The result of the discussion was delete. signed, Rosguill talk 21:00, 22 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Enwiki has no content about this subject. Yes, there is an old merge in the history but the article in which it was merged to was deleted in the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Middle-earth rivers (2nd nomination). The redirect currently at List of Middle-earth rivers was created after the deletion, so the history this redirect was merged into is no longer extant in an undeleted state anywhere. Only mention of Greyflood in enwiki is "Boromir lost his horse while crossing the Greyflood and travelled the rest of the way on foot", which doesn't really tell a reader anything about this river. It's a river, but I don't remember if it has any other names. If it has additional names, I guess this could be retargeted to where the river is detailed there, but I don't remember if this river had additional names. Previous RfDs for this redirect and similar redirects:

Information about her was removed from the target in April (see Talk:Online shaming#Example Farm). She is mentioned in passing on a few articles like IAC (company)#2010s and 2020s, Sam Biddle, Michael Kulich, and So You've Been Publicly Shamed, none of which would make good targets. A different Justine Sacco is mentioned at Timeline of women in warfare and the military in the United States from 2011–present. I'd say the best option would be to delete; a disambiguation page would be a distant second preference. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 15:13, 31 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - the subject is now mentioned in the target article again, and while she is also mentioned elsewhere, this is the main place this incident is mentioned. I recognise the existence of the 'other' Justine Sacco, but this incident is arguably the primary use. Robofish (talk) 18:31, 15 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Langage is an industrial estate next to Plympton - https://www.old-maps.co.uk/ doesn't show a village, and http://www.npemap.org.uk shows the name but it refers to a hamlet slightly further out where old-maps.co.uk shows Higher Langage and Lower Langage (probably farms). The industrial estate, hamlet and power station are all outside the boundary of Plymouth (of which Plympton is a part); administratively they are in Sparkwell but that article is a stub and doesn't mention any of them. It is often described as in Plympton or Plymouth but that is probably based on its postcode. A redirect to Language would be misleading. Peter James (talk) 11:17, 16 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Uanfala and add a typo-catching hatnote at the target. We don't disambiguate for typos. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 19:23, 18 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • Uanfala has already drafted a dab at Langage, so clearly they are in favor of this decision. CycloneYoris talk! 21:47, 18 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
    • After Peter James's comment, I think we have good reasons not to keep: the current target doesn't seem any more relevant for the place than several other articles. In cases like these it's best to leave it to the dab entry to clarify what exactly Langage is, and to link to the articles (probably more than one) that are relevant. Oh, and we actually do sometimes disambiguate for typos (a subset of such dabs can be seen here), but there are no typos involved in this case here. – Uanfala (talk) 23:44, 18 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Sparkwell Yes indeed Langage is in Sparkwell parish so it should be redirected there, in terms of the point about misspelling all of those that are transcluded don't have anything that is spelled correctly by those titles, a {{Redirect-distinguish}} would take care of this. Only mentioned in the target as part of the quote "On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron". A redirect to a DAB page which lists no-one who could be classified as an athlete under our naming conventions (i.e. someone who participates in the sport of athletics). There is an athlete with that name - hammer-thrower sv:Bengt Johansson (friidrottare), who looks as if he might pass WP:GNG and is mentioned in Athletics at the 1999 Summer Universiade – Men's hammer throw. The result of the discussion was keep. Between the outright keep !votes and the procedural objections, I see a rough consensus to keep the status quo, at least for the time being. signed, Rosguill talk 16:07, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Birther conspiracies are not limited to Obama. Trump started or otherwise helped spread birther theories against many of his political opponents, including Ted Cruz 1, and most recently Kamala Harris 2, 3. While the birther conspiracies originated from Obama, given the similarly high profile nature of other birther theories I am not sure a redirect to the Obama article per WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT is appropriate here. Suggest a retarget to Birtherism (disambiguation) but open to other options (e.g. hatnote) subject to the discussion. Dps04 (talk) 07:48, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Nohomersryan:, just for clarity: how would a potential article on birtherism as a conspiracy theory differ from Barack Obama citizenship conspiracy theories? Eggishorn (talk) (contrib) 17:21, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
As OP mentioned, at this point birtherism has been applied to a fair amount of high-profile US politicians; it doesn't have to be solely about Obama. Though I suppose you could say that "birtherism" primarily refers to Obama conspiracies, which would be contrary to the argument suggested in this RFD that there is no WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT Nohomersryan (talk) 17:42, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete Per nom it is an unlikely misnomer for the target. I can find no treaty signed at Lesbos, and there many treaties mentioning sexual orientation [3] so this is too vague to be a reference to any particular one of those. 59.149.124.29 (talk) 02:21, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
