Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Michael Kelso, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. This is especially important when dealing with biographies of living people, but applies to all Wikipedia articles. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are already familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your original reference to the article. Thank you. Tiptoety (talk) 22:03, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, simply place <ref>YOUR CITATION HERER</ref> next to the text you are wanting to source! Cheers! Tiptoety (talk) 14:56, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pulp Fiction

Read Gay pulp fiction. The connection is twofold. First, the film's namesake is a reference to pulp magazines, otherwise known as "pulp fiction". Secondly, gay pulp fiction is a version of pulp magazines that focus on homesexuality. The rapists, Maynard and Zed, are homosexual men, and likely readers of gay pulp fiction. You have to appreciate the mutiple levels of interpretation to make the connection. Ward3001 (talk) 23:45, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think you're being dumb. It's quite appropriate to raise a question on the talk page to get other opinions. That's how Wikipedia sorts out opinions and reaches consensus. I think you might get an explanation from the original contributor, which may be better than mine. Ward3001 (talk) 15:59, 1 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

peer review

I was wondering if you could take some time out of your schedule to head over to the Heroes (TV series) talkpage and give us an honest peer review. The page has gone through some major changes in the last few months, and it would be fantastic if a prominent editor/contributor like yourself, could head over and give us at the Heroes Wikiproject some sound opinion and ideas on improvements for the page. We have all worked very hard at improving the page, and we need great outside, reliable and trustworthy users to come over and help us improve. I you are interested in joining the peer review discussion with other prominent users/contributors, much like yourself, please follow the link. Thank you very much for your help and your continued effort to improve Wikipedia and its quality! Eclipse of sun by the earth

Howdy!! There seems to be some confusion about the eclipse in the beginning of the Heroes titled card. If you have the season 1 dvd, you can review the title card several times, and you will noticed that the earth is covering the sun, not the moon. Please do not add POV or OR to the heroes articles. If you do not own the season 1 dvd, you may go yo your local video store and rent them. But yes, it is the sun and the earth, not the moon.--Chrisisinchrist (talk) 18:25, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Eon

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_Omnitrix_aliens&diff=188568230&oldid=188550193

Actually Eon did say something to that effect. He didn't spell it out that Ben couldn't use the form, but he said "those powers still belong to me", or something close to that.--Marhawkman (talk) 10:30, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've seen it... three times. And yes it is quite clear that he is talking about the Eon powers.--Marhawkman (talk) 23:14, 2 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Enjoy. :) Mind if I change it back?--Marhawkman (talk) 22:36, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
What was your definition of that? My interpretation is that vague references to a specific source are permissable.--Marhawkman (talk) 23:28, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Enh, Reminders are nice. :) --Marhawkman (talk) 23:02, 11 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Red Dwarf peer review

Hi there. The Red Dwarf article has just been requested for a Peer Review. As an interested editor of the article I was wondering if you would like to join in on the discussions. As you will be aware, the article has gone through some major changes in the last few months, and it would be fantastic if a prominent editor/contributor like yourself, could head over and give some sound opinion and ideas on improvements for the page. If you are interested in joining the peer review discussion with other prominent users/contributors, much like yourself, please follow the link. Use of automatic reversion tools

Please be careful what you mark as vandalism with tools that produce an automatic edit summary. This [1] was not a revert of vandalism and marking it as such only results in ill will. Reversions of good faith edits should always have a fully explanatory edit summary. Thanks. CIreland (talk) 22:01, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tables in columns

Demonstrating a; How you put two tables side by side and b; what your idea for the Neighbours cast list would look like, I've done this in my sandbox. If you look at the code you'll see it's basically a table (without the 'class' option set to any styles so it's basically invisible) with two cells. Inside each sell is half of the table. Hope this makes sense and is useful to you. ~~ Peteb16 (talk) 20:27, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Content blanking

Please do not delete content from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to List of Omnitrix aliens, without explaining the reason for the removal in the edit summary. Unexplained removal of content does not appear constructive, and your edit has been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox for test edits. Thank you. Alien Force Annoyance

the people editing the Alien Force aliens and adding powers they think would be cool... is getting very annoyingJeremy8419 (talk) 20:29, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

i really liked when someone put up a full list of ALL the new aliens powers. like they would even know that. i also hope swampfires powers arnt so lame as that one guy suggested. "shoots fireballs and controls plants"? if a 12yr old on wiki could think of it, i doubt the producers would do that. i personally hope swampfire can swim (no water vuln like heatblast) and shoots out petroleum-like substance that works like napalm. maybe i should edit that into the wiki, since opinions are apparently sourced facts, hur hur. Jeremy8419 (talk) 22:43, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

well, we were wrong. the commercials have been coming on from 3-6ish EST. I video taped it today, but am trying to figure out how to get the video (vhs) online to use as a source. The ones about swampfire and echo echo were right (as lame as they are). Jeremy8419 (talk) 20:57, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

im semi-noob at wiki, can you give me a link to what you spoke of please? Jeremy8419 (talk) 21:06, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

i updated it. look good? Jeremy8419 (talk) 23:55, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image linking

Hi.

My head is still buzzing about that "it's probably better to link to Media namespace than the Commons" discussion on the Help Desk. Frankly I don't quite know what the Media namespace is about, except that audio files are there. (I'll have to look into that.)

Can you tell me what's your take on that discussion's bottom line? I've got a whole bunch of images that I (and a friend working on another article) may like to link to.

I think people link to outside images to skirt the copyright rules, figuring that no bots will find them out.

Best,

--Shlishke (talk) 00:40, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You removed an edit by an anon IP (multiple-user with a history of vandalism), with edit summary: "Don't know why that was taken out. Use an edit summary next time". I have re-inserted it. Just to let you know, I'm not the person who changed it originally. The first time I saw the change, I thought it was an improvement. I did create a summary explaining why. Just trying to help a newbie, but with his talk page full of warnings, I don't think it would be useful to comment on his page. Hope you approve. --A Knight Who Says Ni (talk) 22:10, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Just wanted to let you know that I had to decline the WP:CSD#A7 on this article, as films cannot be speedily deleted for notability concerns, I have written to ask User:Corvus cornix if he minds my bundling it into Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tajudeen bioku. If he does, or if that AfD picks up momentum before I'm able, I will very likely be nominating it independently. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 19:23, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Francis grave, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Francis grave is a test page.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Francis grave, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. A7

Hi. :) Just wanted to further clarify WP:CSD#A7. I came upon Mengil Manhide's Manflayers, an article you tagged, this evening. I did delete the article, but only because it was a copyright violation of this url. A7 can be used to speedily delete articles about real people (individually or grouped, as in companies or bands) or web content if the articles do not assert importance. It can't be used on the products, such as films, albums or books. This particular article was not an A7 candidate as it refers to a fictional group of people. Ordinarily, these might be addressed through WP:PROD or WP:AfD, unless they meet one of the other criteria. In this case, the sudden introduction of a large chunk of text suggested to me a phrase check on google might be worthwhile. This is quite often an indicator that the material has been copied and pasted from another source. Thanks. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 01:45, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

LOTSW and FOTSW production numbers

Hey I need some help and I'm not quite sure where to look for it. Since you seem to have quite a bit of information on the episodes, I was hoping you would know. As I'm reformatting the episode list for LOTSW, I'm trying to include production numbers for the episodes, mainly using TV.com as a source. However, they don't have production numbers listed for series 11 onwards, the pilot, or any FOTSW episodes. I was hoping maybe you would know where I could go to find this information to make the lists complete. Cheers! Redfarmer (talk) 17:39, 5 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mordechai Suchard

I removed the speedy tag from Mordechai Suchard. Although it is a short article, it is possibly expandable. If not, it at the very least asserted that it was notable, which is all it has to do to not be speedy deleted. It needs sourcing and expansion of course, and I wouldn't have a problem with adding it to AFD to get a community based consensus. Let me know if you need help setting up an AFD, or see this link. Christopher Hughes

Isn't the point of Wikipedia meant to be putting information on the pages rather than taking it off. Looking back over the pages I can see that Christopher Hughes' page has been vandalised occasionally and there is some of unsourced information on it but I know that the vast majority of what was written is true (including some of the more far fetched entries!) having both worked for the BBC and religiously watched Eggheads and his appearances on Mastermind and The Weakest Link.

It seems ludicrous that one over officious, censorious individual R Ferreira can just decide to make Hughes' page virtually empty and useless to fans trying to find a bit more about the man by claiming that he knows better than everyone else. Not only has he ruled out all unsourced information but deigned to judge that a Mastermind fanpage (which IS accurate to the best of my knowledge) is not allowed to be sourced on his say so. Do I have to link to ten youtube clips of Hughes losing at sport on Eggheads to be allowed to say that it is one of his weaker topics or find 15 clips of him giving more information than is necessary to prove that he does this? It seems rather unnecessary when anyone who watches the show (probably unlike RFerreira) knows this to be the case and could challenge it if they felt it wasn't accurate!

Hughes is a minor television personality at best so there is little chance of him showing up on major websites! What is the point of including minor celebrities at all on wikipedia if absolutely everything not only has to be sourced but sourced from websites approved by RFerreira? Isn't the whole point of having user editing, that users take down entries they know to be inaccurate and sourcing things whilst being important is only crucial in a dispute?

Can you get assist in the Christopher Hughes page back to it's former glories? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.9.23.123 (talk) 17:38, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That is interesting how the United Kingdom is an english speaking area but it has several different spellings. Theatre instead of theater. Colour instead of color. It's awesome. By the way amuck is still correct right? --Anfish (talk) 16:01, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I guess your right. You know I think it is a little more proper to spell things the way the UK spells it. I consider it sort of classy. USA english is just the easy way aroungd things. Yet everyone in the USA uses it anyway. I think it would be a whole lot proper for all english speakers to do it the united kingdom way. UK rocks!!! SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.

If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.

P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot (talk) 17:43, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, regarding your request for protection on this page. The show featuring the Nissan R35 GT-R was aired yesterday (July 17 2008) was it not? --¤ The-G-Unit-฿oss ¤ 17:32, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sure it was on, they raced across Tokyo. Jeremy in the Nissan and Hammond & May on public transport. --¤ The-G-Unit-฿oss ¤ 18:46, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I've semi protected it for 1 week. After that it will automatically un-protect. --¤ The-G-Unit-฿oss ¤ 18:54, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry about that. I think my browser was playing up because thats the second article which didn't actually protect. Another admin has taken care of it I see. --¤ The-G-Unit-฿oss ¤ 22:01, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, I see. Thank you! - Cyrenaic (talk) 16:44, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fitlinxx

You deleted my Fitlinxx article. In no way did I intend to make it a commercial article. How can I write a article like this without it sounding commercial-like? Marshall T. Williams (talk) 23:51, 8 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oriental Ruthlezz Boyz

You're correct -- the original was protected after it was repeatedly recreated after deletion. The alternate titles are now also protected. Thanks, NawlinWiki (talk) 20:20, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Could you help please over Carmella Cammeniti?

Hey I was just wondering if you could help me with something. I spent time gathering references and making a article credible. It's the article titled Carmella Cammeniti and a user that does not have an acount on here keeps reverting it. This user keeps doing this because they have mainly made edits to it, and it basically is just an article reiterating the fictional character's plot in the soap opera. I keep reverting it back, but it is no use and I'm not sure what I should do, I noticed that you have warned the user over this page before. Thankyou if you can help. Hi

Sorry I haven't been responding- I can't get online every day. Anyway, could you give me step by step instructions on how to insert images? Thanks. Marshall T. Williams (talk) 22:56, 20 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Pink Floyd Article

i know its not such a big deal, but if you look in the article for crosby, stills, nash and young, there are links for the members under the pic and in the info box. I figure there should be some consistency throughout wikipedia.--Curlymeatball38 (talk) 04:00, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My speedy nomination of Dasi Township Junior High School

Not at all! I'd nominated it because it was nothing but a link, but I'll save my passion for things that matter.  :) Movingboxes (talk) 08:07, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

D'oh! I read your original message too quickly and thought you'd written you'd removed the speedy tag altogether. *facepalm* Thanks for explaining. Movingboxes (talk) 08:21, 22 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
