"Dancing in the Rain" is a song by Spanish singer Ruth Lorenzo. It was chosen to represent Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Denmark, where it placed 10th with 74 points.[1] The song was released in Spain and the United Kingdom as a digital download on 18 February 2014, through Roster Music on iTunes. The song was written by Lorenzo herself and British songwriters Jim Irvin and Julian Emery.

Live performances

On 22 February 2014 she performed the song live during Mira quién va a Eurovisión (English: "Look who's going to Eurovision"), where she was selected to represent Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Denmark. On 10 May 2014 Ruth Lorenzo performed the song live during the final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 at the B&W Hallerne in Copenhagen, Denmark. At the end of the voting, it had received 74 votes, placing it in 10th place in a field of 26 songs. Spain received 12 points from Albania.

Music video

The official music video of the song premiered on 14 March 2014. The video, directed by Paloma Zapata and choreographed by Myriam Benedited, was filmed in the former Fabra i Coats factory, a 19th-century spinning mill in Barcelona. The video focuses on Lorenzo, who is accompanied by Italian dancer Giuseppe Di Bella, and includes underwater scenes. The video served to introduce the Eurovision version of the song, with additional verses in English.[2]
