2019 World's Ultimate Strongman moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, 2019 World's Ultimate Strongman, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Call of Duty League, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Stats updates
Hi, if you're going to update the career stats tables please do it properly. You're only updating the figures in the league column, and not the total column. Mattythewhite (talk) 16:28, 22 February 2020 (UTC)
- @Mattythewhite: Oh my, sorry I had a massive brain fade then. --Brandon Downes (talk) 16:32, 22 February 2020 (UTC)
- No worries, but you're still missing the figures in the total cell for the season row. Mattythewhite (talk) 16:52, 22 February 2020 (UTC)
- Oh my days, ahahah I'm such an idiot today. Will fix them all, my bad and apologies again. --Brandon Downes (talk) 16:55, 22 February 2020 (UTC)
- @Mattythewhite: I believe I've fixed the four I messed up and I'm just going to leave it there. Apologies again, going to leave the stats updates to someone who knows what they're doing! --Brandon Downes (talk) 17:10, 22 February 2020 (UTC)

CDL updates
No problem, always happy to help, and I'll continue doing stuff such as only bolding winning teams in the future, including already played events. And while I would love to make the final bracket I honestly don't know how to, all the brackets I've used on various pages in the past have been pre-made templates.Poklane 02:30, 12 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Poklane: I managed to create a bracket that recreates the groups if you want to update the other past events I need to go do something and cant finish the other ones off and we can use that format going forward! Brandon Downes (talk) 19:25, 12 July 2020 (UTC)

Hi, I need help editing the Template:World's Strongest Man Contestbox as currently when used the winner of competitions isnt as apparent as I believe it should be for example on 2023 World's Strongest Man. I want to remove the "nationality" parameter and put the "winner" parameter as a header similar to how Template:Infobox tournament does it for the "current champion" parameter for example on World's Strongest Man. Brandon Downes (talk) 19:17, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
- Not familiar with this, but Kwib created the template, so maybe they might respond to you here. — Maile (talk) 00:08, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
- It looks like you undid the very thing you wanted to do; not sure why that happened. If you need more template assistance, WT:WPT is probably a good place to do so. - It looks like you undid the very thing you wanted to do; not sure why that happened. If you need more template assistance, WT:WPT is probably a good place to do so. If you want more help, change the {{help me-helped}} back into a {{help me}}, stop by the Teahouse, or Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Introduction to contentious topics
You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Additionally, you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days, and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on a page within this topic.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

2024 World's Strongest Man moved to draftspace
Thanks for your contributions to 2024 World's Strongest Man. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. CycloneYoris talk! 02:02, 7 May 2024 (UTC)

Table captions
Sometimes, table captions can seem a bit redundant, but it is my understanding that they are used by screen readers and as such improve an article's accessibility, see for more info MOS:DTAB. Maybe the subsection titles can be removed to avoid repetition in Athletics at the 2024 Summer Olympics – Women's 400 metres hurdles? – Editør (talk) 15:34, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
- Or the tables could be merged into one table with a Heat column like in Athletics at the 2024 Summer Olympics – Mixed 4 × 400 metres relay. – Editør (talk) 15:36, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
- Take a look at every pretty much every single previous article covering every single event for athletics at the olympics and you'll find individual heat tables without headers. You've only added these headers on 2 articles that have Dutch participants doing well so unless you're gonna go through the previous 1000+ articles covering athletics events at the olympics and add headers then the status quo should be kept and the headers shouldn't be there. Brandon Downes (talk) 15:55, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
- Consistency within an article seems more important than consistency across different articles. I don't mind the latter, but I don't mind diversity either. However, I don't think consistency of 1000+ articles is a reasonable requirement for improving individual articles according to the manual of style. – Editør (talk) 16:15, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
- I have no interest in arguing this any further, 2/1000+ articles being different seems silly to me but if dutch athletes doing well in those events means that then so be it I guess Brandon Downes (talk) 16:40, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
- I don't see how the nationality of athletes are relevant to the manual of style for tables. – Editør (talk) 16:56, 6 August 2024 (UTC)

Autopatrolled granted
Hi Brandon Downes, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.
Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.
Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Elli (talk | contribs) 03:32, 13 September 2024 (UTC)
