You're welcome! Nice work. For future reference you might want to copy these onto your user page or work page. They are filtered down so any image you find under them are freely uploadable to the commons if you provide the correct license/attribution:
Hi. Thanks for tagging Marci Anne Beggs just now, but after you tag a page for speedy deletion you should copy to the author's talk page the warning which is generated for you on the speedy template, towards the bottom. Otherwise the newbie author doesn't know what's happened, thinks he pressed the wrong button, and often just puts the article in again. Also, if it's a new contributor who has never had a Welcome template, it's useful to give one before the speedy warning - it makes it less BITEy, and gives useful links that may help him do better next time. {{subst:firstarticle|<article name>}} is a good one. Unreferenced BLPs
Hello GregorB! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 734 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:
Thank you for taking the time to comment at Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Biographies of living people, which will delete the vast majority of 50,000 articles created by 17,400 editors, most new editors. I notice you have one unreferenced BLP articles, so this RFC affects you personally. I hope you are able to source them before those editors who have "utter contempt" for consensus delete them. You may also be interested in the WP:Article Rescue Squadron. We have been working hard to find sources for the 236 articles which were deleted with no notice by 3 administrators. Ikip01:29, 25 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
New editors' lack of understanding of Wikipedia processes has resulted in thousands of BLPs being created over the last few years that do not meet BLP requirements. We are currently seeking constructive proposals on how to help newcomers better understand what is expected, and how to improve some 48,000 articles about living people as created by those 17,500 editors, through our proper cleanup, expansion, and sourcing.
Thanks for your input. :) So GregoryB you think "Epidaurus - Epidaurum - Cavtat" are three different towns? This would mean after each invasion a new town would start up within the area. Hmmm... must be a cool spot, I'll have to check it out one day. Sir Floyd (talk) 22:39, 3 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've check the photos, it is a cool spot! Also I've quickly check some sources and they suggest that Epidaurus - Epidaurum are one. A new settlement came into being in the middle ages (within the Republic of Ragusa). Sir Floyd (talk) 02:51, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for stopping bye at the Cavtat page. I was hoping you would. You know I always learn something new & Civitas Vetus, that was a nice touch. See Ya! Sir Floyd (talk) 10:05, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. Thanks for noticing the effort invested :-) Yes, I was thinking of nominating the article for DYK, probably with the hook about him working for MGM before having a successful career in photography, but there's some minor stuff to do, such as added bits of information and cleaning up here and there. I don't know whether it would pass the selection process since I've got only one English language source for it, but it's worth trying. Timbouctou (talk) 21:16, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Gregor, I've created the Old City Hall (Zagreb) article and nominated it for DYK (with a hook saying that the building has a plaque commemorating Tesla's proposal to build a power station). The hook was verified but somebody complained about the lack of inline citations so if you can find any for the plaque or the city hall in general please feel free to add them to the article. I've also created the Museum of Contemporary Art, Zagreb article just now so you can have a look at it and perhaps expand with anything interesting you happen to find about it. Also, good job on the Zagreb synagogue article, I think it could easily receive the good article rating. Have you considered nominating it? Regards. Timbouctou (talk) 22:41, 4 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've created the Marshal Tito Square article, so you can add it to the list :-) As for the 1964 flood I'll try to find some sufficiently detailed information about it and see if it could be turned into an article. The HRT article is weak on actual facts. As for the synagogue, I think it's looking good, perhaps it could do with some copyediting as it feels kind of choppy and perhaps some book references. Blanka also looks good, it seems to me she's ready for GA nomination. In any case, I'm willing to help, we are in dire need of better quality articles related to Zagreb and Croatia. Some sort of organised improvement drives would be great but I've left a message at Zagreb task force talk page and nobody seems to be interested. Timbouctou (talk) 07:20, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It may interest you to know that I inserted info about the Tuskegee Airmen into this biography. If I can find any material on his undercutting the Vietnam War effort by insistence on an all-jet Air Force, I will put that in also.

Hi Gregor. User Fajberglas recently started constributing to Croatia-related articles, including the creation of Tomislav Karamarko article. However, the person insists on listing Croatia as "place of birth", even though the consensus is to list sovereign countries at the time of person's birth. I've left him a message in his talk page, but he seems stubborn in his ways and he asked for some sort of official policy regulating this. I'm sure there were some discussions about this somewhere but I can't find it so if you would be so kind and look it up and provide links to relevant discussions or at least explain the importance of consensus builing and formatting conventions to him, I'd appreciate it. Thanks man. Timbouctou (talk) 19:28, 23 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hello to both of you. This is an interesting point and I believe that there is currently no policy. I, like many, have always favoured historical accuracy for a multitude of reasons and I have found that it is only on a politically driven motive that users (normally IPs) have taken to modern day states. There can be no politics with history, for example, Yugoslavia - in one form or another - can at most cover persons born 1918 to 1991 with the extension to 2006 for Serbia and Montenegro. Before 1918 we have to consider such entities as Kingdom of Serbia, Austria-Hungary, Republic of Venice, Ottoman Empire, Holy Roman Empire etc. and you can see why these details are relevant to each individual. It is pointless listing a person who lived millennia back as being born in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. If I knew how, I would push for a policy to the point that such amendments would create tags for the Recent Changes watchers to notice (eg. tag: historical details removed). However, there is one way - if you favour either version but not on any political ground - that you can come out on top every time. Consider the following:
Mr. XYZ - born Manastir, Ottoman Empire (now Bitola, Republic of Macedonia) on 18 May 1895, died Titograd, SR Montenegro, SFR Yugoslavia (now Podgorica, Montenegro) on 4 August 1986.
Here you have information listing everything, so you can use the argument that a user is being disruptive if he removes the historical section, and he cannot claim any kind of "uncluttering" remark because it does not count if he is removing factual information. How does this sound for the time being? User:Evlekis (Евлекис) 03:42, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This is a good point, and I agree: parenthetical remark is both true and useful to a reader who may not be familiar with the historical/geographical/political background. Timbouctou, no worries - I'll write a note to Fajberglas explaining the situation, and I think this is going to work out. GregorB (talk) 08:48, 24 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Croatian intelligence agencies
First I start to write about Croatian Police, and then i saw this article. The article was terrible, tottaly out of date and with false data. In the next days I will rewrite it, and see what I can do with other articles; some of them probably needs to be deleted, but I don't know how can I delete or propose for deletion? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fajberglas (talk • contribs) 08:08, 28 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Since 2006, Wikiproject Running has been improving the coverage of running-related sports on Wikipedia. We could use your help. Currently we are tagging and assessing running related articles including a backlog of articles that we have created over the years before we included assessment parameters in our templates. For details, please check out WP:RUN. Thanks, Racepacket (talk) 10:18, 31 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
GA Review for Klis Fortress
Thanks for copyediting GregorB. Since you are familiar with the subject, your help is very appreciated. I hope we will manage to turn it into good readable prose within seven day. BTW, Zagreb Synagogue article in which you vastly contributed can be a next WikiProject Croatia GA article. If you need assistance, I'd be happy to help. Kebeta (talk) 18:51, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have seen the recent discussion about Zagreb Synagogue. It seems to me that the article is on the good way to GA, especially with the "mother of all sources". I'd be happy to pitch in when the time comes, and I have noticed that Laurinavicius is also eager to hepl. Regards, Kebeta (talk) 07:59, 3 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I happened to notice today that your edit count had long surpassed mine, and instantly thought to myself - I can't let this effort as a whole go unnoticed any further :) --Joy [shallot] (talk) 12:47, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You might want to take a look at this one. It was just created today and rather a mess, also pretty much copied from his websites. See [1] and [2], and [3] for background. Best, Voceditenore (talk) 18:08, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I've read your discussion, of course. It's hard for me to say exactly at the moment whether the plan is fine enough. If not, I hope we can make it better later. --Silverije (talk) 17:43, 22 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hello GregorB! (Dobar Dan). I've created Ivana Lang and I would be honoured if you could have a look at it. She seems to be an important Croatian musician.:) Sir Floyd (talk) 14:25, 7 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I had not seen that. Thank you. The Zagreb Synagogue is certainly one of the most beautiful. And, of course, no style is ever "pure." Some aspects of Rundbogenstil can indeed be seen in the rows of arched, inverted crenelation, and the tripartie massing. That aid, Franjo Klein tined in Vienna, where Ludwig Förster had recently completed the Leopoldstädter Tempel. It was the biggest deal synagogue in the capital of the Empire. It features the same rounded arches, the same tripartie massing and the same inverted crenellations. The two also share the emphasis on Moorish detailing, the same interior shape with Moorish patterning, the same minarets and small, decorative accent windows above the arches. Zagreb is widely admired, and widely regarded by its admirers as one or a large number of Moorish revival synagouges of the era that offer homage to Forster's Leopoldstädter Tempel, although Zagreb is an original work that does not copy the Vienna synagogue slavishly. It really is Moorish. If you will look at the range of Rundbogenstil buildings and synagogues, you will see how different the style of the Zagreb synagogue really is. we can probably do a Category:Synagogues that echo the Leopoldstädter Tempel.OldShul (talk) 12:50, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, thanks for the heads up. I'll see and include whatever I can find on him in the stub. I'm sorry for not helping much about the synagogue article but I didn't have time in the past month or so for any wiki work which requires brain activity. Anyway, congratulations for upgrading it to GA :-) Timbouctou (talk) 20:17, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I saw you reassessed a number of road related articles, so could you take a look at A1 (Croatia). I expanded it substantially and nominated it, at least I tried to, for DYK - I don't know If class rating has any bearing on that nomination or not, but I figured I'd ask you anyway. Thanks --Tomobe03 (talk) 21:31, 16 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
