How you can help

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later."

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page.--PMDrive1061 (talk) 03:28, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for September 25

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Alive (Adelitas Way song), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Digital download (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Orphaned non-free media (File:Logo Hutchinson Worldwide.gif)

Thanks for uploading File:Logo Hutchinson Worldwide.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Werieth (talk) 15:51, 30 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a search with the contents of List of songs recorded by Mohammed Rafi (T), and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: List of songs recorded by Mohammed Rafi (S–T). It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article.Template:Z127 MadmanBot (talk) 18:23, 4 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Jax 0677, and thank you for your contributions!

Some text in an article that you worked on List of songs recorded by Mohammed Rafi (O), appears to be directly copied from another Wikipedia article, List of songs recorded by Mohammed Rafi (M–O). Please take a minute to double-check that you've properly attributed the source text in your edit summary.

It's entirely possible that this bot made a mistake, so please feel free to remove this notice and the tag it placed on List of songs recorded by Mohammed Rafi (O) at any time.Template:Z128 MadmanBot (talk) 01:42, 7 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Removing my tag

As the previous speedy request was 3 years ago. I ask that you refrain from removing my A7/G11 Tag please until an Admin can make a decision. Or place it in Deletion discussions Thanks TucsonDavidU.S.A. 22:46, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

While I disagree with you. I want to tell you that really appreciate the way you contest deletion rather then edit war. You are a superb editor.TucsonDavidU.S.A. 23:02, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A reference problem

Hi! Some users have been working hard on Category:Pages with broken reference names.

In your article List of Princeton University people (United States Congress, Supreme Court, Continental Congress and Constitutional Convention), you added a lot of references but didn't define it. Since then, this has been showing as an error at the bottom of the article. I know it's been a few time, but can you take a look and work out what you were trying to do? Thanks --Frze > talk 05:19, 18 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Fake, misleading interwikis

Do not re-attach the fake interwikis on 2013 Harbin smog. The purpose of interwikis are to link to identical articles on other language editions of Wikipedia. What you have done is linked completely unrelated cross-wiki articles to this page. Furthermore, Wikipedia uses Wikidata now, and manual interwiki links are now redundant. --benlisquareTCE 14:36, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Reply - I never claimed ownership, and bots have usually taken care of the interwiki links. I considered the 2013 Harbin smog a subset of Harbin, the person before undid my edit without explanation, but I will refrain until there is an article about the 2013 Harbin smog itself. --Jax 0677 (talk) 17:55, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Split article suggestion at the List of killings by law enforcement officers in the United States, 2013

I'm not really sure I understand your suggestion under October at the List of killings by law enforcement officers in the United States 2013. I see there is already an article with the title you suggest. Can this note be removed? Michellecornelison (talk) 06:51, 25 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Nevermind, I went ahead and removed it, and just placed a link to that article in the entry. And if that article gets deleted, I'll just remove the link. Michellecornelison (talk) 07:14, 25 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
