Title Correction

[edit]

Hi, I can't find how to correct the title. I tried this: DISPLAYTITLE:Kim Sawchuk. But it didn't work. Obviously "sawchuk" needs a capital letter... — Preceding unsigned comment added by MaudeG3 (talkcontribs) 11:45, 26 February 2015

You'll gain the tool to move pages when you've been here a few days and done some more edits. In the meantime, Done.
The text "Our project" which you included in the article suggests you may be close to the subject. Please be careful. Bazj (talk) 13:20, 26 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sourcing

[edit]

I see the problem with the article. Sawchuk does appear to be an important academic in this emerging field, but she cannot be the source of her own page. As I clicked on references what I found is that you imbedded links to neutral sources but did not show them as references. Thus, it appears all references are to sources by Sawchuk herself, or webpages of entities which she has created. Those are unacceptable as sources because of bias. Will try to help you re-work the piece, as it is evident that she is notable, and the problem is in how to show documentation. SusunW (talk) 14:55, 12 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination withdrawn?

[edit]

Comment by @Kraxler: on AfD is ("nomination withdrawn" is a rationale, not a result, besides, this change is necessary to enable bot parsing of the result for AfD stats) but tag above still indicates "The result of the discussion was nomination withdrawn." I do not know if this requires an admin to correct or not. Documenting discrepancy. SusunW (talk) 07:11, 14 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was keep, meaning that the article is kept and was not to be deleted. All votes were keep, anyway. "Nomination withdrawn" was the reason why the discussion was closed early, usually an AfD runs for a whole week. I changed the bolded word which decsribes the result of the discussion, at the AfD page because there is a tool that analyzes the votes and results of AfD discussions. "Nomination withdrawn" gives a default message of "UNDETERMINED" which in this case is not correct. The result at the top of this page is stated as "nomination withdrawn", and needs not be changed. "Nomination withdrawn" shows to the experienced Wikipedian that the result was keep, that all or most voters voted keep, and that the nominator himself perceived that the nomination was hasty/mistaken/overzealous/etc. Thus, on this page, "nomination withdrawn" shows more weight to keep the article than an ordinary "keep". Thank you for the explanation @Kraxler:. There is so much to learn about Wikipedia. I appreciate your taking the time to explain the process and its interpretation. SusunW (talk) 13:42, 14 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
