Talk:Mayor Max II
Contested deletion
[edit]This page should not be speedy deleted as pure vandalism or a blatant hoax, because it is not a hoax, is all true, and has been such for several years. Given the wide-ranging positive effects of Mayor Max both in Idyllwild, California and far beyond, the page is wholly relevant.
While the mayoral election commenced as an animal rescue fundraiser and was to--more or less--provide the pet’s owner with bragging rights that his dog or cat is the Mayor of Idyllwild, Mayor Max’s owners have taken the endeavor to a much higher realm, both in the interest of promoting Idyllwild and promoting a worldwide message of peace and love, the latter of which has had far-reaching effects.
Max has friends the world over. People travel from around the world to visit him. This is no exaggeration; a couple traveled from Dubai to meet Mayor max, staying in the United States for a week.
Mayor Max has appeared extensively in media, both on television and in print. He has appeared on the “To Tell the Truth” game show, on “The Kelly Clarkson Show”, ABC News (numerous times, both in-studio and in the field), Univision, NowThis News, “Today Show” (Australia), KTLA 5 Los Angeles, Travel + Leisure Magazine, The Drudge Report, The Guardian, People Magazine, HBO, Woman’s Day Magazine, Boston Herald, Fox News, NPR, The CW Network, Sunset Magazine, and New York Post. He most recently agreed to appear in an ad with actor Ryan Reynolds for his company Mint Mobile.
He is recognized by Riverside County Supervisor Chuck Washington for his efforts.
His office has produced a free 12x12” calendar since 2014 which has been and remains desired by thousands each year. Recent year print runs have been 10,000 each.
His office produces social media posts daily to spread his message to his millions of admirers. His office also maintains the mayormax.com website and a dedicated landline telephone.
The Mayor Max endeavor is not profit-generating. It has been funded exclusively by Max’s owners. There is no tax base in Idyllwild to fund the office as the town is unincorporated.
On a daily basis people in strife and some even suicidal have expressed that the Mayor’s messages of love and kindness have literally saved them, making it possible to get through their days.
I am not the page author; I have edited it.

- There was a previous edit mentioning that he was succeeded by Max III, due to nepotism: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mayor_Max_II&oldid=1226529590 Inuchance (talk) 22:44, 18 July 2024 (UTC)
