Howard Marklein (born October 3, 1954) is a Wisconsin politician and legislator.
Born in Madison, Wisconsin, Marklein graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater in 1976. He is a Republican politician from Wisconsin. He was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly in 2010. Raised on a dairy farm in Spring Green, he spent his career working as a Certified Public Accountant.[1][2] On April 7, 2013 he announced that he would challenge incumbent state senator Dale Schultz in a Republican primary to be held on August 12, 2014.[3] On November 4, 2014, Marklein was elected to the Wisconsin State Senate.[4]
