Reversion of major changes[edit]

I removed many links that were either un-sourced or poorly sourced links, especially in the Speaking Engagement and Awards section, and subsequently, the text that went with these links. Understandably, this removed many speaking engagements and awards. If other editors wish to add back in what was deleted, please make sure it is supported by reliable sources prior to doing so. These talks and awards may indeed be supported somewhere with appropriate sources, however, I was unable to locate at present, and to retain within Wikipedia guidelines for a biography, they were removed. Additionally, when referencing awards, please refrain from using superfluous adjectives otherwise, it is promotional. Edudent (talk) 13 May 2012 (UTC)

I just reverted a large number of edits by a SPA. These edits had removed properly cited references, and just generally multilated the article. New editors should be aware that all content added to BLPs must be supported by reliable sources (e.g., we need a reliable source to state that he has four kids, otherwise, that factoid goes). Also, any removal of properly sourced content must be accompanied by explanation here on the talk page or in your edit summary. Otherwise, it may be reverted. In the future, it's probably a good idea to discuss your changes here first. SheepNotGoats (talk) 14:09, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

External links modified[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Shai Reshef. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

Introduction: New Member[edit]

Hi everyone, my name is Kiera and I am the Content Manager at University of the People. I will be monitoring this page and might make suggestions at times that I hope you'd be happy to help change. Thanks! --KieraLewison (talk) 09:45, 3 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Early Life - Incorrect Info[edit]

Shai Reshef is not the child of Polish-Jewish Holocaust survivors, there is no resource anywhere that mentions this. Can someone please remove it? --KieraLewison (talk) 10:05, 3 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@KieraLewison: The cited source [1] states "Physically short in stature, the self-deprecating Reshef is a child of Polish Jewish Holocaust refugees, husband of painter Rotem Reshef and father of four college-age children." TJMSmith (talk) 14:59, 3 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@TJMSmith: That source is an old article that contains incorrect information. We were recently made aware of the misinformation and tried contacting the reporter without any luck. However, I recommend that the information be removed from this Wikipedia page because there is no other evidence to support what is written, and I know first hand from Shai Reshef that it is false information. --KieraLewison (talk) 08:58, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I have started a discussion to examine the the reliability of The Jewish Week. Please feel free to contribute to the discussion! TJMSmith (talk) 13:01, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You are not an RS, and I suggest you read wp:or.Slatersteven (talk) 15:28, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@KieraLewison: This is something that should be taken up with the volunteer response team, see WP:OTRS, they should be able to assist you. Kind regards Hemiauchenia (talk) 22:09, 6 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest we just leave out this factoid. It only has one source, and it doesn't add much to Rshef's bio.--Bob not snob (talk) 09:00, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

New Award Addition[edit]

Hiya! I'm Dana and I work on the content team for University of the People. Shai recently won an award—The 2023 Yidan Prize for Education Development. It would be great to add this to his page.
