Gypsy-Rose BlanchardGypsy Rose Blanchard – There is no hyphen in her name. Manipulative Maniac (talk) 13:16, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Support – Every other source documenting her release does not use a hyphen Manipulative Maniac (talk) 17:06, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose and snow close - The nomination's rationale is plain incorrect. estar8806 (talk) 22:33, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal

[edit]

Per the outcome of the AfD, we should have a merge discussion here, since it did seem like consensus there more overwhelmingly supported a merge (I didn't see a difference, really, and still don't, as it seems to me that even now about 80-90% of the article is duplicative content from Murder of Dee Dee Blanchard; a merger is effectively a delete. But if people want it discussed that way, fine.

And we can, of course, always reverse that if, at some point in the future, there is enough notable about Gypsy's life to warrant a separate article. Daniel Case (talk) 23:03, 31 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Addendum: It seems the procedure is to discuss this at the talk page of the article proposed to be merged to, so let's have it there. Daniel Case (talk) 23:14, 31 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Married/legal name

[edit]

Why was Anderson removed from her name? She hasn't divorced her husband yet, so her last name is still Blanchard-Anderson. cookie monster 755 01:23, 22 May 2024 (UTC) cookie monster 755 01:23, 22 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Non-neutral point of view

[edit]

The text of the article, particularly in the Biography section, contains a number of uses of informal or overly flattering language (i.e., "Many people who met Gypsy-Rose were charmed by her"). Llewelynmoss1 (talk) 15:44, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

It appears that "Gypsy Rose" on the 2021 October 22 album Street Magic by rock band Paralandra might qualify for inclusion under "In popular culture". 166.181.89.89 (talk) 12:45, 12 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Change “munchausen by proxy survivor” because in the true crime reports for Gypsy rose which is provided on Reddit or YouTube it states dee Dee Blanchard was never suffering from munchausens. In fact, gypsy has a microdeletion in which most of the procedures were needed; hence the feeding tube. Otherwise, gypsy’s adult teeth never came in; hence procedure to fix her teeth. The “20 surgeries” gypsy claims were done in her interviews were never done. The abuse by her mother (chaining Gypsy to a bed by a dog leash after trying to run away) was never proven by law officials. In fact, reports state even though Gypsy and Dee Dee had a cat or dog at some point, there were never any leashes found in the house at the crime scene. Also, Gypsy claimed her mom kept her in a wheelchair because of muscular dystrophy. But reports indicate Gypsy knew she could walk at a young age and lied to the public in order to keep her benefits and donations. Furthermore, the report even shows Nick, and also Gypsy’s DNA at the crime scene. But there was too much DNA to resolve the case. Gypsy made a plea deal, which was a second degree murder charge, and took it. Otherwise, evidence would have been against her in trial and she would’ve faced first degree murder charges. Furthermore, Gypsy’s trial never happened. AKA no evidence was presented against Gypsy. Therefore, Nick was the only target for first degree murder and is in prison for life.  Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Cannolis (talk) 06:29, 3 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
