KTBU-TV (known on-air as Houston's 55) is located in the Greater Houston area, broadcasting on one of two channels assigned to Conroe, Texas (the other being KPXB).

KTBU signed on in 1998, and originally was owned by the Osteen Family of Lakewood Church. The station now is owned by the Houston-based USFR Media Group.

KTBU-TV airs an eclectic line-up of classic and syndicated television series as well as locally produced shows focusing on sports, history and other topics of interest to Houstonians. USFR Media Group also provides production and other broadcast services to Channel 55 as well as third parties at its 30,000 square foot, state-of-the-art broadcast facility in Houston.
