Season chronology

Bigg Boss 6 is reality show is the sixth season of the Telugu version of the Indian reality television series Bigg Boss based on the Dutch series Big Brother and produced by Endemol Shine India (now merged with Banijay). The show was launched on 4 September 2022 on Star Maa along with a 24x7 Live stream on Disney+ Hotstar with Nagarjuna as a host for the fourth consecutive year.

Unlike the previous seasons, this season features the general public along with the celebrities as housemates. Rohit and Marina became the second couple to enter the show after Varun Sandesh and Vithika Sheru in season 3, but unlike Varun and Vithika who played as individuals, Marina and Rohit played as a duo, meaning when they would be nominated they would be nominated together, and if evicted they would both be evicted. But from week 5 onwards they played as individuals.

Production

Auditions

On 26 May 2022, the makers of the show released a promo where Nagarjuna announced that commonere can participate in season 6. The auditions were done by the starmaa.startv.com website.

Teaser

The show organizers officially released a teaser using the show's logo on 4 August 2022. On 9 August 2022, a new teaser released with Nagarjuna as a host and promo shoot directed by Prasanth Varma. On 19 August 2022, it was confirmed that the show would premiere on 4 September 2022 on Star Maa and Disney+ Hotstar.

Eye Logo

The eye of Bigg Boss is shaped in a colourful way and the makers also mentioned in the teaser that Bigg Boss Season 6 is more captivating for audiences across all age groups. The color palette used for the fluid lines comes together to create an intense emotional experience once the show begins. This time, the Bigg Boss eye is alluring enough to amplify the audience's anticipation.

24x7 streaming

The show stands out for the fact that it will stream 24x7 live on Disney+ Hotstar and an hour-long episode every day on Star Maa. The episodes will be first telecasted through a 24-hour live channel on a paid subscription to Disney+ Hotstar, from Monday to Friday.

Geetu was chosen to go to the Class, and Aditya decided to go to the Trash. 2nd the task, Neha and Revanth were selected to play a slider game, in which water was to be filled into a jar from another jar, with the players sliding a glass of water on a table from the first jar and pouring it into the second jar if it crosses the line on the table. Later, Revanth won the game and leveled up to Class. 3rd task Inaya and Neha were chosen for the Dice task, where players from Mass and Trash had to roll themselves in a net box to the center of the ground. Neha won the game and leveled up to Class, while Inaya remained in Trash. Aditya, Abhinaya, and Inaya are now directly nominated, and Adi, Geetu, and Neha saved from nomination.
	Jail	Day 5: Adi, Chanti, Geetu, Inaya, Neha, Raj, and Revanth received least performing candidates votes, later Geetu Royal received highest votes for least performing candidates of the week, and were sent to jail.
	Captaincy Task	Day 5: Adi, Aditya, Geetu, Neha, Marina & Rohit, and Surya were the contenders for the captaincy task. As part of this task, all those who wished to contend for the role had to fish out keys from the water in the tub. After procuring the keys, they had to unlock a box and look at the number in the box. Based on this number, which they have to remember, they have to arrange the number plate of the cars allotted to each person participating in the game. Later Bala Aditya won the task and became the House Captain of Week 2.

	Luxury Budget Task	Day 9-10: The first task given to the housemates was the baby task, where each contestant was given a toy baby and asked to take care of it as if it were a real one. Contestants were also told to put the babies of other players in the lost and found section if someone was not taking good care of a baby. Some prams were stationed outside the house, where babies were to be put at the sound of the buzzer. The second task for the day was the sack task, in which those who wished to participate had to get into and run a few feet. Players also had to fill up boards assigned to them with the shapes on the boards, with the shapes provided to them at the start line. Chanti won the task and became eligible for the captaincy task. On the other hand, Geetu put three babies in the lost and found section, which included the babies of Revanth, Abhinaya, and Sri. This meant that these three players were no longer eligible to be part of the captaincy task. Later Chanti, Inaya, Raj, and Surya won the task and became the captaincy contenders.
	Jail	Day 13: Sri, and Vasanthi received least performing candidates votes, later Sri Satya received highest votes for least performing candidates of the week, and were sent to jail.

In the task, each of them has to play a DJ, and they have to impress the housemates with their proposals as to what they would do if they became the next captain. 	Luxury Budget Task	Day 16-17: Forest task, where the members of the house have been divided into two teams police and thieves. As part of the task, the police should prevent the thieves from picking up valuable items put up in the exterior of the Bigg Boss house. Things with a red band around them are valuable, with the others are not. According to the rules of the game, if any thief is found in the forest after their signal, can be put in jail. Geetu, on the other hand, is a businesswoman, to whom the thieves can sell the toys they found, and they should come to an agreement with her, regarding how much they’d be paid. In the end, whichever team has the most number of toys, wins. Later police team won the task. In the first level, contenders have to creates the bricks pyramid will be the winner and other side housemates can break the pyramid with throwing the ball in the pyramid. Geetu and Faima disqualified by the game. In the second level, Adi, Shrihan and Sri need to win this round with their efforts and contenders need to fill sand in their container and have to make the flag come up to win the captaincy. Later Adi Reddy won the task and became the House Captain of Week 4.

	Luxury Budget Task	Day 23-24: BB Hotel task, where the housemates have been divided into three groups, with one group being a part of BB Hotel, second group being a part of Hotel Glam Paradise, and the third group being customers from varied backgrounds. Sudeepa was made the manager of BB Hotel, which has Aditya, Chanti, Marina as its members, while Revanth and Geetu have been made the servers of the hotel. Hotel Glam Paradise has Faima as its manager, while Arohi, Keerthi, Sri, and Vasanthi as its members the other members. Adi, Arjun, Inaya, Raj, Rohit, Shrihan, Rohit, and Surya are the customers. Whichever group ends up winning the most money, in the end, turns out to be the winner of the task. The task of the hotel members is to get the customers to their hotel, and by preventing them from going to the other hotel, by giving the customers the best possible deals. Chanti’s secret task is to send the customers away from BB Hotel, to Hotel Glam Paradise. Later Hotel Glam Paradise being in the lead, they remove Aditya and Revanth from BB Hotel. On the other hand Chanti failed the secret task.
	Jail	Day 26: Arjun, Chanti, Faima, Inaya, Geetu, Keerthi, and Raj received least performing candidates votes, later Arjun Kalyan received highest votes for least performing candidates of the week, and were sent to jail.
	Captaincy Task	Day 25-26: Arjun, Arohi, Faima, Geetu, Keerthi, Rohit, Raj, Shrihan, Sri, Sudeepa, and Vasanthi were the contenders for the captaincy task. In the first level, Bigg Boss giving the other members the opportunity to box the person they seem unfit to be the captain. Housemates have to run to a boxing glove that was put in the lawn, as part of this task, and whoever manages to get the glove first, will get the opportunity to box out one contestant. Arjun, Arohi, Faima, Geetu, Rohit, Raj, Shrihan, and Vasanthi were out of the task. In the second level Keerthi, Sri, and Sudeepa were given the task to fill a stand with Captain letters, in the garden area, which they had to do so, by running from one end where the letters were to the other end where they had to hang the letters, on blocks. They couldn’t run or walk on the round and half to walk only using these blocks, by not putting their feet on the ground. Later Keerthi Bhat won the task and became the House Captain of Week 5.

	Luxury Budget Task	Day 30-31: Happy Birthday Bigg Boss, as a part of birthday celebration, the housemates have to impress Bigg Boss with their talents. A part of this everyone have to perform. Whoever received point, they a special cake. Arjun, Geetu, Keerthi and Revanth performed songs. Shrihan, Sri, and Sudeepa performed dance. Arjun, Faima, Keerthi and Raj performed drama.

	Captaincy Task	Day 32-33: Aditya, Faima, Geetu, Raj, Revanth and Surya were the contenders selected by current captain Keerthi Bhat. In the first level, Adi, contenders need to cut the log with axe and have to make the sand bag come down. Faima, Geetu and Raj on the game. In the second level, war of garlands, housemates to put the garlands on contenders, who they support. Later L. V. Revanth recived more garlands and became the house captain of Week 6.

But for every surprise the battery level decrease. Bigg Boss also warned, if anyone breaks the house rules, the charge will also reduce. Shrihan choose food from home which reduce 15%. Sudeepa choose audio call with husband which reduce 30%. Revanth violate house rules, sleeping in day which reduce 5% and Geetu also violate house rules, not wearing mic properly which reduce 5%. Adi choose video call with wife and daughter which reduce 40%. Aditya quits smoking to increase battery to 90%. Geetu choose audio call with her father which reduce 15%. Arjun choose video message with his father which reduce 35%. Revanth violate house rules, sleeping in day which reduce 5%. Inaya choose photo frame of her father which reduce 25%. Faima performed a task along with housemates which made the battery to go to 85%. Sri choose video call with her parents which reduce 35%. Aditya choose audio call with wife and daughter which reduce 50%. Rohit got self-nominated for two weeks to reset battery to 100%. Revanth choose photo frame from home which reduce 10%. 	Captaincy Task	Day 39-40: Ball Catch, all housemates have to pick the ball and put it on basket. Adi, Arjun, Raj, Revanth, Sri, Surya, and Vasanthi picked the ball fastest. Faima and Keerthi failed because of Aditya and Sudeepa helped Rohit. Later Adi, Arjun, Raj, Revanth, Rohit, Sri, Surya, and Vasanthi were the contenders for the captaincy task. As part of this captaincy task, contenders who went to the contenders door zone after taking the flower vases of other contenders, the person who has with them is out of game. And the person who came last with other contender vase need to impress the housemates with their proposals as to what they would do if they became the next captain. Later Surya Narayana won the task and became the House Captain of Week 7.

And they pairs also need to find the golden fish in the pool got the chance to choose the rest of the pairs to compete with them in the task. Later Geetu swap the black fishes one pair. 	Captaincy Task	Day 53-54: Faima, Keerthi, Revanth, Shrihan, Sri, and Surya were the contenders for the captaincy task. In the first level, contenders need to untangle the rope, later Keerthi, Shrihan and Surya won the task became and selected for next level. Faima, Revantha, and Sri disqualified by the game. In the second level Keerthi, Shrihan and Surya need to wear C-shaped cushion and other hand housemates have to stab with knife C-shaped cushion to elimiate. Later Shrihan Shri received less stabs and became the House Captain of Week 9.

	Luxury Budget Task	Day 58-61: Mission Impossible, the housemates were divided into two teams Red and Blue squads. Both the squad had to compete and kill as many opponents as they could in the task. The surviving members in the winning squad would become the captaincy contenders. The contenders can kill opponents in two ways. They could remove four life stripes from their opponent's t-shirt. Both the teams had to compete to grab the grenade upon the first airdrop. Upon second airdrop, the squad with the grenade had the power to decide the players of the given mission. They could revive the 'killed' players as well. Team Red: Faima, Geetu, Keerthi, Revanth, Sri, Shrihan Team Blue: Adi, Aditya, Inaya, Marina, Raj, Rohit, Vasanthi During the task Keerthi and Revanth got injured.

The contenders had to burst the balloons of their opponents while safeguarding their own balloons. The one to survive in the game would become the winner of the task, later Sri Satya won the task and became the House Captain of Week 10.

	Luxury Budget Task	Day 65-66: Snake and Ladder, all housemates were divided into two groups. While one team had to build snakes with the given mud sent timely, another team had to build ladders. Every time there was a hissing sound, the Leader of Team Snakes would choose a member from their team to attack on a member from Team Ladder, remove mud as much as possible and add it to their team. Likewise, every time there was a hiss sound, Team Ladders' Leader would choose a member to attack on a member from Team Snakes and grab their mud. The contestant with the shorter snake or ladder would be eliminated from the race after every round. Next task, both the teams must save their respective Nagamani during the task. 	Jail	Day 68: Inaya, Keerthi, Rohit, Revanth, Sri, and Vasanthi received least performing candidates votes, later Inaya Sulthana received highest votes for least performing candidates of the week, and were sent to jail.
	Captaincy Task	Day 67-68: Adi, Faima, Keerthi, Marina, Rohit and Sri were the contenders for the captaincy task. The contenders must walk in a circle within its boundaries carrying their respective sacks of thermocol balls. They must destroy their opponents' sacks while safeguarding their own sacks. Adi, Keerthi, Marina, Rohit, and Sri out of the task and Faima Sheikh won the task and became the House Captain of Week 11.

But there will be a price to board the vehicle at each stop, which will be deducted from the winning price money. Beside this, if the rest of the house member who could not board the truck name two of them who are unfit for the captaincy.

The contenders have to stand around the round and receive a ball in the middle when the buzzer sound hear, they have to pick the ball and save until the next buzzer. Whoever has the ball in their hands can out one of the contender. Later Inaya Sulthana won the task and became the House Captain of Week 13.

	Luxury Budget Task	Day 86-89: Ticket to finale, housemates should compete in various challenges to earn points from each round. The housemate who has the most points at the end of the week will automatically become the first finalist. Task #1: the contestants have to collect the parts from the store room and garden area of a snowman pieces that are throw and they have to make their own snowman. Whoever got least pieces to make snowman, they to have remove from the tas. Later Sri, Inaya, and Keerthi were removed from the ticket to finale task. Later bigg boss another chance to Sri, Inaya, and Keerthi to ticket to finale task. They had to put colour each other’s white shirt backs with paint staying inside a ring. Later Keerthi won and back the ticket to finale task. Task #2: The contenders had to attach a ball to their ankles, crawl through the hurdles and reach the pits. They had to pick their respective flags from the pits, cross the wall hurdle, find their pole from the pit.They had to attach their respective flags to their poles, walk on the plants, reach near their respective baskets, throw the ball into their baskets and deposit their flags on the podium. The position of the podium where the contestants posted their flag decided their prospects in the race to the ticket to finale. Later they flag Revanth, Adi, Faima, Shrihan, Keerthi, and Rohit. Task #3: The contenders had to hold their balancing logs with a hand. They had to balance the log with weights. They got disqualified if their weights were dropped. Later Adi won the task. Task #4: The contenders had to pick a block each, roll over to the destination and build a tower with the blocks. Srihan and Inaya, the sanchalaks of the task, gave points based on the height of the towers. Later Shrihan Shri was the lead scorer, and became the 1st Finalist.

• ^Note 15 : Adi Reddy, Bala Aditya, Chalaki Chanti and Inaya Sulthana received zero tips from Host Nagarjuna. Later Chalaki Chanti and Inaya Sulthana received equal votes for not being the captaincy contender for the whole season. Captain Keerthi Bhat chose Chalaki Chanti.
• ^Note 16 : From week 5 onwards Marina Abraham and Rohit Sahni were split and played as two individual housemates.
• ^Note 17 : Bigg Boss paired up the housemates except house captain Keerthi Bhat and asked them to mutually decide to nominate one and save one.
• ^Note 18 : As a part of the week 6 Battery Recharge task, Rohit nominated himself for two weeks, week 7 and week 8, to recharge 100% battery.

• ^Note 23 : Bigg Boss gave immunity task to week 11 nominated contestants, whoever wrote unique huge amount of prize money will save from this week eviction process. Later Raj Shekar wrote the unique amount and won the immunity.
• ^Note 24 : Bigg Boss gave one of the Eviction free pass which allows the housemate to safe themselves if they ever got evicted. Later Faima Sheik picked the huge amount and won Eviction free pass.
• ^Note 25 : Week 12, Bigg Boss announced this week nomination process in Confession Room, Later all housemates except Keerthi Bhat and Captain L. V. Revanth is safe from eviction.
• ^Note 26 : Faima Sheik use her Eviction free pass and save from Eviction.
• ^Note 27 : Ticket to finale task #1 Sri Satya, Inaya Sultana and Keerthi Bhat disqualified from the task, later bigg boss gave another chance to them and Keerthi Bhat won back to the ticket to finale task.
