ONE is a free-to-air Australian television channel, set to commence broadcast on March 26, 2009 at 7:00pm in Melbourne due to live coverage of the AFL. Other capital cities have a start time of 7.30pm for their time zone. [2] Once it launches, the channel, which will be owned by Network Ten, will feature 24/7 sport content including live sport and sports documentaries.[3]
Upon its launch, ONE will broadcast in high definition on Digital Channel 1, Channel 11 and standard definition on Digital Channel 12 .[4] One SD began broadcasting February 11 under the banner of TenSD2 simulcasting content from 10HD. Southern Cross Ten has announced they will start broadcasting ONE mid year.
