Washington Township is one of fourteen townships in Cass County, Indiana, and one of the forty-six townships sharing the name in the state.[3] As of the 2010 census, its population was 1,608.[4]

History

Washington Township was organized in 1842.[5] It was named for George Washington, first President of the United States.[6]

Washington Township covers an area of 35.34 square miles (91.5 km2); 0.18 square miles (0.47 km2) (0.51 percent) of this is water.
