Uncompaghre County was a county of the State of Colorado that existed for only three days. Uncompaghre County was created by a temporary renaming of Ouray County in 1883.

History

On February 27, 1883, the Colorado General Assembly renamed Ouray County as Uncompaghre County.[1] Three days later on March 2, 1883, the General Assembly changed its mind and changed the name of Uncompaghre County back to Ouray County.[2]
