The LG Watch Sport is a Smartwatch released by LG Corporation in a partnership with Google on Feb 09, 2017[2]. The device, along with the LG Watch Style, is one of the first smartwatches to ship with Android Wear version 2.0 and Android Pay support[2]. The device is notable for its inclusion of Google Assistant and LTE. Initially, devices were announced for both AT&T and Verizon in the US along with an international version, but the Verizon variant was canceled and pre-orders refunded after delays and the release of Verizon's own Wear24 watch[3].
On October 2nd, 2017, Google announced the Android Wear Oreo Beta for the LG Watch Sport. Google described the release on their developer blog as "mainly a technical upgrade to API 26."[4]
The Google Store ceased sales of the LG Watch Sport along with other Android Wear devices on October 5th, 2017[5]. The device remained available through retail stores and AT&T.
