Archbishop is named celebrant - The top left corner of this Lodi Sentinel (same as another cite) newspaper identifies the date as Saturday, August 24, 1968 identified Joseph T. McGucken with Bell and then bishop Timothy Manning giving the sermon for the 38th Annual National Italian Catholic Federation. It further reads that later that night a civic banquet was held in Bell's honor. It further stated that in advance of the Mass, a procession was held and that Bell invited other denominations to join the procession and Mass. ----moreno oso (talk) 02:17, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Labor Day Convention For Italians - August 17, 1968 Lodi Sentinel has more info about convention on August 31. At Hotel El Dorado with Sacramento Mayor Richard Mariott mentioned in both articles. It is reassessed at the B class because the article is "is mostly complete and without major issues, but requires some further work to reach good article standards."
