Baba Daya Singh Bedi comes from the lineage of Sri Guru Nanak - he is the 15th direct descendant of the great saint. The royal family was in Kallar, Rawalpindi, Pakistan and had great political, social and religious influence all the way till Afghanistan. It is important to document his family history, genealogy and traditions given that after the partition of Indian in 1947, Pakistan became an Islamic state and denied the heritage of other Sikh and Hindu princely rulers.

It also seems by the deletion history that Sigmabaroda and Sitush have a personal animosity and they have used my page to fight over and play around with. I have researched myu article on Daya Singh Bedi with great care, dedication and devotion. Everything is historically accurate. I am also formally translating Sikh text and studying Sikh history so believe me all that is there is accurate. Please restore the page back to original. Thank you.

  • You are at the wrong forum. The page has not been deleted, but large parts of it have been reverted because of very poor quality sources, and your original research. Primary Research like you have been doing is not allowed Wikipedia. FYI, my displeasure with the other editor is not with his mass deletions on this page, but because he did them without prior discussion on a talk page. My contribution to Daya Singh Bedi wikipedia has been deleted without warning or discussion or suggestion for improvement or reason for deletion by a certain Sigmabaroda who by his own admission is not versed in the casts and sects of Sikhism.

I have suggested to revert the page to it's original and go step by step on what is in in sync with your policies. This is my first time on wikipedia and my knowledge extends to Sikhism only.

What is required is some kind of reference to know where the information came from. If you know the documents that have this information, pelase provide a reference to them with your additions. They do not have to be in English. However we do not allow personal information, or what is acquired by just talking to people, it needs to be in a fixed form, such as writing. Hillerbrand + Magsamen

The Wikipedia page 'Hillerbrand + Magsamen' was deleted at the request of its initial creator Bonniebrunk. Stephan Hillerbrand and Mary Magsamen, the subjects of the wikipedia page had asked if the page could be deleted so they could each have their own individual pages rather then a page about their collaborative career. There have been 4 attempts to create individual pages for Stephan Hillerbrand and Mary Magsamen but they have been denied, citing that they "submission's references do not adequately evidence the subject's notability."

If individual pages can not be created for the two individuals Stephan Hillerbrand and Mary Magsamen, then the original wikipedia page 'Hillerbrand + Magsamen' should be restored. This page was created in 2012 and has been around for 3 years. It has been reviewed and passed evidence the subject's notability. The original creator of the page, Bonniebrunk, is asking for it to be restored and undeleted.

@Bonniebrunk:  Not done. Although deletion by PROD had been requested, the page was actually deleted as a copyright violation from http://www.auxiliaryprojects.com/HMmultiples and other sites, so it cannot be restored. You are welcome to write an article in your own words, but it should be based mainly on what others say about them, not on what they say about themselves. If that is accepted, I would think redirects to it from the individual names could be added.
The terms of the deletion request: "Both Mary Magsamen and Stephan Hillerbrand would like the page deleted so that they can make their own individual pages", show a misunderstanding of Wikipedia: this is an encyclopedia, not a place for people to make their own pages; that is strongly discouraged, for reasons explained at WP:Autobiography. A new version of that draft page was created on 4 January by user JarrodRussell (talk · contribs), who I guess is you. I have done a history-merge so that the earlier, deleted versions are available via the "View history" tab. If you take content from them, bear in mind the reviewers' comments on this version.
Check out WP:Notability (organizations and companies) and WP:Notability (summary); also the Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide, and note that you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use ("Paid contributions without disclosure" under section 4), and in some jurisdictions by laws against covert advertising, to disclose your interest in any edits where you have a COI. We believe the page was well within Wikipedia's Terms and Conditions and are happy to edit the page further to conform even more so. The firm is a notable and established company on par with Uber or Lyft. As a result we believe it to merit its own wikipedia page.  Not done My suggestion is that you let someone else not connected with the company or its promoters write it. Then there is less chance of promotional writing appearing. I am unconvinced by "on par", Uber has 64,000,000 news stories out there, Lyft over 2 million, and Karhoo has 645. If you are going to write something, please do so at Draft:Karhoo. I deleted this as an advertisement, and I think that's correct. I have doubts about notability, but I would not have speedy deleted on that basis alone, but rather used AfD.   • @Max Paxman: This is mildly promotional and at best reads like a personal essay written to showcase this method in the best light possible, so I do need to warn you that this would need to be completely re-written to meet WP:NPOV guidelines. It might be better for you to re-write this from scratch. Also, I have to ask: do you have a conflict of interest with any of this? (IE, do you work in a business where it'd benefit you if this was written in a positive manner?) You can still edit if you do, but you will need to read over WP:COI and disclose this COI somewhere, either on the article or on your user page. @George Ho: Question: the file currently used and at Commons is File:The Man Booker Prize 2015 Logo.jpg and is the current logo. It has more color and is different than the file you want restored. The local one is very different, it is a giant beige coloured lowercase e with "The Man Booker Prizes" text superimposed in white. Wikipedia is by its nature a tertiary source that provides a survey of information already the subject of publication in the wider world. Accordingly, we require that information be verifiable in reliable sources, that topics demonstrate notability, and that articles do not engage in original research. I am trying to update the content and the logo on this page. The text is inaccurate and the logo is out of date. Since I am affiliated with the UC Berkeley School of Public Health, my contribution was called a conflict of interest and my edits removed.
