Hi Malmmf! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. Be our guest at the Teahouse! The Teahouse is a friendly space where new editors can ask questions about contributing to Wikipedia and get help from experienced editors like Rosiestep (talk).
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2017 Baylor Bears football team, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Alpine, Alabama. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. That has been tagged as needing references.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.
Hi. I have seen a rash of adding enrollment on US high school articles sourced to the athletic sanctioning bodies. Specifically in Indiana, Florida and Illinois. The ones in Florida and Illinois were all you. The ones in Indiana were three separate IPs and you. I am going to ask you to stop doing that. We generally carry other numbers based on enrollment besides the actual enrollment figures, specifically, student/teacher ratio and racial demographics. The sanctioning bodies do not provide these stats. Also, in several states, the number provided by the sanctioning body is not the actual enrollment, but the number of students that are eligible for athletics. Traditionally, school stats are sourced to either NCES or if available and more up to date, the state department of education. I'm not going to start several hundred separate talk page discussions, so please accept that this is notification on all the articles that you do not have consensus for your changes. If you are insistent on carrying forward with these additions, start a discussion at WT:WPSCH and try to seek consensus. Thanks. John from Idegon (talk) 15:47, 5 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Adding well formatted references is actually quite easy:
While editing any article or a wikipage, on the top of the edit window you will see a toolbar which says "Cite". Click on it.
Then click on "Templates".
Choose the most appropriate template and fill in as many details as you can. This will add a well formatted reference that is helpful in case the web URL (or "website link") becomes inactive in the future.
Click on Preview when you're done filling out the 'Cite (web/news/book/journal)' to make sure that the reference is correct.
Click on Insert to insert the reference into your editing window content.
Click on Show preview to Preview all your editing changes.
Before clicking on Save page, check that a References header ==References== is near the end of the article.
And check that {{Reflist}} is directly underneath that header.
7.Click on Save page. ...and you've just added a complete reference to a Wikipedia article.
Hi. Thanks for your edits, like this one. I just want to point out one small thing. Actually two. First, runs batted in is abbreviated "RBIs", not "RBI's". Also, numbers above ten, like the "thirteen" home runs in that edit, should be "13". Okay, thanks, keep it up! – Muboshgu (talk) 00:57, 22 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
Malmmf, Have a prosperous, productive and enjoyable New Year, and thanks for your contributions to Wikipedia.

Can we talk about the minor league players you're adding? Ones like this one aren't great. In that one, there's just the external stat source (Baseball Cube), his college bio page, a quick CBS thing about being drafted, and the MLB.com page showing he signed. Those verify the facts, but we're looking for WP:SECONDARY sources that almost reach GNG for these entries. That is far from. – Muboshgu (talk) 18:57, 25 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I’ve been looking at the new Top 30 Propsects lists and adding in the notable ranked ones that did not have pages. He’s ranked #19, so if that’s not notable enough, then I understand deleting it. – Malmmf (talk) 19:39, 25 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Being ranked in a teams top 30 doesn't necessarily mean a player is notable enough for the pages. Like Muboshgu said there needs to be sourcing. I'd also avoid adding random players from last years draft.--Yankees1023:47, 25 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
