Pre-season and friendlies

Arsenal announced they would travel to the United States to compete in the FC Series as part of their preparations during pre-season with matches against Orlando City and Chelsea.[54] A further US tour friendly was confirmed against Everton in The Charm City Match.[55] La Liga side Sevilla revealed their participation in the 2022 Emirates Cup on 18 May 2022.[56] Later in the month, Arsenal announced that they would be travelling to Germany to face 1. FC Nürnberg in addition to their currently scheduled pre-season friendly matches.[57] On 2 July 2022, Arsenal announced that they had hosted League One side Ipswich Town at London Colney in a behind closed doors friendly.[58]
