Annie Koutrakis MP is a Canadian Liberal politician who was elected as a Member of Parliament (MP) in the House of Commons of Canada to represent the federal riding Vimy during the 2019 Canadian federal election.[1] She was nominated as the Liberal cabinet after Liberal incumbent MP Eva Nassif was blocked from running for re-election by the party.[2]

Koutrakis was born in Montreal to Greek immigrant parents who arrived in Canada in 1957. She spent her early years in the Parc Extension area, eventually moving to Laval in 1976 where her family still resides. She has spent the last 30 years in the financial industry sector. She is the first woman to be elected President of the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal in its 113-year history.
