Backwardscopy

I see you've run into a potential {{Backwardscopy}} over at The Collector (2009 film).[2] There are several ways to check. One way that sometimes works for me, is to check the revision dates with the help of either Google cache and/or the Wayback Machine over at the Internet Archive.[3] As far as IMDb goes, it looks like you have to be logged in to view the revision history. In this particular case, the Wikipedia revision history is all we need. You can either search through the revisions using various tools, or just look at it visually. Using the latter, the revision date of 21:49, 21 November 2009 jumps right out. Looking at the diff,[4] we see that yes, indeed, it was a copyvio, copied not from IMDb to Wikipedia, but from themoviespoiler.com.[5] Looking closer at the edit history, we see that this article was desperately in need of semi-protection, because some jokers continue to add the plot back into the article over and over again. I would definitely consider requesting SP if you see a pattern behind this kind of thing. Viriditas (talk) 09:19, 1 March 2011 (UTC)

I will check it out. I need to have my thinking cap on and use proxies for all of the sites, so I will do it when I can sit down an concentrate. Thanks for the info. It's something I've been wondering about for quite a while. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 22:54, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
Okay. My thinking cap's on. First, my main supergood proxy is gone. I'm down to one, which doesn't allow archive.org/wayback. Second, what do I remove to turn secure into normal? Sorry for the hassle. Life behind the wall. Speaking of which, here's a conversation I had today with the Internet repairman:
  • ME: "Why can't I see images at Wikipedia."
  • RM: "It must be your settings." (Goes to desktop and clicks "refresh" nine times in a row.)
  • ME: "No. It's not my settings. I can see images on all other websites."
  • RM: "Then it must be the GFC."
  • ME: "It can't be. There are two giant Internet companies for the whole country. One allows Wikipedia images, and the other doesn't."
  • RM: "Then it must be your settings." (Fiddles with connection settings while I sit poised to snatch the mouse away.)
  • ME: It can't be. Look. All other sites show images.
  • RM: "Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm." (Starts to browse randomly.)
  • ME: "Well?"
  • RM: "It must be your settings."
  • ME: "No. It must be your company. I know you can't fix it here. Can you please talk to your manager?"
  • RM: (Goes to desktop and opens C: then drifts off into space for a while.)
  • ME: "Hello."
  • RM: "Yes?"
  • ME: "Will you talk to your manager?"
  • RM: "About what?"
  • ME: "Never mind."

He he, you were lucky he didn't switch out the modem in case images were getting stuck inside it. Must be your settings ... :) ► Philg88 ◄ talk 22:11, Wednesday March 9, 2011 (UTC) 22:11, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
Anna, I'm sorry to hear you are still having problems. Have you checked your settings? ;-) Seriously though, wading through multiple tiers of tech support can be really frustrating. I've pretty much lost my once reliable wireless connection because a supergenius decided to adjust the towers, so I understand where you are coming from. BTW, I read how many people are working on maintaining the GFC and it left me flabbergasted. Who will guard the guards? Viriditas (talk) 03:49, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
Yes, the GFC is huge. There's no shortage of manpower here. But, like I've said before, it's been a good thing, especially considering Tunisia/Egypt/Tunisia. The people here are still too fresh out of the old system to handle dissent. The main objective remains: prevent huge groups from forming, prevent chaos, protect the masses.
As for the computer problems, I think I've figured it out. It's probably the settings. Either that or else it's the settings, or something setting-related.
As for your wireless problems, it's probably the towers. Either that or an adjustment problem related to the towers. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 04:34, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
We've just had our first major wave of PRC tourists this year. Very nice people, I must say, and I had a lovely time talking with them. Their English is very good, and aside from their accent, their vocabulary is better than most Americans. All of them said the same thing: "The air is so clean, here!" I called tech support about the towers, and there's nothing they can do because I'm located between two of them so the router gets confused, switching from one to the other and dropping the connection. They have told me the only thing possible is to purchase a new omnidirectional router for $40, so maybe this is part of their marketing plan. Planned obsolescence? Viriditas (talk) 04:41, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
Chinese people are wonderful. They are very modest, and I especially like the fact that they are totally non-violent. You never see people physically fighting, and it's always safe in an elevator or a dark alley.
I often compliment them on their English. They are awesome students. They really work hard.
Your connection trouble: I would suggest either a ball of tinfoil on your router, or maybe sticking bananas into the tower, (although that might just be a tailpipe thing). Anna Frodesiak (talk) 04:52, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
The Chinese have been in Hawaii for a very long time; their culture is very much a part of the fabric of the state. I got myself into a conversation about the history of Chinese exploration with one PRC tourist, and his face brightened up, and he launched into a discourse on the 2000 treasure ships sent out in the 15th century. He went on for 15 minutes. Viriditas (talk) 05:11, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
What proxy-related advice can you give to an English language only potential visitor to your country? Please feel free to email if the info's not for public consumption. Thanks.   — Jeff G.  ツ 02:58, 17 March 2011 (UTC)

You are most welcome here. Please let me know if I can help in any way. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 11:51, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

Your userpage

If I may make a suggestion.. I think it would be really cool if you formatted your Cafe Anna image as a clickable image map and have the individual picture frames each link to a different Wikipedia page. For example, I see you got the Just for Laughs mascot in there, that could link to it's article, and Jimbo's face could link to his userpage. You could even hide some easter eggs in there. -- œ 22:00, 6 March 2011 (UTC)

That's a very interesting idea. I never new about image map. And easter eggs! Also very cool. I will try to figure it out. Thanks for the suggestion! Anna Frodesiak (talk) 01:31, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
Now, if only that sea of numbers made any sense to me. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 01:49, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
They're coordinates. :) There's documentation at mw:Extension:ImageMap if it would be any help. -- œ 07:45, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
So in the case of the picture frames it's much easier, you would use "rect" and only 4 numbers (for each picture frame), as there's 4 sides to a rectangle. -- œ 07:49, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
I did it! Trouble is, I can only see Wikipedia images through a proxy, so my normal experience of Wikipedia is text only. I tested the rectangle via the proxy and it seems like I have the right side and top side alright, but the rectangle is too wide to the left, and drops down too low at the bottom. Is this just a proxy illusion, or is it okay? (I am using MS Paint to get the coords.
Also, what about the overall cafe image size? Do most people have wide screens? What permanent size would you suggest? Thanks!! Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:25, 7 March 2011 (UTC)

A bit of followup:

http://toolserver.org/~dapete/ImageMapEdit/ImageMapEdit.html seems to work. I uploaded the image to stashbox as commons is blocked for me.

Not sure how it will all turn out, but I'm on the right track.

Thanks again for all your help. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 01:04, 8 March 2011 (UTC)

It works great! Haha I like how Jimbo is drinking Vodka! and out of a bowl! Is that a cigar in his other hand? There's a lot of fun you can have with image maps. :) -- œ 01:50, 8 March 2011 (UTC)
Yes. It works very well, and that toolserver thingy is very easy, even for me. I actually did almost all. Thanks again. Now I really like my user page. (Oh, and that's a saucer. I didn't draw it very well. I tried to make it more clear.) :) :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 04:00, 8 March 2011 (UTC)

Really lovely article, but how do you define treasure? I've refrained from creating the article in the past for the same reason, and the overlap with Lost artworks. Gareth E Kegg (talk) 08:44, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

I kind of regret starting the article. I now see the same problems you are talking about. Hmmmm. I'm lost. Should I self-speedy it? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 09:37, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
I think you should :( I'm really sorry because I love this topic, and plan to do more around it. I've also struggled on how to name List of most expensive Objet d'art/List of most expensive artworks (excluding paintings)? Nazi plunder] needs SO much graft put into it. Gareth E Kegg (talk) 19:35, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
I think you're right. I'll sit on it for a while. Maybe we can think of a clever way to title it or dump it into another article. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:00, 16 March 2011 (UTC)

What websites can be external links?

Hi Anna,

I'm confused about what websites can be eligible to be an external link. Ive noticed many edits and re-edits of people posting retail websites under external links and then some are marked spam and removed and others are left. Is this allowable if it links to say an informational page of the site? Or does it have to be a completely informative website to be a link?

Thank you,

Good morning to you. I'm not quite sure what you're asking. If you mean regarding your edits, I would suggest a short edit summary explaining what the edit was. Marking articles students are working on

Howdy, Online Ambassador!

This is a quick message to all the ambassadors about marking and tracking which articles students are working on. For the classes working with the ambassador program, please look over any articles being worked on by students (in particular, any ones you are mentoring, but others who don't have mentors as well) and do these things:

  1. Add {{WAP assignment | term = Spring 2011 }} to the articles' talk pages. (The other parameters of the {{WAP assignment}} template are helpful, so please add them as well, but the term = Spring 2011 one is most important.)
  2. If the article is related to United States public policy, make sure the article the WikiProject banner is on the talk page: {{WikiProject United States Public Policy}}
  3. Add Category:Article Feedback Pilot (a hidden category) to the article itself. The second phase of the Article Feedback Tool project has started, and this time we're trying to include all of the articles students are working on. Please test out the Article Feedback Tool, as well. The new version just deployed, so any bug reports or feedback will be appreciated by the tech team working on it.

And of course, don't forget to check in on the students, give them constructive feedback, praise them for positive contributions, award them {{The WikiPen}} if they are doing excellent work, and so on. And if you haven't done so, make sure any students you are mentoring are listed on your mentor profile.

Thanks! --Sage Ross - Online Facilitator, Wikimedia Foundation (talk) 18:10, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on File:Robert Goddard 1924.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.   — Jeff G.  ツ 02:18, 17 March 2011 (UTC)

Potential safety hazard

Dear Ms. Frodesiak: It has come to my attention that you may be in violation of the following:

POTENTIAL SAFETY HAZARD TO INANIMATE OBJECTS IN DRAWINGS-VIOLATION OF SECTION 02-22357-6

I would like to draw your attention to File:Drawing_of_Cafe_Anna_01.jpg. As you can see for yourself, the new steps to the basement you have constructed lack the required permit and the necessary safety handrail and wheelchair-accessible ramp and/or elevator.

Ms. Frodesiak, I have a long list of letters from disgruntled inanimate objects, animals, and concerned stick figures who are unable to use your facilities in a safe manner. One animal, a friendly sea slug, has written to complain about an injury it incurred at your Cafe, having slipped into your "Amber Room" while sliming across the floor. Please rectify this matter immediately to insure the future safety of your patrons.

Signed, a concerned Wikipedian.

You actually really freaked me out for a second there. What with the commons copyvio image thing of late, I've been a little nervous. Just you wait my friend. You'll get yours!! Ha! :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 01:40, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

Spectrum Auction Page

Greetings,

Just to let you know that Wikipedia:WikiProject United States Public Policy/Courses/Media and Telecommunication Policy spring 2011 (Obar) will also be editing the Spectrum auction article.

Just thought that I would let you know. Jaobar (talk) 07:15, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know. I'll let those folks add the talk page banner. If they don't after a while, I'll do it. Cheers. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 08:54, 18 March 2011 (UTC)
Hi Anna. I am online mentor to the three students in Prof. Obar's class who are also working (or rather, will someday perhaps be working) on the Spectrum auction article. I discovered only five minutes ago that another student (your mentee) will also be working on the article. That is all, of course, totally cool with me. I see that Prof. Obar noticed it earlier and already let you know about it. To date, my assigned mentees have not been very active (see my note at the link). Ping me on my Talk page if I can be of any assistance or you need anything. Cheers. N2e (talk) 04:57, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for the heads up. It will be nice to see lots of students helping to improve the article. Let's see how they do and take it from there. Likewise, if there's anything I can do to help you, please just ask. Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 15:56, 21 March 2011 (UTC)
Okay then. We will both "stand by for action" from our students, and cheer them on as they make progress. N2e (talk) 16:07, 21 March 2011 (UTC)

I saw it was a stub and raised it to start, but it is probably C or B. I haven't checked against the B-Class criteria so I'll leave that to you and others. Viriditas (talk) 23:41, 22 March 2011 (UTC)

Ok, I will stop but my criteria is based on the fact that French is the sole official language in Quebec, thus also in Montreal.

Montreal , like the rest of the province of Quebec is officially unilingual, concerning street and square signs as well. The streets and squares preceding the names are only in French. I added the English translationts of each street as well.

I also used the oficially unilingual French speaking cantons of Switzerland and the oficially unilingual region of Flanders in Belgium as examples, which only use preceding street names in their languages.

Cafe Anna

Hi Anna, it has been a while since we communicated. I just wanted to say how very cool your new "Cafe Anna" wall is on your userpage. Seriously! The links to different parts of wikipedia is such a good idea and quite unique. Interesting userpages are always a pleasure to see and yours is one of the better ones out there. I also see that you have been busy on wikipedia. You and I actually started editing around the same time, and for a short while we had a similar number of edits, but you now have over 10 times more than I! Keep up the great work. Wikipedia needs more people like you. Best wishes, Antarctic-adventurer (talk) 05:51, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for the kind words. It was another editor's good idea to make the links. I also check your contribs from time to time. Edit count isn't everything. Schwartz's

...In the white-shrouded fields, with the temperature "cold enough to split rocks," an art critic observed Monet at work: "We glimpsed a little heater, then an easel, then a gentleman swathed in three overcoats, with gloved hands, his face half frozen. It was M. Monet studying an aspect of the snow."[1]

Glad to help. Unfortunately, I must confess Yankee ignorance as to the difference (if any) between corned beef and Montreal-style smoked meat. Is there one? Either way, I have a sneaking suspicion that some of my relatives were done in by this kind of diet, in a bad way. It can't be all that healthy. I admit that I miss it dearly, but I haven't had anything like it since, oh, about 1987 or so. I was just reading the Schwartz's article, and whomever wrote that the classic meal includes "a medium-fat sandwich, fries, half-sour pickle, coleslaw, red pepper, and a black cherry soda" wasn't kidding! I think I had that once a month for Sunday brunch as a kid with my family. I wonder if the Matzah ball soup at Schwartz's is any good. Have you eaten there? Viriditas (talk) 08:17, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

I don't really know much about corned beef. And yes, the sandwich is really unhealthy. You can actually feel your blood slowing down. I never had the matzah ball soup there. Brown Derby is best for that. If you're ever in Montreal, do try a smoked meat. The place is easy to find because there's always an ambulance parked out front. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 08:26, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
I just saw the article on Wilensky's. It says, "mustard is compulsory, as a sign in the restaurant announces". Have you tried that place? Viriditas (talk) 08:36, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
Yes. It's really good, considering it's just a fried baloney sandwich. I really miss Montreal food. Great souvlaki, great pizza, great poutine, great Jewish food, great steamés etc. One of the best things is Mike's Subs. Instead of loading cold meat and cheese into a bun, they fry it first in a pile, and also fry the bun. Really good. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 08:56, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
You said buns. As in, freezing your buns off. Do you miss that too? :) Viriditas (talk) 09:00, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
I detest cold weather. For a Canadian, living in palm tree land is sweeeeeet. No more shoveling out the car. No more freezing feet, slush, flurries, freezing rain, etc. It was sometimes so cold you had to walk backwards. Do you like winter? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 09:16, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
I do like winter, and the coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco. Twain never actually said that, but I love repeating it. These days, the closest I get to winter is Vivaldi. But, I love all the seasons, and there is something special about a winter landscape; Monet captured it perfectly. Viriditas (talk) 10:02, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
So, you never actually did the deep snow, full-on winter thing? It can be quite nice.
Love Monet. Love the Magpie. (I meant to proxy it but forgot before.) That's one of my favs. (I center my icons around the edges of a black screen for an unobscured view of a nicely centered wallpaper. (Drives and folders on the left, a/v and net on the bottom, utils on the top, fun stuff on the right.) I'm not sure why people put them in columns on the left. Habit I guess, but bad feng shui.
When at the printshop, or computer place, I often suggest that they keep shortcuts to drives on the desktop to save the step of opening My Computer each time. They smile and thank me. Then they go back to the old way. Strange.
Speaking of computers, I ought to suggest voidtools' "Everything". A killer search app. Tiny. Amazing because it finds strings, and because it makes a list of everything, then removes what doesn't match. A simple bit of genius that Microsoft missed.
Here is one of my favourite winter paintings. I don't know why I like it as I much prefer nature scenes. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 01:34, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
The Floor Scrapers
I have done the winter thing in California, Oregon, Utah, New Mexico, and New York, and I do love it. You may not believe it, but winter does exist outside of Canada! :) I was lucky enough to visit California for the "Birth of Impressionism"[7] exhibit at the de Young back in 2010.[8] I took the audio tour and saw The Magpie up close,(it only showed in Madrid and San Francisco[9]) and I was quite impressed. In the middle of this museum with hundreds of people, I was transported back to a winter landscape in the 19th century. You could feel the cold wind blowing out of the frame and on to your face. Wild stuff. Gustave Caillebotte was also on display, and The Floor Scrapers really stood out. If you haven't seen that one in RL, you should. The lighting is just amazing. I seem to recall seeing Caillebotte's Vue de toits as well in 2010, but I might be confusing it with the time I saw it in 1999 at San Francisco's Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. I have to tell you, these Wikipedia images are all wrong, both in terms of color and quality. They are so different than the real thing it is almost embarrassing to view them on screen. Something must be done. Viriditas (talk) 02:58, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
That sounds sooooooooo nice. de Young had some nice stuff. I really miss the Amsterdam galleries and museums. The Milk Maid is there, and is so transfixing, especially when the place is quiet. The milk becomes the centre of the universe. The locals never, ever visit. Only tourists. I had a student pass for 60 Euros a year, good for everywhere. Best bargain in Europe. A lot of these places are empty off-season, so I had these masterpieces all to myself. And when nobody's looking, I touch them. I can't help it. It's a sickness.
I still love the Impressionists most of all. Call it cliche. I don't care. It's great stuff. Rembrandt was a weenie. Too much black. I'm also a huge fan of Lautrec. That little pervert could draw!
Love the floor scrapers. It's one of my all-time favs. I showed it to some of my friends here. They didn't get it at all. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 03:22, 25 March 2011 (UTC)
If you have some extra time, I think you might enjoy reading this essay on how the de Young acquired the works and the focus of the exhibition. Viriditas (talk) 03:55, 25 March 2011 (UTC)

You missed the "or", as in or you're active at content-oriented pages such as...Did You Know. You pass. Simply link to your 22 DYK's (as I did above). Viriditas (talk) 09:04, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
Done! Thank you. I would never have noticed. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 09:16, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

Stub article creating

If it helps, I have a stub article html program just for the purpose of creating articles, so I can do it for you. Bugboy52.4 ¦ =-= 13:02, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

That's very kind of you. What's the program? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 13:03, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
Its a html program, a friend had prgramed it and sent it to me. Bugboy52.4 ¦ =-= 13:06, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
Woops, it seems that sense I'm not on my home computer, and the one right now doesn't have firefox: I'll have to do it when I get back to my home pc, is that OK? Bugboy52.4 ¦ =-= 13:12, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
No problem. That's sounds very interesting. I've a sort of strange system here that makes it quite easy. But, for the next batch, I would be very interested. Can you tell me how it would all happen? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 13:14, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
FYI (both of you) semi-automated mass article creation requires approval from BAG, please see WP:BOTPOL - Kingpin13 (talk) 13:16, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

No worries, I've had this conversation before (after I made about 1,500 articles in one day :P). And, like I was saying, I actually have some screenshots from when I was fixing out the bugs with the programmer. If you want, I'll forward them to you through your e-mail, if its OK to give me your e-mail. Bugboy52.4 ¦ =-= 13:20, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

Thanks Kingpin13. I appreciate the heads up. We went through this with Ganeshbot. What I am doing is not at all automated, not very mass, and all will be expanded. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 13:23, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
Sounds good, just making sure you're aware of this :). As I said at Ganeshbot's BRfA, I strongly recommend that you concentrate on maintained articles more than adding to the articles which need to be maintained. However, as long as you are not creating more articles than you can manage, that is good. - Kingpin13 (talk) 13:32, 24 March 2011 (UTC)
Manage? Oh-oh. Kidding. Actually, I think the taxonomy of the gastropods means a lot of maintenance. Even I was asking a lot of questions about that. As for the bees, I will do my best to dig up images, and expand what I can. The very presence of these stubs, I hope, will encourage edits and expansion of this very fuzzy and rotund genus. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 13:37, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

So you decided to make the articles yourself, eh? Oh well, I'll try expanding them anyway. Bugboy52.4 ¦ =-= 19:28, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

I was half way there, so it seemed the path of least resistance. If you find any good sources with a list of species in the genus, and info on each, please let me know. Many thanks. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 01:37, 25 March 2011 (UTC)

Re:Anthidium

No problem. I took a quick peak at all of them and the rest seemed okay to me. Seems like the source page has some problems with special characters, so you better keep an eye out for scrambled characters when using it again.. Cheers and happy hunting for additional info! Ruigeroeland (talk) 15:39, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

I'll watch out for that source site. I should have caught those mistakes.
I've just been digging for images and data, and well, they're hard to come by from common sites. I'll have to hit google books.
Thanks very much for looking over the others. It must have taken ages. Cheers. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 16:13, 24 March 2011 (UTC)

Re: Synonym redirect pages

Hi Anna, I would have suggested you to use CSVLoader plugin for the task. You will need to create two columns in a CSV file in the format, <source article>,<target article>. The template for the article will be, #REDIRECT [[##TARGETARTICLE##]]. Anyway good to hear it's done. I think the cafe needs new paint. Milder yellow or some other color? Ganeshk (talk) 00:26, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

The colors are a homage to Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts in Quebec. Sorry Anna, but I figured it out a long time ago. :) Viriditas (talk) 04:07, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

Ahh, good. I didn't know it could do that. I'll remember that for next time. I've taken your advice and repainted. Tell me if it's too pukey. Thanks.
Viriditas: Nice guess, but you're way off. The original cafe drawing was that colour by instant choice. The original used to be in the history of versions, but now I can't see it there.
Best to you both, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 05:07, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
It looks good now. I like the new flooring as well. Ganeshk (talk) 12:22, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
Thank you. The floor is real oak, you know. Not cheap. 1,000 virtuobux per sq. m. Anything else the cafe needs? Just say the word. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 12:29, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

Stubs

Just let me know if you want a hand creating stubs. If I can allevaite some of the time you spend creating them it would allow you to improve some of them!♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:23, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

I'm not sure what you mean. Can you automatically create them? Do you mean that I leave too many unexpanded stubs behind?
Nono, just I am known for my super fast manual creations!♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:47, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
Oh are you then? Well, I'm pretty lightning fast too. I was born with octopus arms and balance problems coz of my mother's fancy-free lifestyle back in the sixties. I operate two keyboards at once. That's why I'm on Wikipedia a lot. I don't go out much because people point and ask a lot of questions like "Are those real suction cups?" and "Why are you wearing that scratched-up helmet?". Anna Frodesiak (talk) 13:55, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
That explains why you keep changing the color of your user page: chromatophores! Viriditas (talk) 06:44, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
Octopus arms? Perhaps we are related... Sharktopustalk 12:03, 27 March 2011 (UTC)

If you want maps of lakes try http://www.maps-for-free.com/?val=66.366667,-112.716667,9,Napaktulik%20Lake. Just click the camera at the top and snap whatever you want. You can use whatever paint art program you have for labels. As long as you license it like File:Nigeria relief map.png.♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:26, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

The doctor has the cure!! That is absolutely, exactly, precisely, entirely what I have been looking for!!! Fantastic! Thank you soooooo much. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 13:30, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

LOL. See File:Napaktulik Lake.png and File:Napaktulik Lake2.png. I'll make a couple so you can get the idea. See Lake Beechey. Snap a photograph of the relief. Save it. Go into paint font size 22 in bold and write the name of the lake, draw an arrow using the line. Done! Simple.♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:40, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

Perfect. I will get on it. Many thanks!! Anna Frodesiak (talk) 14:08, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

De nada Miss Frodesiak.. P.S easy way to access it is click the coordinates in any lake article in the geohack simply click "Maps-For-Free" map. And Bob's your Uncle! Happy editing! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 14:09, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

I can't believe that I never saw the "Maps-For-Free" link in the Geohack before. CambridgeBayWeather (talk) 17:22, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
Fantastic resource indeed. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 21:14, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

yeah I think the locator in Canada and then the zoomed in version is the best way to do it. Go ahead. Some reservoirs for some countries though I've noticed the water areas are off but it should be fine for natural lakes.♦ Dr. Blofeld 09:55, 27 March 2011 (UTC)

re:Anthidium

I actually planned on working on ALL of them, however, the current collaboration of the Wikiproject I created, Lepidoptera, got a reviewer for GA. And I actually never heard of the tool you mentioned, though I might check it out when I get the chance. Bugboy52.4 ¦ =-= 23:11, 26 March 2011 (UTC)

Re: CSVLoader

It was good that you were looking for an automated solution for the redirect pages. The plugin can be used for a variety of tasks. Recently it was used to maintain Creator templates on Commons. Ganeshk (talk) 00:58, 27 March 2011 (UTC)
