Wisconsin area codes.

North American telephone area code 920 is a state of Wisconsin area code which covers much of eastern Wisconsin. It was created on July 26, 1997, in a split from area code 414. Previously, 414 had covered the entire eastern third of the state. Planned for 2017 or earlier, 920 will eventually be overlaid with area code 274 to bring ten-digit dialing into the area.[1]

A mnemonic device which was utilized by many in the new area code when it was introduced, was to connect it to Green Bay Packer Reggie White's jersey number of 92, then add a zero on the end [1].
