India at the 2012 Summer Olympics

India is scheduled to take part in the 2012 Summer Olympics to be held in London from 27 July to 12 August 2012. The Indian government plans to spend over Rs. 2500 million in preparing for the games, including around Rs. 200 million on foreign coaches for various events.[1] Ajit Pal Singh has been named the chef de mission of the Indian contingent by the IOA.
