Stephen Barclay → Steve Barclay (politician) – His personal website and his Offical Parliamentary profile, as well as most of the sources, use "Steve". Yes, it needs to be disambiguated, but opting for a less-used version of someone's name is not the preferred way to disambiguate. At present the article makes no mention of the name by which he appears to prefer to be known. As the existing redirect has no history, I could just have moved this page as "uncontroversial", but nothing connected to any politician is ever uncontroversial, so opening a discussion here instead. – Per WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Rotideypoc41352 (talk · contribs) 13:47, 7 July 2022 (UTC) Steve Barclay is currently a disambig page with three links: this article for the politician, one for a deceased actor, and one for a former race car driver. According to pageviews analysis, since January of this year, when this article was moved from "Stephen Barclay" to "Steve Barclay (politician)", it has averaged 471 views per day, compared to 8 for the actor and 1 for the racing driver. The disambig, for whatever it's worth, has averaged 9. Sunshineisles2 (talk) 20:40, 5 July 2022 (UTC)
