The N700 Series Shinkansen is a series of Japanese Shinkansen high-speed trains with tilting capability developed jointly by the Central Japan Railway Company and the West Japan Railway Company. It has been used on the Tokaido and San'yō Shinkansen lines since 2007. This scrollable panoramic photograph, presented here as sixteen separate images, depicts a sixteen-car N700A Shinkansen train travelling at approximately 300 km/h (190 mph) through Himeji Station, and was captured with a line-scan camera using strip photography.
