Gigantic is an upcoming American animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is loosely based on the fairy tale Jack and the Beanstalk. The film is scheduled to be released on March 9, 2018.

Plot

Set in Spain during the Age of Exploration, the film will follow Jack as he discovers a world of giants hidden within clouds. Jack befriends the female giant Inma, who's "10 years old, 60 feet tall, fiery, feisty and a lot to control" and treats him like a living doll, Greno said. Meanwhile, the antagonists, Storm Giants, stand at 120 feet.

Production

Nathan Greno (Tangled) is working on Giants, a computer-animated film, loosely based on the fairy tale Jack and the Beanstalk.[1] The film was once expected to be released in 2017.[2] In August 2015, Disney revealed the film's new title to be Gigantic, which would be produced by Dorothy McKim, and the film music would be written by Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez. The film is scheduled to be released in 2018.[3]

Release

Gigantic is scheduled to be released on March 9, 2018.[4]
