Bio content

Is there some reason we should be mentioning Dixie D'Amelio as part of the 19-person TikTok collaborative group The Hype House? D'Amelio does not have a Wikipedia article and is not even mentioned by name in our Hype House article. She was restored (with the edit summary "she's cited because notable") after I removed her, but by Wikipedia standards her notability has not been shown. This article is about Rae , not the collective. We do mention one ofher member who does have a Wikipedia article, but why should we mention any of the other 17 members? Hi. The reason she's cited is because she's one of the most followed person on the TikTok platform, and ranked in this Wikipedia list: List of most-followed TikTok accounts. Lots of users or ip addresses are trying to add non-notable people to this list (a recent example I reverted) and I clean it almost on a weekly basis. The reason I let this person (as well as an other one mentioned, forgot the name) is that she seems to be notable (for the reason above), unlike others. --Deansfa (talk) 02:57, 21 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry but there's no need to write an article about someone for this someone to be cited in an article. This is a pure invention. The father and the mother are cited in this article even if they don't have an article. Dixie D'Amelio has unlike Rae's parents article in Allure, Nylon, and is cited in multiple articles like the New York Times. I have spent a significant amount of my time reviewing, cleaning and reverting this article from vandalism, I find extremely unfair that you arrive from nowhere and tell me what to write or not. I think I provided enough evidence for this person to be cited in the article (as well as non-notable people not to be cited). Thanks. --Deansfa (talk) 03:41, 21 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Again, if you think she is notable, then write an article about her first ot show that she is notable. As it is she is just one of the 17 non-notable members of group that the subject of the article happens to be in. And I suggest that you read WP:OWN. It makes no difference how much effort you have put in on this article or how recently I have started working on it. I saw a problem with a number of non-notables being named (siblings, childhood friends, etc) simply because of a connection with the subject and I removed them. Dixie was just one of them. And I did not say that there was a rule against mentioning anyone unless they had a wikipedia article. I'm questioning the mention in this article of this person among the 17 in the collective who do not have articles . Again, this article is not about the collective, so why should we mention non-notable members of it here? Because unlike the other 17 members of this Hype House, she's one of the most followed person on TikTok. That's one of the reason why.
