Contested deletion

Hello, I see you deleted the page Service Dogs by Warren Retrievers. Can you let me know what I can do to have the page approved next time, and what kind of edits I can make for next time to ensure my article is objective? Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ikb267 (talkcontribs) 00:00, 18 December 2014 (UTC)

  • Please do not make any kind of edits. Simply wait until someone with no COI thinks your organisation is notable and writes about it here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:30, 18 December 2014 (UTC)

Global eSolutions (HK) Limited

hi, thanks for your patrolling. We respect your notes and willing to do any correction to make the page non-advertising. Actually I left msg by clicking the button of "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" but seems no response from you. I can't find the page anymore so I recreated it, the link is in Global eSolutions (HK) Limited.

Our page content was wrote in referring to one of our industry leader who base in Singapore, MetaQuotes Software. We have been tried to write the content as similar to MetaQuotes Software as we can, of course has some minor style rephrase, etc.

To avoid your deletion, can you please provide a clear instruction to us? or we need to follow exactly the same paragraph structure, content and wordings? Thanks :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gesmkt (talkcontribs) 02:31, 18 December 2014 (UTC)

(stalking) Your article has been deleted twice because it was blatant advertising and your use of the word "we" implies the account is shared by multiple people, which is not allowed. You will need to wait until another editor decides your company is notable and starts an article about it. (Apologies for stealing RHaworth's thunder but I really hoped he'd have pictures up by now!) Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 08:47, 18 December 2014 (UTC)

Hi Ritchie333, regarding G11 blatant advertising, I said we will try our best to avoid it and we are willing to do it by referencing other approved page content such as MetaQuotes Software. For using We, because the account is on-behalf the company, but me is the one and the only one who is writing and trying to fix the content. And please do not angry about the page was deleted twice, the only reason of creating a same page again is wanting RHaworth to have idea on the page (because it's deleted) AS I STATED in in my first paragraph. AND please forgive me I'm in a timezone which is completely differ from you, it may cause delay in my response.

Dear RHaworth, I'm not arguing anything but want to express my respect to Wiki and the contributor like you and others. I tried to click the button of "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" which is in your deletion msg, but I haven't receive feedback from you, then when I woke up this morning I saw the page deleted. I believe my first response to your "deletion tag" is within half hour, which shows my full respect on the communication with you.

Please let me know if I could write the page again but in different style and content detail, I shall let you know when I complete for your advise. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.93.192.14 (talkcontribs)

(Please sign your posts.) Wikipedia is a encyclopedia. I think you have gotten yourselves all confused. If you felt hungry and fancied a hamburger would you go to an encyclopedia to find a good fast food outlet to go to? Of course not. The place for your sort of information is a Business directory.--Aspro (talk) 10:18, 18 December 2014 (UTC)
  • I hope you have got the message: kindly have the decency to wait until someone with no COI thinks your company is notable and writes about it here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:30, 18 December 2014 (UTC)

You recently deleted accidental discharge on account of a copyright violation. I checked the book from which the material was believed to have been copied and I suspect the text may have been copied from Wikipedia instead. The book in question is a Nigerian almanac of legal issues, and it's clear that most of the content is copied from other sources. The copyright date on the Google Books version is 2012.[1] Would it be possible to check the article's history and see if a) it existed in a similar form prior to 2012, and b) if the article grew organically or if it was posted in its final form? Those checks may show who copied from whom. Rezin (talk) 21:28, 18 December 2014 (UTC)

Seasonal Greets!

Merry Christmas and a Prosperous 2015 !!!

Hello RHaworth, May you be surrounded by peace, success and happiness on this seasonal occasion. Spread the WikiLove by wishing another user a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, whether it be someone you have had disagreements with in the past, a good friend, or just some random person. Sending you a heartfelt and warm greetings for Christmas and New year 2015.
Happy editing,

Spread the love by adding {{subst:Seasonal Greetings}} to user talk pages with a friendly message.

PS  : nice to see you are a real person with a good interest in architecture, pubs and Croydon (or even all three together), not a tape loop stuck on "kindly have the decency to wait until somebody else thinks your <fill in blank> is notable and writes about it here" Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 21:53, 18 December 2014 (UTC)

Hi - thanks for that. The article should be called kvass not bread kvass. A user renamed it today without consensus (see talk page). Would it be possible to move it back to the name it has had for 10+ years without dispute, and if there is a rename, get consensus on the talk page first? Currently unable to move it back to kvass due to a technical problem. -- GreenC 01:09, 19 December 2014 (UTC)

2FreeHosting - Speedy Deletion

@RHaworth: Hello. 2freehosting was marked as speedy deletion by you. I understand that you believe that this is promotional, but I am trying to make a strictly factual page about 2FreeHosting. I based it on the Weebly and HostGator wiki sites, including the pricing. All I am writing are the pricing, interesting facts (facts that people should know), and roles. I do not believe that this is promotional in any way. Perhaps we can collaborate to create a "good" article? Athertle (talk) 15:12, 21 December 2014 (UTC)

  • Emailed. You may care to contact Wikiwag (talk · contribs) who created the article. Considering that Wikiwag has been here for eight years, the article contained a lot of crass errors, the most significant being the lack of reliable sources. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:38, 24 December 2014 (UTC)

I'd like to ask that you reconsider your deletion of User:Russavia/Abkhazia. First, User:Russavia is a banned editor and letting him edit using IP sockpuppets to ask for deletion is against his ban and discourages him from actually making a proper appeal. Second, there is an MFD at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Russavia/Abkhazia on the article (there I ask to withdraw it in place of a redirect given that the contents were all merged). Again, Russavia is there arguing by sockpuppeting but I reverted his edit and did the merging myself. This way, we have the content without the banned editor's involvement. I would like to ask that you restore the article and replace it with a redirect to Abkhazia–Russia relations so that the page attribution is proper. This is what was done with User:Russavia/Rwanda and User:Russavia/SS. Thanks! -- Ricky81682 (talk) 01:09, 26 December 2014 (UTC)

"This way, we have the content without the banned editor's involvement". HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA do you understand how idiotic that comment is Ricky81682. 212.93.115.108 (talk) 16:49, 26 December 2014 (UTC)
Thanks. I know this may be seemed absurd but I think Russavia does need to actually request reinstatement and ignoring the banning doesn't help him. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 00:21, 27 December 2014 (UTC)

Deleted page copy request

Hi RHaworth,

I do work at AfC and am trying to review a page that has been on backlog. It is attempting to recreate an article, Mirantis, which has been deleted three times; in January 2012 at AfD, in February of this year as A7, and in September as G4 (deleted by you). I would like a copy of the AfD deleted copy to see if it has been substantially altered since the discussion; it clearly would not be A7ed and looks like it would otherwise be a pass, but I don't want to republish it if it would flaunt consensus. I do not know if there is a page to make such requests but you are the most recent deleting sysop so I figured you would be the best person to ask. If you have experience at AfC feel free to review it yourself; if not, I would like a copy of the page so I can accurately review it myself.

Thanks, Deadbeef 01:38, 27 December 2014 (UTC)

Very interesting. I didn't see that exchange; actually, I hadn't noticed that the page was create-protected. You just happened to be the last deleting admin when I was looking at the page. It seems you were exactly correct in your prediction; congrats on winning Wikipedia. (not trying to be sarcastic, I'm actually impressed)

Anyway, thanks for the copies. I've pared down the page's most PROMOy bits into an article that I would give a heartfelt stamp of "close enough" were I reviewing it without its deletion history. I don't have the first copy that got deleted at AfD, but if it's like the third there should be a pretty big gulf between revisions by now. Since the page is bluelocked I suppose it's up to you to pass it or not, depending on how close it tracks with the first edition that got killed at AfD. I personally wouldn't A7 it or !vote against it at AfD as is, for whatever that's worth. The place for it probably isn't "propping up the AfC backlog" one way or another though.

Your second opinion, Deadbeef 12:42, 27 December 2014 (UTC)

Hi again, would you mind either unsalting the Mirantis page or calling the AfC page too similar to the old copy? I feel like it's probably a go for publishing but I can't make a move on it until it's clear to move. Thanks, Deadbeef 01:33, 4 January 2015 (UTC)

Hey RHaworth! I wanted to check with you about what revisions I may include to help bring Cool Freaks' Wikipedia Club to notability guidelines. Here's what I (and a number of other users: Bobamnertiopsis, Boomur, The Interior) have so far: User:DoctorWho42/sandbox. • Please learn wikilinks. I recommend you to move the page to mainspace and immediately start the AfD discussion which the subject deserves. This should pre-empt any attempts at speedy deletion. If you wish, I will move it for you. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:24, 29 December 2014 (UTC)

Pinky porn

Hello. You recently deleted my created page, Pinky (Adult Entertainer). The article seemed like a repost, but I did not realize that there was even an article called Pinky (pornographic actress). I can't see the original post about the actress because it was deleted. If I can't see the original page, then I have nothing to compare with my article to substantiate that it was not a repost or to corroborate the disparity between my article and the old article. I need to know how I can see the original deleted article in the future, instead of just the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pinky (pornographic actress), which of course does not show the deleted article and only shows the problems with the original article. I attempted to address some problems with the link to AVN which I thought differed from the information given in the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pinky (pornographic actress) page.

Also, I need to search for deleted pages concerning Sheena Shaw and Mischa Brooks. I want to know if these articles were previously deleted. Would you help me with that? Thanks, Kinfoll1993 (talk) 22:36, 29 December 2014 (UTC)

  • Copies of both the Pinky articles emailed. At a quick glance the refs in your version did not seem much better than those in the one deleted by AfD. Note that (Adult Entertainer) is wrong in two respects: spurious capitals and meaningless euphemism - she is an adult and she entertains - don't mince words, she is a porno actress. I have emailed you a false start on an autobio for Sheena Shaw - as far as I know that is everything we have on her. See Draft:Mischa brooks. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:19, 30 December 2014 (UTC)

The New World

Hello Dear, I opened a company and thought that it should be on Wikipedia. I read the reason for deletion of it, it says "What is important in it that it should be on Wikipedia, why should it be on Wikipedia." Why? I don't have any reason but it is an real published company as same as others. Or, what can I add to remove the question "Why it should be on Wikipedia." Please reply Sahej Hundal — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hundalsahej (talkcontribs) 02:31, 30 December 2014 (UTC)

  • Where on earth did you find the text you quote: "what is important …"? Wikipedia is not a trade directory. If your company ever becomes notable (I cannot even find your alleged weebly site), someone with no COI will write about it here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:19, 30 December 2014 (UTC)

Hello, RHaworth. My name is Italo Arias, I am nicaraguan wikipedist and I am new one in wikipedia. I created the article Baseball at the Central American Games, but it was deleted and I dont know why. I really don't understand. • Count yourself very luck that I am replying: no explanation of why you are having to violate my IP address policy; horrible page widening and no link to the deleted article. I am not surprised that your article triggered what has happened: no lede, no link back to the parent and totally unreferenced. I have restored it to User:Italo Arias/sandbox where you can work on it from an IP address. I am about to create an unblock request on your behalf. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:56, 31 December 2014 (UTC)
  • I don't see why you're doing this - a CU found a likely link between the accounts, and the article is probably a hoax (as I state below). Lukeno94 (tell Luke off here) 18:03, 31 December 2014 (UTC)
  • Please point me to the checkuser report. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:19, 31 December 2014 (UTC)

Uh... why did you do this? Italo Arias was blocked indefinitely as a sock, and the subject also appears to be a hoax. The above request was blatant block evasion. Lukeno94 (tell Luke off here) 17:52, 31 December 2014 (UTC)

  • The results for 2013 given in this article agree with Italo's page. Are you saying that the reults for other years are hoax? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:15, 31 December 2014 (UTC)

OK, perhaps I was mislead by other people in that AfD, but the fact remains that Italo Arias was blocked indefinitely as a sock and a CU found that a link was likely. Based on that, plus the fact you're acting on behalf of a block-evading IP, I'm seriously confused as to why you would restore the article and file an unblock request for them... Lukeno94 (tell Luke off here) 18:21, 31 December 2014 (UTC)

Located at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Mauricio80/Archive#28_December_2014. I really shouldn't have to provide this myself, since you're the one who seems to be violating a couple of policies at once right now, but hey ho. Lukeno94 (tell Luke off here) 18:22, 31 December 2014 (UTC)

  • You did not need to provide me with the link - I had already looked at that page. Now tell me where on the page is a clerk endorsement confirming that a checkuser check has been done on the edits of Italo? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:33, 31 December 2014 (UTC)
  • Are you being serious? What part of "Likely (bordering on Possilikely (a mix between possible and likely)) is the best I'll be able to do here. Callanecc (talk • contribs • logs) 06:52, 28 December 2014 (UTC)" haven't you seen? Lukeno94 (tell Luke off here) 18:42, 31 December 2014 (UTC)

Why revert my changes?

I took time to create a disambiguation page WSG which you reverted with the message "Dab page is for links to articles" - what does that mean and where should my content have gone instead? Also, how do I check if you wrote me back? can you e-mail me at <redacted>? Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ekkis (talkcontribs) 23:43, 31 December 2014 (UTC)

  • Please learn to read an edit history. I did not revert your edit. The rules for a disambiguation page are rigorous: essentially it consists of links to three or more Wikipedia articles and nothing else. Your page did not meet these criteria so it was reverted. Redirects, please

Hello, Roger. I see that you have been moving some pages from Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation over to draft. That's great, but would you mind leaving redirects behind? A lot of these pages have incoming links from user pages and WikiProjects, and have people still working on them (like me, for instance) who need to find them. Thank you! —Anne Delong (talk) 01:18, 1 January 2015 (UTC)

  • Redirects are for the world's people. Wikipedians are expected to be able to read move log entries, which, obviously, you have done since you are writing to me here. But I shall bear you in mind next time I do a similar move. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:41, 1 January 2015 (UTC)

Thanks. You are right that I was able to find the new pages and update my links - it just made extra work. I was thinking also of the new users who might think that their articles are gone. And, if I put in a request for help about an AfC submission at a Wikiproject, people seeing the redlink are unlikely to check the move log, but will more likely assume that the page is gone and I won't get any help with that draft. Anyway, thanks again. —Anne Delong (talk) 05:53, 3 January 2015 (UTC)

Ballet Pixelle

I was trying to create a new page for Wikipedia called Ballet Pixelle. I was creating the page by using User:Calia42 as a sandbox. My new draft page of Ballet Pixelle, not yet completed, received a "may delete at any time" notice. I contested with a why and please help if I am doing something wrong. No response was received. It was deleted.

This is a troupe that is leading edge in the world of dance technology and deserves recognition. Can I not user User:Calia42 as a sandbox to create a legitimate, notable, verified, copyright ok, referenced page? Was there another reason it was deleted? Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Calia42 (talkcontribs)

  • Because of your COI, I should not be encouraging you but I agree that the deletion was inappropriate. Your user page itself should not be used for drafts. But User:Calia42/sandbox is perfectly acceptable. I have restored the article and moved it there. Considering you had done 70 edits, the article was still in a very poor state - short on wikilinks and totally lacking in any evidence of notability - you could not even manage to link to your own website. You may care to contact Barsad (talk · contribs) who produced a superior version. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:44, 2 January 2015 (UTC)

Thank you very much for restoring and moving this page. I appreciate the help and notes. I have added presentations, conferences, publications, and so on. Still working on it. Most edits were nits and formatting. I am still learning how to do references accurately for formatting. Hence the sandbox :-) COI will be addressed; I started the page based on folks asking and then they will take over. Thank you again. Much appreciated. Catherine Destivelle Eiger

File:Catherine Destivelle Eiger 1992.jpg - author grants permission, not sure how to proceed to stop speedy deletion. Hello Roger, this is about the picture on the Catherine Destivelle article. User Stefan2 sent me a message on my talk page with a new tag about a speedy deletion. All other tags and history disappeared from the picture, that previously contained information about when and how the picture was taken, and about why this picture was the best possibility to illustrate the subject. So I emailed the author of the picture, photographer René Robert, explaining everything and asking him permission. He replied that we can use the photo mentioning his © name, and says he is happy to contribute that way, to free information on the internet. Now I'm not sure how do I proceed with the file itself. What is the best thing to do? Should I just forward his permission email to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org? Is there something else I should do and not do? Thanks in advance for your help. • Please learn: a) the difference between a user page and a user_talk page, b) to provide links when you talk about an article and c) to develop articles in draft space. The horrible shouted title put me off before I even opened the article. The deletion reasons given in the db tag seemed valid so I deleted it. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:22, 4 January 2015 (UTC)

I wasn't shouting neither did I mean to come across as aggressive. I was only writing the article title as it. All said and done, how would you suggest I 'rebirth' the article? Sidewinder message me! 11:46, 6 January 2015 (UTC)

  • So why did you create the article originally with a shouted title? You have been contributing for six years. Do you really need to be told what to do? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:45, 6 January 2015 (UTC)

That's how the book is titled. I believe it will be rude to try to correct the editor by writing it another version. Can I still attempt it again? What would you advise? Sidewinder message me! 10:27, 7 January 2015 (UTC)

  • What do you claim in your first message above that you were proposing to do? What is preventing you expanding it? Why do you need me to point that out? Useful incoming links can wait till later. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:40, 7 January 2015 (UTC)

Pfft! Sir...yes sir. These days I am just too lazy to expand articles on my own. Guess it's time I buckled up. Thanks for the bitter pills. Sidewinder message me! 13:11, 7 January 2015 (UTC)

Confusion about speedy deletion for move

Roger, it looks like you worked on my request to speedy delete Children's Hospital GME Support Reauthorization Act of 2013, which was at that point a redirect, in order to move another page on top of it. However, I think things have gotten confused, possibly because I did a poor job explaining what I thought should happen.

There were two different articles about two different bills with the exact same name: the Children's Hospital GME Support Reauthorization Act of 2013.

I felt it should be the other way around, since the one which became a law was the primary topic, so I moved the second one to Children's Hospital GME Support Reauthorization Act of 2013 (H.R. 297) and proposed the resulting redirect for deletion so the first one could be moved to the undisambiguated title.

However, instead, the two articles seem to have been somehow collapsed into one, leaving half the history unavailable and overwriting some of the content. Do you think you could undo things so that they're separate articles again? Thanks!—Neil P. Quinn (talk) 01:51, 5 January 2015 (UTC)

I am very sorry for merging the two histories - in my defence I will say why does the present top version not have a clear hat note saying "for the failed bill of the same name see …"? Please send me a copy of the edit history annotated with which is which and I will gladly split them apart. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 15:02, 5 January 2015 (UTC)

Fair point about the disambiguation. But in trying to annotate the history, I actually realized both histories are there — I had thought you had somehow deleted one of them. I had already been thinking about merging the pages; now that I know the attribution's taken care of now, I think I'll just go ahead and do that. So it turns out you forced things in a good direction!

Also, as a matter of interest, the US Congress (logical institution that it is) officially calls bills acts from the moment they're proposed, so unless we want to invent new names there's usually nothing else to call them.—Neil P. Quinn (talk) 20:38, 6 January 2015 (UTC)

Dear RHaworth, Hi. Hope all is well. Could I ask why you deleted my contribution to User:Santosh K. Mehrotra's talk page? Best wishes, (Msrasnw (talk) 16:25, 5 January 2015 (UTC))

Thanks. I think his little note that you've deleted was a cry for help from in my view (and his) a notable Indian academic/social policy analyst/media commentator who does not know how Wikipedia works and who has had as a result a page on himself deleted. — (Msrasnw (talk) 16:53, 5 January 2015 (UTC))

I would like a copy of this page so I may edit it to fit Wikipedia policy. I created the page and did not know content provided by the state of Ohio was copyrighted. — FDLeyda (talk) 16:34, 6 January 2015 (UTC)

FAC page deletion

Hi RHaworth, Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Bitcoin/archive1 was not eligible for deletion via G7 because Graham and I had made edits to the page, specifically to provide feedback for Yoshi24517. We would have likely deleted it regardless as a part of FAC housekeeping (so I'm not going to bother undeleting), but generally it's preferred for the FAC coordinators to decide if any nomination pages should be deleted. This note is just a friendly heads-up. Thanks for your hard work. --Laser brain (talk) 01:17, 7 January 2015 (UTC)

Deleted Draft

Hi it looks like you deleted Draft:Bartley J. Madden last night. Can you please explain in more detail? I'm not sure what I did wrong. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kallgaeuer (talkcontribs) 16:31, 7 January 2015 (UTC)

Altiscale

User talk:Sfan00 IMG#Altiscale Deletion, perhaps you can explain there why you backed up a G11? — Sfan00 IMG (talk) 23:09, 7 January 2015 (UTC)

  • Please: a) learn to use wikilinks and b) talk English - "backed up a G11" is gobbledegook. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:35, 7 January 2015 (UTC)

My apologies, re-phrasing, are you able to provide any additional opinion that would support a view that the deleted article draft was indeed overly promotional in tone? If I didn't feel it was, I wouldn't have tagged it for speedy, and if it wasn't you would not have deleted it. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 00:09, 8 January 2015 (UTC)

Aa Te Kevi Dunniya

Aa Te Kevi Dunniya. RH, as you can see from the deleted article, I was in the process of rescuing it from speedy deletion. It has got some press. (And for talk-page stalkers, here's a frank admission of my POV: if I could, I would delete every new article about Bollywood, Tollywood, Mollywood and - my new word for the day! - Dhollywood films. Not to my taste.) What do you think? --Shirt58 (talk) 09:59, 8 January 2015 (UTC)

The Space Arts

Hello there! Please can you help me understand the reasoning behind your speedy deletion of The Space Arts page? We would like to be reinstated ASAP. Thank you! Anna — Preceding unsigned comment added by AnnaEleriHart (talkcontribs) 10:25, 8 January 2015 (UTC)

  • That "we" says it all - kindly have the decency to wait until someone with no COI thinks your website is notable and writes about it here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:12, 8 January 2015 (UTC)

Hi Roger, thank you for clarifying. Does that mean your original reason (clause A7) no longer stands? From reading the Wiki COI page thoroughly, could you let me know how to best disclose my interest (I am a freelance consultant for The Space)? As The Space is an arm of the BBC and The Arts Council here in the UK, we were hoping to use Wikipedia as a reference. We are a community interest company rather than a commercial organisation. Once this is rectified can I also ask that this highlighting of myself as an editor is removed from your page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by AnnaEleriHart (talkcontribs) 17:43, 8 January 2015 (UTC)

  • Oh dear, someone else who prefers meaningless codes to words - see Altiscale above. Why on earth should {{db-web}} no longer apply? There was absolutely no attempt to provide evidence of notability. I still think that you should not be writing the article but if you really insist, submit via articles for creation and declare your COI clearly on the draft_talk: page. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:34, 8 January 2015 (UTC)

Thank you, Roger. I have found your tone very aggressive which was uncalled for. I will be contacting Wikipedia to let them know about this. I made an innocent mistake and you have been extremely intimidating, rather than helpful (which is what Wikipedia asks of an editor). — Preceding unsigned comment added by AnnaEleriHart (talkcontribs) 08:41, 9 January 2015 (UTC)

Draft:STORK 2.0

Hi! Thanks for your work on Wikipedia! My first discussion here. I see you deleted Draft:STORK_2.0 because of the G11 clause. I did not get the chance to contest this speedy deletion as I was away on holidays with few Internet access. May I contest it now, or at least get the text back so I can rewrite it? Thank you! Anjolique

Hello kind sir. I noticed that you recently deleted a wiki page Anjolique. I was wondering what would be required for the page to be qualified to be reinstated by you? Anjolique is one of the first music artists to release a 1st time single and a mobile app simultaneously. https://play.google.com/store/search?q=Anjolique Is there anything we can do on our end to provide you with more satisfactory information? I look forward to your response and I respect your decisions. Regards, Charles Rubin — Preceding unsigned comment added by Charlesrubin75 (talkcontribs) 13:33, 8 January 2015 (UTC)

  • So who are "we"? Kindly have the decency to wait until someone with no COI thinks this woman is notable and writes about her here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:34, 8 January 2015 (UTC)

The Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club

Hi, I saw that you had deleted my Draft:The Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club. I get it, I really do, and fully understand the rationale although I am stumped as to what to do next. Through the various iterations of the draft, I had pulled as many verifiable sources as i could (not easy given out of print books, newspapers articles form the 1800's etc) and felt that it was a) notable and b) cross referenced with other sources. I am also the current Vice Commodore of RHADC, elected by the members, having been both Chairman and Rear Commodore and will be the next Commodore. Effectively, I "own", with my colleagues all of the content on the Club website which as you correctly pointed out, I plagiarized for the Wikipedia entry.

A prior reviewer had me source references which I did, and another had me re-write the content. I can re-write again, but it seems daft to do that - it would still be the same content - from the same source and ultimately pulled from hard copy resources in the Clubhouse. I invite you to Bermuda to come and look at the documents! Not sure what else to do here. Any advice, gratefully received. Best wishes, Neil Redburn NeilRedburn (talk) 23:44, 8 January 2015 (UTC)

  • You admitted back in August that there are no reliable sources. So why do you persist in trying to force an article in? What to do next? The answer is simple: do nothing. Simply wait until a) the club becomes notable and b) someone with no COI writes about it here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 00:12, 9 January 2015 (UTC)

Czech out these movies

Hi Haworth, could you explain me, why did you delete this page: an ambiguous report about the end of the world. I am owner of the text and I do everythink what is necessary. I put to the talk section OTRS mark, I wrote that I send mail at Wikipedia and inform about it to the page discussion. So I really don't understand why did you do it. Thank you for answer. • Please learn to create wikilinks. The copyvio situation could be fixed but what is the point of restoring these pages if they are going to be deleted anyway for lack of notability? If you can provide sound independent references, resubmit via AfC. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:59, 9 January 2015 (UTC)

I don't understand, why the articles does not have a lack of notability. Both film are filmed by international known director (Felliny of the East). An ambiguous report about the end of the world was screened at more than 60 international film festivals and won prestigous awards (Montreal, San Diego, Taos ect.). Of course I wanted to continue in editing articles. Unfortunately they were deleted after couple of hours. I am a little bit surprise by these behavior. I thought wikipedia is encyclopedia and not VIP club :) What do you think by "provide sound independent references" ? I am new at wiki so I dont understand what do you mean. — Yarrrick (talk) 16:05, 9 January 2015 (UTC)

River Darent I am trying to make this entry as accurate as possible. In providing what I believe to be the correct derivation of the name I used a reference to an Irish (Gaeilge) published by M.H.Gill in 1959 in Dublin. It was not my intention to produce a new and original article on the subject. During the work which is ongoing, and unless you continue to interfere, WILL be on-going I inadvertantly made the phrase (M.H.Gill) into a wikilink. After saving and SEEING it in blue I decided to check, discovered there was no link, but was invited by the code to produce one. because I am far too busy to be chasing butterflies I entered a couple of salient facts about M.H.Gill with the intention of returning to do the the job properly at a future date.

While I may be a little unconventional in my methodology, it is my main intent in life to ensure the truth is always told, most particularly on the internet, and irrespective of how I arrive at a result I have no problem in having a mentor, who will pick up the flotsam, or 'pull me up' and suggest a better way of doing things.

In the case of the River Darent, some previous subscriber had given a wrong explanation of the origin of the name. (I must now confess that my native language is Irish, English being acquired later.) Having researched the possibilities using an actual copy of Bartholomews Gazetteer (1951)i realise that the previous contributor had used the internet as a primary source and in particular had used an internet published appendix of the 1901 Gazetteer to arrive at an erroneous conclusion: a. that Darent and Darenth are the same word which they patently are NOT and b. obviously did not not check the primary source for the entries "Darent" and/or Darenth. This is the same sloppy research which has the Irish greet each other (and strangers) with "May the road rise to meet you".

And if that sounds like a grumpy old man, it's because I am ...

However, I would love to here from you via southockendon@yahoo.com or even same@gmail
