I think we should mention that the rules for Celebrity BB are different. They don't have to have cameras in the toilet and they don't have to give reasons for nominations.--Darrelljon 22:07, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Page name

I believe this page should be at Celebrity Big Brother (UK) because it's not called Celebrity Big Brother UK, but it is Celebrity Big Brother, in the UK. But it won't let me move the page. -- AnemoneProjectors (talk) 18:45, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Split

– The UK CBB came first and has been going for over a decade - it's now on its 14th series. Only four other celebrity versions are called Celebrity Big Brother and all of them only lasted one series/season. Unreal7 (talk) 11:48, 20 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support I'm not even sure how this could be a debate after you look at article traffic. Celebrity Big Brother (UK) had 16K hits in July and approximate 35K so far in August.[1][2]. The next closest is the dab page, Celebrity Big Brother, with 2.5K hits in July and 5K so far in August.[3][4] What's most interesting is you see near zero spillover traffic from the dab page onto the other versions of the show. The Australian version had 600 hits in July[5], the Finish 500 hits[6]. Further the jump in traffic for the dab page matches the traffic for the UK version. Since Celebrity Big Brother (UK) article does not contain a link to the dab article in the lead I think it's safe to say that there is actually mislinks that should be pointing to the UK article and not the dab.--Labattblueboy (talk) 04:31, 21 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the move request was: Moved to Celebrity Big Brother (UK TV series). There seems to be a consensus for this move, and also a rough consensus that per WP:NCTV we should include "TV series". For future reference @TheDoctorWho: please could you put additional comments in a "Discussion" section below the "support" and "oppose" votes, because it makes it more difficult to read when there is a lot of extra stuff in the survey section. Celebrity Big Brother → Celebrity Big Brother (UK) – This article is currently named Celebrity Big Brother. As of this point although there are many television shows named Celebrity Big Brother I do believe this one is more popular. However according to WP:NCTVUK it clearly states that "When there are two or more television productions of the same type and name" which is exactly the case. Therefore the UK part should have never removed in the first place. Also according to Wikipedia:WikiProject_Big_Brother#Naming_articles the article should include "(UK)". The name Celebrity Big Brother should either be a disambiguation page or an article similar to Big Brother (franchise). TheDoctorWho (talk) 13:04, 10 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support. Page hits arent a good way to go about this. People are likely to begin looking for information on the upcoming US version.. and it would be confusing to land here.   • I agree they're not however the pageviews speak for themselves here, This page more or less has more pageviews because out of them all this is the most known and probably most notable one, I agree editors would come here looking for other ones but it's no different to editors going to Jazz to look for the character Jazz Curtis..... I'm sorry but when did we start throwing out wikipedia policy for page hits? Within moments of being announced anytime you searched Celebrity Big Brother on Google you returned hundreds of articles all about the upcoming series. The next morning googling Celebrity Big Brother on the U.S. Google returned very little to no information on the UK series! I guess what I'm saying is as of this point in the UK the UK version is more popular however since that version never aired in the U.S. the U.S. versiom is FAR more popular in the U.S. than the UK version. The pageviews are from ToolsLab or whatever it's called not Google themsleves, I whole heartedly agree Google does base searches by country which makes things alot harder news-wise however that can easily be bypassed with US proxies etc, Anyway IMHO CBBUK at present is the most known obviously here and worldwide and I said if anything changes I'd be happy to visit this, Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 19:31, 10 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
CBBUK may be more popular in the UK but as of right now living in America I can personally tell you that CBBUS is more popular here than CBBUK. And this may be true in other places as well for example in Austrailia CBBAUS may be more popular than CBBUS. Therefore I don't think you speak for worldwide. I don't care about the title I just suggested the one I did because it follows Wikipedia:WikiProject Big Brother and is what the naming making of these pages usually name after. However I agree this should either be turned into a disambiguation page or if enough information is available should be turned into an article similar to Big Brother (franchise). Comment I never said it was due to lack of views. Regardless of popularity, I was just going off the Australia, Croatia etc having just one series of CBB, and UK having 20. I said if USA became more of a regular thing, i.e more than one series then to reconsider the change.
