The Northern Marianas Islands national football team is an international team from the Northern Mariana Islands. However it is not a member of FIFA, and is just an associate member of the OFC, and is therefore not eligible to enter either the World Cup or OFC Nations Cup. They participated as a guest team in the U-14 East Asian Football Federation Youth Festival in July 2006 in Beijing. The results - DPR Korea 0-6, Korea 0-16, China 0-11, Mongolia 0-5, Japan 0-12, Guam 0-6 and 0-12, Taiwan 0-13. In December 2006, the EAFF admitted the Northern Mariana Islands as a provisional member.
The first team mainly competes in the East Asian Football Association and annual Marianas Cup versus Guam.
Recently, they participated as a provisional member in the East Asian Cup 2008 Preliminary Competition Play-offs, but lost both matches to Guam.
