"Don't remove tags without fixing the issue"
Jax, there wasn't an issue to begin with. That's why I removed your PROD. You tagged an article for a song that reached the top two on the Billboard Global 200, was a top-five hit in the US and the lead single from the album with the biggest first-week performance this year so far in the US. It already is notable, so there's no issue to "fix". You can cite WP:NSONGS saying "chart positions alone do not make a song notable", but do try to nominate a song like that for deletion and you'll find the editors at AfD don't agree with that guideline. They see "number four in the US" and see notability. Stop drive-by tagging clearly notable articles and use your common sense. Ss112 21:23, 18 May 2022 (UTC)

Hi
Hi, you might want to read Wikipedia:Don't template the regulars, and I contested your prods as these cases do seem to be notable and maybe you should check out the relevant WikiProjects for more specific notability guidelines for judiciary matters or what have you. Dylan Scott
The information about Dylan Scott's third album was not "outdated". The album was only released on the 5th, so any chart positions won't be reflected until the new chart comes out on the chart dated for tomorrow, August 15 (in other words, it missed the cutoff for the chart dated August 8). Minor rape in Ohio
I appreciate that you took steps to remove the suspects name. However, the infobox you added was perverse in the extreme. Listing a rape victim as a "participant" in their own assault violates NPOV, BLP, and plain common sense. Please take this as a final warning that any similar edits will be met with a block. And I suspect you're getting off lightly, in that my less soft-hearted colleagues may have blocked without warning. Vanamonde (Talk) 18:07, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
I'm still considering blocking you indef, Jax 0677. You trying to justify that bizarre perversion (diff) is absolutely unacceptable and also incomprehensible, as I noted in my response (diff). You need to tread extremely lightly from this point on. There's nothing we take more seriously on the project than WP:CHILDPROTECT, so it's imperative that you keep this in mind moving forward. That is not an adequate response, simply due to the fact that the template did not link to the albums in question, so your response is invalid. Right now, the template is incomplete, as it does not fully list the albums the band have released. LuciferMorgan (talk) 14:17, 8 September 2022 (UTC)

I just draftified it as it was not suitable for publication whatsoever. I'm not quite sure where to start. Several MOS "violations" (is that the word?), subpar sourcing, and a terribly-written critical reception section (really just quotations, but you get what I mean). I get that NPP reviewers are supposed to wait a few hours before taking measures like these, but giving you time wouldn't really solve the issue at hand. Sorry —VersaceSpace 🌃 00:09, 26 September 2022 (UTC)
- Jax, I saw you reverted my move. Respectfully, I don't think you're picking up what I'm putting down. This article is (seriously) not ready for publication whatsoever. That's the kind way to put it, I think. In the second sentence you use european date-format. See MOS:CAPS, we don't follow musicians' title stylizations in prose. The 'critical reception' section you've typed up isn't even critical reception: the journalists writing these statements are not critics, they're just hyping Willow up, and the quotes are too long. The wording you use is very awkward in some places: "shall feature Yves Tumor", "broadcast 'Maybe It's My Fault'", "was released" (the album is not out yet). You used sources multiple times without combining them into one numbered reference. In several hours you have not even added an infobox, which honestly should have been present in your first edit to this article. You have over a hundred-thousand edits, so you should know better. —VersaceSpace 🌃 01:39, 26 September 2022 (UTC)

"Red link to cover"
Jax, I uploaded the cover for Strike a Nerve at the time I edited the page. It worked at the time I saved my edit because I saw it upon saving the article, so I don't know why you claimed it was a "red link" an hour later. Ss112 23:14, 2 October 2022 (UTC)

Reception sections and press releases issues
I've noticed you do this a few times now, like here for example and it's an issue. You should not be using a bands/record labels own press release in a "critical reception" section. It's a fundamental violation of WP:PRIMARY. Press releases are a first party account. We don't have subjects write their own "reception". Critical reception needs to come from reliable, third party accounts without any conflict of interest or bias in how the subject performs.
Please stop this. Thanks. Sergecross73 msg me 14:25, 6 October 2022 (UTC)

Wildly incomplete article creations
You're a long-time, experienced editor. Why are you rushing out these terrible articles? You published this and let it set 3 days before it got sent to AFD, and now you've submitted this poorly constructed article too? I don't recall you making bad calls on article creations in the past, so I don't know what's going on recently, but please slow down and out more care into them. Or let them sit in the draft space longer if you're just short on time or something. Sergecross73 msg me 02:08, 26 September 2022 (UTC)
- Reply - @Sergecross73:, I am editing from a mobile phone, WP:STUB, WP:POORLY, and WP:COLLABORATE. --Jax 0677 (talk) 12:17, 26 September 2022 (UTC)
- That's no excuse. If you can't work up a decent draft, don't publish it. There's nothing compelling you to immediately publish these junk album drafts like this. Sergecross73 msg me 12:21, 26 September 2022 (UTC)
- There's also the fact that your writing was not only poorly written, but directly misleading. You repeatedly wrote prose alluding to "reviews" that were were not album reviews at all. That's either an inexcusable oversight or downright dishonest, as there was no reasonable way to come to the conclusion they were actual reviews. Either way, completely not ready for the public to read. Sergecross73 msg me 12:24, 26 September 2022 (UTC)
- @Jax 0677: first of all, DRAFTOBJECT is not a policy, and as you've shown there's a good reason for that. Second, if you're editing from a mobile phone, why can't you just not create articles until you've reached a device that works better for you. Also, it would be nice if you could send us actual words and sentences instead of vague links to policies and such —VersaceSpace 🌃 14:01, 26 September 2022 (UTC)
- Reply - @Sergecross73:, if I alluded to articles that talk about the qualitative aspects of the album songs, and put them under Critical Reception, it is not that big of a deal. I am rarely in front of my home computer anymore, so it is tricky to write certain things on a mobile phone. Besides Wikipedia has many stubs. --Jax 0677 (talk) 22:49, 28 September 2022 (UTC)
- The fact that the article was a stub was not the problem whatsoever. And it is a problem that you are displaying something as "critical reception", when it isn't that at all. —VersaceSpace 🌃 23:03, 28 September 2022 (UTC)
- I concur with the complaints here. If you aren't able to properly format and write an article from a mobile phone, then publish it as a draft first. Then you can finish it up later, or ask someone else to help out. But it's not right to publish inadequate articles in mainspace simply because you can. Don't make it harder on others, or except them to clean up your messes. Please listen. BilCat (talk) 23:22, 28 September 2022 (UTC)
- Reply - @BilCat:, I made an honest mistake with the Critical Reception. I wrote The Great Heathen Army and Strike a Nerve without issue. WP:IDEALSTUB states "A stub should contain enough information for other editors to expand upon it" and that "The key is to provide adequate context". Coping Mechanism was recreated after it was redirected unilaterally. With 2022 Indiana abortion, I was told that not everything needs an infobox. WP:YFA says "We welcome good short articles, called "stubs", that can serve as launching pads from which others can take off – stubs can be relatively short, a few sentences, but should provide some useful information". That being said, I shall try to take better care on writing articles in the future. Thanks! --Jax 0677 (talk) 23:03, 9 October 2022 (UTC)

Shawn Mullins Navbox
Hey there. Didn't mean to step on your toes with the years in that navbox. I just happened to come across the Beneath a Velvet Sun article and discovered it had been redirected like a decade ago, so I found a couple reviews and recreated it. I just assumed the navbox had been around for a decade or more as well. I've never seen them with years next to the releases before, and figured it was an older format, since I had just spent about ten minutes fixing a very out of date album infobox from that restored article. Had no idea it was only a month old. Cheers. —Torchiest talkedits 14:53, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
- Reply - @Torchiest:, please link to the article in question when you post on a talk page. It seems that "Beneath a Velvet Sun" is a red link. There has been no clear consensus as to whether or not years should be next to albums in a music navigation box. It has been informally decided to leave years in a navbox that STARTED with years, but to keep them out of navboxes that did NOT start with years. --Jax 0677 (talk) 00:27, 18 November 2022 (UTC)

The article December 2022 North American winter storms has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Should be a Disambiguation page due to December 12-15, 2022 major blizzard. PROD is occurring due to revert of the DAB page to a redirect.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Elijahandskip (talk) 21:22, 4 January 2023 (UTC)
BLPN discussion closure
Good morning,
I've closed the Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons/Noticeboard#2022_pregnancy_of_a_10-year-old_in_Ohio conversation/s on BLP noticeboard, on I hope it makes sense and strikes the right balance; I would appreciate your feedback. JeffUK 10:11, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
- Reply - @JeffUK:, should DoNotArchiveUntil still be in the discussion? --Jax 0677 (talk) 12:40, 6 January 2023 (UTC)
- I don't know how or why that got added! I assume that means the discussion stays closed but doesn't get automagically moved to the 'archive' page? 2025 seems a bit extreme but I don't see any harm on the discussion remaining more visible for a while longer than normal as lots of people were involved.
