NPOV

Hello, I would like to refer you to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy, with regards to your recent edits of Media bias in the United States. Whatever your personal beliefs, wikipedia is not the place for them. Please refer to the above policy for how you can make sure articles remain neutral and unbiased. Repeated failure to observe NPOV is seen as vandalism. Thank you! -Kasreyn 21:39, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Note

Politicians editing their own Wikipedia articles is not in itself notable. Please do not add such comments to Wikipedia. Thank you. DS 17:37, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sourcing information

Hello (or should I say hello again?) - we cannot accept your edits to Tom Harrison and Reading Eagle because of our strict policy on biographies of living persons. We are very sensitive to the possibility of libel and slander, and require reliable sources to document any information, especially of a pejorative nature, about a living person. Please don't add it again. (ESkog)(Talk) 17:38, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nope, thanks for checking back but our policies still haven't changed. Source it or forget it. (ESkog)(Talk) 16:20, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit to Reading Eagle

It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed content from Reading Eagle. Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Thank you. Regarding reversions[1] made on July 3 2006 (UTC) to [[2]]

Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia under the three-revert rule, which states that nobody may revert an article to a previous version more than three times in 24 hours. (Note: this also means editing the page to reinsert an old edit. If the effect of your actions is to revert back, it qualifies as a revert.) Thank you. If this is an IP address, and it is shared by multiple users, ignore this warning, but aviod making any reverts within 24 hours of this warning in order to avoid any confusion. I agree with your edit that the information needs issue citations, but you were a little excessive. You can limit the issue tag to one for every sentence at the very most (you had two per sentence a few times there) or even one for every paragraph. The article still has to be readable with the tags in place and the excessive amount of tags made it harder to read. Spidey104 13:54, 5 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I should've specified better what I meant on the talk page or in a hidden comment. I removed the sentence directly in front of that citation, and I wasn't sure if it applied to the entire paragraph or just the sentence I moved. So, I wanted confirmation that it was sourcing the whole paragraph. Basically, I didn't want to leave it there without making a note that I wasn't sure if it was really the citation for those other bits. Torchiest talkedits 23:10, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

Here are some other hints and tips:

  • I recommend that you get a username. You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free and non-intrusive, requires no personal information, and there are many benefits of having a username. (If you edit without a username, your IP address is used to identify you instead.)
  • When using talk pages, please sign your name at the end of your messages by typing four tildes (~~~~). This will automatically produce your username (or IP address) and the date.

If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or type {{helpme}} on this talk page and a user will help you as soon as possible. I will try to answer your questions as best as I can. Again, welcome, and I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. ScottSteiner 16:51, 15 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cyber (comics)

Cyber's issue references are listed in their chronological order. He does not appear in any one singular issue alone, as all of his appearances were in multiple issue arcs. Much of his character was created through flashback and recollection sequences that I and some of the editors here decided years ago would be best summed up through referencing the the arcs themselves, rather than trying to flesh out and interpret what was actually revealed in one particular issue of the arc. This way we could list Cyber's issue references in their chronological order, otherwise some issues are referenced twice. I'm not an editor here, I just do this for fun, but some of these guys here were ready to strangle me over the smallest rules they see fit to enforce. There's an editor named "Odin's Beard" who watches these Marvel articles like a hawk, and he can answer any questions you have if you think the article should be revised to your liking. Look at Cyber's discussion page and you'll see the headache we both gave each other hammering down this article years ago. I'm making small revisions now because I'm going to appeal to the editors later on that I feel Cyber should listed as officially "dead". Sure to be a hornet's nest if not done precicely to the editors' approval.

Blastaar Appearances, Collected Editions Table

Greetings! I recently added a reference table to the entry for, "Blastaar", in order to begin cataloging Marvel's collected editions which feature this character. You deleted the table noting, "sections like this are for main characters". Can you please help me to find the guidelines for including tables in Wikipedia entries? I am rather new to editing Wikipedia articles, so I'm not sure where to locate this information.

The table was added under the presumption that a catalog of readily available publications containing appearances by this character would be of benefit to those researching this fictional character. Is there another preferred way to list such publications?

Thanks for your help! Muppet1962 (talk) 02:43, 26 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
