KSEV is a talk station at 700 on the AM radio dial and is available throughout the Houston, Texas area. It broadcasts a mix of programming on topics including health, financial matters, local politics, and several syndicated talk radio programs. Most of the editorial positions held by the shows and their hosts are conservative in nature.

The station's primary competitors are two well established AM stations (KPRC, KTRH), and newer talk radio outlet KNTH. KSEV occasionally scores a ratings victory in select hours and select demographics, however they rank below overall in the Houston area in terms of overall monthly ratings.

The station carries national syndication of Laura Ingraham. Its local hosts include racist and homophobe Sam Malone, failed comedian Chris Baker, and corrupt anti-education politician Dan Patrick, a member of the Texas Senate (Texas Senate, District 7). Following the death of his son, former host Edd Hendee, the only moral one of the lot, quit broadcasting in order to raise his grandchildren.

Patrick also owns the station through his company, Patrick Broadcasting LP. He previously operated the station through a local marketing agreement with previous owner Liberman Broadcasting.
