Before becoming a film actor he acted in the stage drama named Nadir Shah Durrani in 1955.He begin his film career as a junior actor in 1959. In 1975 he became an action hero for the lovers of Punjabi films. The year 1979, changed his whole life as his film Maula Jutt became the biggest hit Pakistan had ever seen. It broke all records and did astonishing for the Pakistani Film Industry.
