Binibining Pilipinas 2016, the 53rd edition of Binibining Pilipinas, will be held on April 17, 2016 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City, Philippines.[1] The pageant will crown representatives of the Philippines to compete in the two of the Big Four international beauty pageants: Miss Universe and Miss International, and other international pageants such as Miss Supranational, Miss Intercontinental, and Miss Grand International in this edition of the pageant.[5][2][3]
Pia Wurtzbach (Miss Universe 2015), Janicel Lubina (Miss International 2015 Top 10 Finalist), Rogelie Catacutan (Miss Supranational 2015 Top 20 Semi-Finalist), Christi McGarry (Miss Intercontinental 2015 1st Runner-up), Ann Lorraine Colis (Miss Globe 2015), and Parul Shah (Miss Grand International 2015 3rd Runner-up) will crown their successors at the end of the event.[4][6]

- Kim Ross delos Santos (original contestant number 20) was disqualified from the pageant because of a sexy test fashion shoot she did in the past. She was replaced by Geisha Naganuma of Marilao, Bulacan.[172][173]
- Janelle Olafson (original contestant number 1) was disqualified from the pageant due to her sexy pictorial for a breast cancer awareness campaign in New York City.[174][175] She was replaced by Gail Doraine Ventic of Angeles City, Pampanga.[citation needed]
