The 2024 Republican National Convention is an event in which delegates of the United States Republican Party will select the party's nominees for president and vice president in the 2024 United States presidential election.
Site selection
Potential sites
Officials in Columbus, Ohio have discussed potentially becoming the site of either the Democratic or Republican convention in 2024.[1]
Georgia Republicans have discussed their state hosting the convention.[2]
Tom Barrett, the mayor of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, has expressed an openness to the possibility of the city hosting either a Democratic or Republican convention in 2024.[3]
Carolyn Goodman, the mayor of Las Vegas, Nevada, has expressed an openness to the possibility of the city hosting a Republican convention in 2024.[4] Milwaukee has submitted a bid for the convention.[5]
Kansas City, Missouri officials met with RNC officials in Washington D.C. in October 2021 to discuss hosting the event. The Kansas City mayor's office confirmed on October 25, 2021 that RNC had approached the city and that the city was planning a bid for the event.[6]
The Utah Republican Party has expressed its interest in hosting the convention in Salt Lake City.[7]
