Teleperformance (TP) (Euronext Code 5180) is an international corporation which was founded in Paris, France in 1978 by Daniel Julien. Teleperformance provides customer service, technical support, and sales call center outsourcing as well as worldwide outsourcing services. Headquartered in Paris, France, Teleperformance has call centers worldwide in North America, South America, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Australia. It operates 281 contact centers in 45 countries through a number of subsidiaries, including Teleperformance USA, Lion Teleservices, CTM Telemarketing, DirectStar and Techmar. Its client base includes international telecommunications and technology companies such as Dell, Verizon and Sprint Nextel.

History

1978: Creation of Teleperformance in Paris [5] by Daniel Julien and Edwid John Nomio.

1986: First international subsidiaries in Belgium and Italy.[6]

1987 - 1989: Association with Jacques Berrebi[7] and Christophe Allard[8] brings together the founding trio of SR. Communication.

1988: Opening of Teleperformance Austria[9] followed by other European markets such as Germany,[10] Sweden[11] and the United Kingdom.[12]

1993: Creation of Teleperformance USA.[13] The company begins to build its contact center activities in the United States.

1996 - 1998: Development of contact center activities in the Asia-Pacific region with the establishment of operations in Australia,[14] Philippines,[15] Singapore[16] and South Korea.[17] Stronger presence in Europe with multiple acquisitions, or start-ups in Switzerland,[18] Norway,[19] Denmark,[20] Greece, [21] Spain,[22] the Netherlands[23] and Finland.[24]

1999-2002: SR. Communication and Teleperformance merge to create SR. Teleperformance. SR.Teleperformance develops Technical Assistance solutions and launches the TechCity Solutions brand[25] in parallel. Extension of the contact center network throughout the Americas, into Argentina,[26] Brazil,[27] Mexico [28]and Canada.[29]

2004: SR. Teleperformance continues its worldwide expansion with the acquisition of CallTech Communications[30] in the U.S. and of MM Group,[31] the UK’s fourth largest provider of outsourced contact center services. SR. Teleperformance acquires a controlling interest in 3 companies located in Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.[32] SR. Teleperformance increases its presence in the German market with the acquisition of the company All By Phone+Net.[33]

2005: SR. Teleperformance achieved over a billion Euro revenues[34] (1.19 billion € in revenues)

2006: SR. Teleperformance continues to expand into eastern regions with the acquisition of Teleperformance Russia[35] and Teleperformance China.[36] SR. Teleperformance becomes Teleperformance. Teleperformance completes the re-launch of the Global Portal website along with 12 individual country sites.

2007: Teleperformance acquires Twenty4help Knowledge Service AG to expand on their commitment to the technical support / help desk arena in the EU. [37] Teleperformance acquires AllianceOne, a leading Accounts Receivable Management company in the US.[38]

Teleperformance USA

Teleperformance USA, a subsidiary company of Teleperformance is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. The company has call centers through out the United States. In 2006, Teleperformance announced the merger of its two most significant U.S. business entities, Teleperformance USA and CallTech Communications, LLC and retained the Teleperformance name[39][40].

Teleperformance USA manages and oversees all English speaking operations to the U.S. market from onshore, nearshore & offshore locations.
