know why my version was deleted but not the user's. I have noticed that the user is always doing the same thing, trying to delete album covers while replacing with his own version, and nominating the original party's as deletion because it is redundant, but in most cases, he does it to replace the album covers with 300px PNG covers, which he claims it is what is "preferred". However, I uploaded the Dangerous Woman album cover with the same 300px PNG and the file size was lesser than 100KB, and he removed mine for some reason after I uploaded mine. I just wish that such file deletions should be checked first before deleting the album cover. I apologise if I sound rude or whatsoever, but this user has always had something against me, and I am really annoyed. I don't see how he can get away with it, but when I tried to do the same thing, I can't escape. Do you have any solutions? Thanks! (please ping me if you reply.) & mdash; Nahnah4 (talk | contribs | guestbook) 04:38, 2 April 2016 (UTC)

  • Nahnah4, why do you say "you can't possibly do anything about this issue" and why don't you name "the user"? The fact is that if it is a genuine problem then something can be done. I am not myself inclined to take the matter up but a well referenced request for action at ANI may well produce results. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:52, 6 April 2016 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Firearms Import & Export

Where can I find the deleted talk page for this article? Was there any input from other editors, such as was solicited from Wikiproject Firearms? Why was I not given an explanation for the deletion on the article talk page or my user page? I put quite a bit of effort into that article so I think I at least deserve some explanation. Not much incentive for people to donate their free time creating useful articles if they are summarily deleted. — Ghostofnemo (talk) 06:58, 2 April 2016 (UTC)

Also is there any way I can recover the content? Perhaps it can be used elsewhere.Ghostofnemo (talk) 07:00, 2 April 2016 (UTC)

News article that mentions the firm (Associated Press). Mentioned in a gun enthusiast article: http://www.guns.com/review/2013/04/08/gt-27-tanfoglio-pistol/ The reason for creating the article was that I could not find this information, and there were many Google Search results with people asking at discussion lists, "Have you ever heard of this company?", "Where can I find information about FIE?", etc. — Ghostofnemo (talk) 08:07, 2 April 2016 (UTC)

From the Guns.com article cited above: "The GT 27 and clones were made from the 1960’s or possibly earlier until 1990, and can be fun to collect. The earliest all steel Italian guns are of course the most desirable, followed by the early EXCAM imports. FIE sold several variants, including a highly ornate and gold plated “ladies” gun with painted roses on the grips. The best part about collecting the GT 27’s are their low cost and ready availability. Many thousands were sold in this country, and many still remain in sock drawers and closets gathering dust, and even the scarcest will not command much over $200 new in box." Thousands sold over 30 years. — Ghostofnemo (talk) 13:33, 2 April 2016 (UTC)

RHaworth, any way this article could potentially be restored to userspace or draftspace since Ghost appears to be committed to trying to improve the article and search for sources to establish notability? Appable (talk) 22:12, 2 April 2016 (UTC)

I understand that the administrators who deleted it didn't think the company was notable, but on what basis? It was in business for decades and its products are well known. It sold a wide range of firearms. I'm just curious what objective criteria were used to determine notability. Was the decision made by people who have any knowledge of firearms? — Ghostofnemo (talk) 07:47, 3 April 2016 (UTC)

Deleted article can be viewed here now. This reference says the company imported firearms "vast numbers" of inexpensive firearms. — Ghostofnemo (talk) 07:51, 7 April 2016 (UTC)

  • It is an important principle that Wikipedia deletions should be done by admins who have no specialist knowledge of the subject. You did not manage to provide evidence of the company's notability so I zapped it. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:49, 7 April 2016 (UTC)

Iranian Biofuel Society (IBS)

Dear RHaworth, Iranian Biofuel Society (IBS) is not a company, nor a normal organization but an academic society in charge of promotion of biofuels in Iran. I had placed sufficient explanations in the Talk page earlier. I greatly appreciate it if you kindly take a look at the references again and please reconsider your decision.

IBS is a non-profit academic society established by an act of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology (Iran) and is in fact contributes to the implementation of clean energy carriers in the country. It is the focal point of scientists and scholars working in the field in the country and hold educational and extension workshops, seminars, and conferences to achieve a cleaner environment.

This is the announcement of the establishment of IBS released on the Official Newspaper of the government of I.R. of Iran. It is in Farsi though but any Editors on Wikipedia who also understand Farsi can verify the authenticity of the page.

Thank you again for your kind understanding and cooperation. Regards, Meisam tab (talk) 12:15, 5 April 2016 (UTC)

Please also consider the Official Site of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology (Iran) announcing the inauguration of the IBS branch in the Central Region of Iran in Isfahan. (my apology for the lengthy link; that`s how it appears in the address box :-))

I would also like to point out that the User nominated the page for deletion, i.e., User:World Cup 2010 is apparently a native Farsi speaker and could have very easily verified these points. However, my gut feeling is that the major pint of the nomination was vandalism. — Meisam tab (talk) 12:31, 5 April 2016 (UTC)

@Meisam:Please read Wikipedia:Credible claim of significance. While I'm not going to express an opinion about this article (I tend to recuse myself from anything Iran-related), please note that the claim of significance needs to be made explicitly clear in the article itself, not just in the external links. And I don't understand what you mean here by "normal organization"; however, even academic societies are subject to CSD A7, which refers to any group of people, regardless of how this group is classified. By the way, I doubt that RHaworth would delete any article simply because it has a speedy deletion tag - he would first check it himself. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 12:22, 7 April 2016 (UTC)

עוד מישהו, thank you very much for the kind instructions. I will create the Iranian Biofuel Society (IBS) again soon and will do my best to get it done accordingly. — Meisam tab (talk) 05:31, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

RHaworth is a wonderful editor clearlly seen through his invaluable contributions to English Wikipedia. Since, IBS is an Iranian academic society, most or all the references are bound to be in Farsi. As far as his profile indicates he is not a Farsi speaker and therefor he is bound to rely upon Farsi speaking editors. In this specific case, sufficient evidence had been provided for the user who had originally placed the speedy tag but he failed to respond. — Meisam tab (talk) 05:40, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

Hi, Please give notification to this user for above comment which is a clear personl attcak about me thank you [6]. — World Cup 2010 (talk) 21:20, 7 April 2016 (UTC)

World Cup 2010, the link provided pertaining the Announcement of Establishment of Iranian Biofuel Society (IBS) in the Official Newspaper of Iran was a very valid reference."آگهی تاسیس: وبگاه روزنامه رسمی جمهوری اسلامی ایران".. This could be also verified by any Farsi speaking Wikipedia Editors. کاربر:تهراني ها,(User page on Farsi Wikipedia), who originally created this page on Farsi Wikipedia "روزنامه رسمی جمهوری اسلامی ایران". could be contacted to verify the authenticity of this claim (and the above-mentioned Link). You were also informed of similar pages on English Wikipedia about Iranian Academic Societies under the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology (Iran), i.e., Linguistics Society of Iran. User: Hamid Hassani who has made more than 14,000 contributions to English Wikipedia and has also edited this page once could be contacted to verify this. It is unfortunate that although your profile at World Cup 2010, indicates that you know Farsi near Native level and therefore, you could have easily investigated the references provided and could have tried to improve the page on the Wikipedia accordingly, instead you ignored the explanations and references provided on the Talk page and posted a note implying that "None of the References introduced by this user is valid". Given the fact mentioned about your profile, i.e., level of proficiency in Farsi, this might have misled the other Editors who are not Farsi speakers. Anyway, please bear in mind that we all strive to improve English Wikipedia and that nothing is personal here. Wikipedia Editors regardless of their years of presence and number of contributions are advised to try to verify the references provided very carefully before trying to nominate pages for speedy deletion. They are also advised to try to talk to each other on the Talk page of articles with an aim to strengthen the editorial community. — Meisam tab (talk) 13:02, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

  • Apology for lengthy link not accepted. You need to learn how to "pipe" links - see what I did to the link . You are far too long winded. I recommend you to find at least a couple of English language references before you try again via AfC. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:14, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

Thank you very much RHaworth for the advice. I tried to shorten all the URLs but as you know they won`t be saved; will be filtered rather. Thank you for the kind instructions on piping links too; I will sure do that. Given the explanations I provided, may I also ask you to please consider restoring the Iranian Biofuel Society (IBS)`s page, of course if you have already managed to verify the authenticity of the provided references, Thank you! Meisam tab (talk) 19:28, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

  • "I tried to shorten all the URLs but as you know they won`t be saved; will be filtered rather" - I have no idea what you mean. How can I "verify the authenticity of the references" - they are all in Farsi of which I know nothing. Text emailed. Re-read my advice above about AfC. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:36, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

You got a point dear RHaworth, I was wondering if you could please restore the page for a certain peripd of time and this way I will the opportunity to ask established Wikipedia Editors who are active on both Farsi and English Wikipedia to verify the authenticity of the references. This way, a Wikipedia page and tens of hours of work put into creating it could be saved. Thank you!Meisam tab (talk) 04:42, 10 April 2016 (UTC)

  • @RHaworth: Hello. I would like to ask you to restore the deleted article, "Iranian Biofuel Society (IBS)". As Meisam tab announced above, IBS is a non-profit academic society, and is not a company, nor a normal organization, but an academic society in charge of promotion of biofuels in Iran. IMHO, current Draft:Plarium is a perfectly viable article (with lots of reliable refs etc., so WP:N is satisfied - IMHO very obviously). Please advise how to proceed further (currently an attempt to move Draft:Plarium into mainspace says that it is protected). — Ipsign (talk) 12:07, 7 April 2016 (UTC)

  • If you know I deleted it, how come you don't know who salted it? Unsalted. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:14, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

Request for deleted content

Would you please provide the deleted page Draft:St. Patrick's Catholic Church (Council Bluffs, Iowa)? It was deleted due to a speedy deletion after a Wiki Commons upload of mine failed since I also put it on my website. I will abandon attempting to upload the image and remove it from the wiki draft. Thank you for your help, Krmarshall (talk) 18:44, 7 April 2016 (UTC)

  • What's with the really kinky idea of piping a valid wikilink to a URL? It wasn't the image that got it deleted - it was that the text was a copyvio. Text emailed. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:14, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

I just used the Link button and that is how it did it. Didn't bother changing it. Do you have any suggestions since I am the author of both? — Krmarshall (talk) 19:09, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

Also, I didn't get the email, so I just reconfirmed my email, which I changed the other day. Could I trouble you to resend? Thank you again for your help. — Krmarshall (talk) 19:32, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

  • So you put wrong data into the link button! You must change the notice at the bottom of your copyvio source to a {{cc-by-sa-4.0}} or compatible release. Ditto on the page where the photo appears. Then, in the article point out the source/s are released under Creative Commons: in an html comment in the text, in the talk page and in an edit summary. I will email again in a moment. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 19:46, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

X-ray brachytherapy

I just told the author of contact x-ray brachytherapy (Papillon) for rectal cancer that the article didn't look bad enough to me to require deletion and was about to remove the speedy tag when I saw you had deleted the page. Would you mind giving Asunmyint some pointers on what I missed that made it satisfy G11? Thanks, Huon (talk) 21:07, 7 April 2016 (UTC)

  • OK, G11 was possibly stretching a point but I am a simple minded-guy who automatically assumes that someone who submits just one article must have a COI so I was happy to go with what TyA (talk · contribs) had put in the speedy tag. What was wrong with it:
  • it was about four times too long and more suited for an academic journal than for here
  • the refs showed the same fault: describing the antecedents of the therapy rather than what people (and people in the real world) think of it
  • if it was only approved by NICE in 2015 Sept, it may be too soon for an article here.
Asunmyint, if and only if a) you have no COI and b) you can provide decent refs to show its notabilty (Has it, for example, been written up by the Daily Wail which has a good line in medical articles?), then submit an article via AfC. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:36, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

File:Football Federation Samoa logo.JPG

Hi RHaworth. I saw that you just deleted File:Football Federation Samoa logo.JPG. I believe I was the one who tagged that file with {{db-f1}}, which might have been a mistake based upon this discussion about a similar file I tagged the same way. I didn't pay close attention to the part about both files needing to be the same format. Maybe it's all irrelevant now, but I just wanted to point out my mistake in case it creates an issue down the road. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:23, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

  • As T. S. Eliot says: this “is the greatest treason: to do the right deed for the wrong reason”. The image had been an orphan since this edit in 2011. So A WP:F5 tag would have been perfectly valid. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:36, 8 April 2016 (UTC)

Designation error

Please I had been bothered you about this thing. Unfortunately, I had been deleted this article Rendered Ideas, due to A7 criteria error. If you want to talk, feel free to go to user talk:Synthelabobabe21 for more information. — Synthelabobabe21 (talk) 00:27, 11 April 2016 (UTC)

Not that it is necessarily notable, but International Journal of Research and Engineering. does not fall within any of the classes ofarticles to which A7 applies: it is not a person, group of people, company, web content, etc., but a publication.Publications of all sorts except web content do not fall under A7. Please restore, and either AfD or Prod. — DGG ( talk ) 00:21, 12 April 2016 (UTC)

Why did you delete this page when an admin had already declined the speedy? Regards — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 20:36, 12 April 2016 (UTC)

In this case the user had not been inactive for one year as required for that type of G6 delete. That is why I declined it However the same user also created the article titled Leeah D. Jackson, so they probably had no need of the sandbox. In this situation it is better to ask the active user about their abandoned draft. — Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:03, 12 April 2016 (UTC)

Draft talk:Wings Hospitals did not meet the criteria for G7 as it wasn't the author who requested deletion. Please can you ensure you adhere strictly to the CSD criteria? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 21:07, 13 April 2016 (UTC)

Can I remind you that per WP:ADMINACCT you are accountable for your admin actions and obliged to respond to queries and correct faults. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 11:04, 15 April 2016 (UTC)

Willes Center for Entrepreneurship

Dear sir, Thank you for your great contributions to Wikipedia. It looks like you have done a lot in your life. That's great!

We are wondering - why was this page Mark and Laura Willes Center for International Entrepreneurship deleted? We had just begun creating it for our university yesterday and did not finish after 5 hours. This is the University Business School Center. It should not be deleted. We should be allowed to finish this. In addition, I thought Universities and Business Schools are exempt from deletion according to A7, which was cited in this removal. This is the name of ours. See here and original talk post.

Please let us restore it and finish the work. PS We have a copy of it, please just allow us to continue. — Macdilbert (talk) 04:19, 14 April 2016 (UTC)

  • Please learn how to create wikilinks and to pipe external links. I am not currently doing anything to stop you reposting this article. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:28, 14 April 2016 (UTC)

List of Deployed HSUPA networks

Can you please recreate this as a redirect, as discussed at the Talk: page. You can lock it in that state to stop it coming back as another unsourced in-universe, but it is a valid redirect. Andy Dingley (talk) 22:49, 14 April 2016 (UTC)

Hello as always , I wondered if you could restore and move this article to Wikipedia:List of hoaxes on Wikipedia as always; I also wondered if you could SNOW delete Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Athanasius of Dendrinata (another years-old fabrication). Thanks in advance as always (BTW, I notice you're getting closer to 380,000 deletions ). SwisterTwister talk 06:02, 15 April 2016 (UTC)

Franglais

Mr Haworth, You have deleted a page which I was sing earlier this week as a resource for a current project: list of French words of English origin. Would you please be so kind as to email me with the text? I would be grateful for swift response as I have a deadline for submission at 6pm today and am very much hoping to make use of it, given it's pertinence to my project. Regards Arran — Preceding unsigned comment added by 185.78.8.34 (talk) 11:26, 15 April 2016 (UTC)

  • Read this and be grateful I am talking to you. You probably are user:Habitstock~enwiki but if not then … You may have intended to sing the page but you obviously did not look at it because its entire content was "Ta Maman!!". — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:04, 15 April 2016 (UTC)

Attribution check

Hi RH, if I may abbreviate! Can you let me know the creation history (author and date) of Draft:Henry Akins which you deleted A10 due to an existing article (Henry Akins)? That article has been flagged by the Coren Bot as a potential copyvio, but the author says it is a mirror of a draft previously created (though draftspace is noindexed...). So anyway, just looking for more datapoints to see about the copyright status of the mainspace article. Thanks! CrowCaw 17:36, 15 April 2016 (UTC)

  • Far from duplicating the mainspace article, the draft seems to be the source of the mainspace article. Draft restored and moved back under Henry Akins. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:17, 15 April 2016 (UTC)

That's what I suspected, thanks for the merge! CrowCaw 22:55, 15 April 2016 (UTC)

kserega, deleted article "Хоплофил"

Good day, yesterday I created an article Хоплофил which you deleted. I believe that the problem of the free circulation of weapons is very relevant, especially in our country. I didn't have enough time to translate this article into English but in the future I will make it. I ask you to restore my article. And send me please the latest text of my article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kserega (talkcontribs) 21:27, 15 April 2016 (UTC)

  • When writing on ru: please write in Russian only. When writing on uk: please write in Українська only. And when writing here, not only must you write in English only but, if you are creating an article, it must contain links to multiple reliable sources, preferably in English. But your piece belongs in Wiktionary, not here. Text emailed. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:50, 16 April 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for the reply. Will there be a reliable source of links to discussions where people use this word? Because I'm confronted with the fact that people incorrectly interpret the word. And I decided to create the article that describes the origin of the word "Хоплофил"

Hello. I do not understand why you deleted my sandbox. I thought the idea of a sandbox was to be able to work peacefully? Can I have my sandbox back or at least the code? Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by IceTestifier (talkcontribs) 18:13, 16 April 2016 (UTC)

A draft

I noticed you deleted a draft Draft:Elspeth Beard as a G13 14 months ago- would it be possible to restore it? Her name was at requested articles, and there are enough sources to pass WP:GNG, so I plan to create an article, but I'd like to see if the draft has any additional content/sources. Robert Heindel draft deletion

Hi RHaworth,

You recently deleted my draft for https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Robert_Heindel due to copyright. I will correct these problems, but I do not have a copy of the article. Could you email it to me? I spent a lot of time on it, so it would be sad if I had to recreate the entire page from scratch.

Template:Attached KML

You've deleted Template:Attached KML/PATCO Speedline and Template:Attached KML/List of MARTA rail stations but these weren't any kind of vandalism. These templates were created according to Template:Attached KML, Template:Attached KML/doc, WP:USRD/MTF/T#Creating a KML file. Templates of this kind are required to show linear objects, such as roads, railway and mass transit lines etc. For example, see links to such maps on pages of Moscow Metro, SEPTA Routes 101 and 102 or Sounder commuter rail in the header and at the end of page in 'KML box'. (Template:Attached KML/Moscow Metro is utilized for Moscow Metro article etc.) — Bluetram (talk) 17:39, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
