Heather Nauert (born January 27, 1970) is an American news anchor for Fox News Channel. She is the news anchor of Fox & Friends and Fox & Friends First [1]

On February 1, 2009, Nauert began co-anchoring the Heather also was a regular on the Howard Stern show where she gave out weather tips and massages to guests. Heather also did newscasts Good Day Early Call and Good Day New York Wake Up with co-anchor Steve Lacy weekday mornings, for Fox owned-and-operated station WNYW in New York City. In October 2012, Nauert left Good Day Wake Up. She continues to anchor on Fox News Channel, as well as for The Strategy Room on FoxNews.com.[2]

Nauert was the co-host of the weekday edition of The Big Story, alongside John Gibson, on the Fox News Channel. She has worked previously as a government affairs consultant on health insurance, tax and Social Security issues.[3]

Rejoining the network in 2007, Nauert held positions at a number of different news organization, including ABC News from 2005 to 2007 as a general assignment correspondent where she contributed to World News Tonight, Good Morning America and Nightline. While there, she received an Emmy nomination for her work on the special series, "13 Around the World." [4]

She had previously worked for Fox News Channel from 1998 to 2005, first as a contributor for three years then as a correspondent for four years. During her time as a correspondent she regularly contributed to The Big Story.

Before first joining Fox News Channel, in 1996 Nauert was a reporter for the syndicated weekly business program, First Business. She is a member of the Council of Foreign Relations.

Personal life

Nauert is married to Scott Norby, an investment banker who works at Goldman Sachs. She gave birth to her first child on October 7, 2009. Her second child was born in 2010.[5] [6]

Education

Nauert attended Pine Manor College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Mount Vernon College for Women. She received her Master's Degree in Journalism from Columbia University.
