Welcome!

I haven't reviewed it in detail (and may not) but I was glad to see your work on FFriess from the Times article. I've made a few minor adjustments to your citation there. One, I'd recorded the headline (from the front Times webpage) differently than you had it; and yours didn't strike me maybe as an exact rendition, the comma, the lower case "a"; so I shifted to mine. If I was wrong or if yours was also right and you prefer it, change it back or ask me and I will. The other changes I expect you'll agree with, are real minor. You probably didn't even notice, but I'd put the article in the Ext. links at the bottom of the article earlier (not ready to do the work you did at that moment). I've now removed it there because it's (now well-)represented in the references. Something to watch for if you think of it in the future.

And, welcome! You're relatively new; and I have to note, "red-lettered". Some choose to stay that way, but it's easy to click on the red and create however elaborate or simple a user page as you wish. I think it looks better. Prob. works within Wiki a little more smoothly. This page may cover it more thoroughly for you, if you wish.

All best.

Well, betraying my ways: You may be curious (as I couldn't wait) to learn that the page had almost 15,000 hits on the 9th. One of my other minor edits was to add accessdate to your footnote; to do so I had to assume you were in the Western Hemisphere working in the evening (or something like that); the "standard clock" for Wiki is called UTC, which I date myself by calling (correctly I think) "like Greenwich Mean"; ... so your edit was booked at 3 a.m. UTC but late evening EST eg (five hours behind, I think now). ... Here's the page activity page. Get to it via View history tab up top of any page; then via Page view statistics up top of history page. ... If I was wrong on your access date, you or I can change it to the 10th. (I don't think Wiki expects one to ... adjust to ... UTC for dating; then there'd be "skews" ...; or I just couldn't keep it straight in my head.) ... It's sufficiently contorted, I forgot to make my point: namely, your edit was booked on the 10th regardless of your local time when you made it; and hence had no direct impact on the 15,000 who accessed the page the 9th, most of them probably due to the Times article. (There was a smaller spike the 8th, maybe 7T; but this was definitely post-primary. And the Times article was prob. available on-line for a part of the 8th. Of course, I don't know all the (other possible) news reports that could have contributed to the W/Th spike.) ... Prolix! (Helps keep me in my place.) (In various possible senses ... of the phrase.) Well, reply here or at my "talk" if you wish. Cheers. Swliv (talk) 20:03, 10 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries, style changes

Hello. You performed some extensive copyediting on Dyslexia but did not complete an edit summary. Please always do that so other editors can understand what you were intending.

In this case you changed some en-dashes to em-dashes. The Manual of Style (MOS) says that we should not change the existing style of an article without a substantial reason (for example "the way I prefer" is not a substantial reason for changing an existing style) and in any case we should not make such changes inconsistently. Since "(nbsp)(en-dash)(space)" is clearly a deliberate style choice as distinct from something like "(space)(minus)(space)" which does not conform to MOS there was no justification for those changes in this case. I will restore the previous style. --Mirokado (talk) 12:59, 10 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi- in this edit and this edit, you added a lot of nbsp tags when they weren't needed. No edit summary was used. Why have you done this? tedder (talk) 16:24, 10 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed your recent edit to Qantas does not have an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history. Thanks! JetBlast (talk) 17:01, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Puget Sound Regional Council logo.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Puget Sound Regional Council logo.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Edit summaries

Hi. Thank you for copyediting and updating Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Please consider making an eedit summary , even somthing simple such as Copyediting & updating - I believe tjhis has been mentioned several times before. Also, the edit contained dozens of changes but you marked it as a minor edit, which of course it was not. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 01:30, 7 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File:NCHRP50thSmall.jpg missing description details

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as File:NCHRP50thSmall.jpg is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors to make better use of the image, and it will be more informative for readers.
