"Merged into..."
I see on a lot of Ukrainian city pages a phrase which kind of confuses things from an English language standpoint. As an example, on the article for the urban-type settlement of Metiolkine, it mentions that the settlement prior to reform was part of Sievierodonetsk Municipality until Sievierodonetsk was "merged into Sievierodonetsk Raion," with "was" and "merged into" being what creates confusion.
The paragraphs imply that these settlements are no longer part of these local governments, which isn't true or at least not the most accurate way to describe it. The municipal governments have simply be resubordinated to the raion government, and in most cases, enlarged by merging other municipalities into the larger one. The way these articles are worded, it makes it sound like the raion has taken over for municipal governance, that the local governance has been abolished. Second, the articles then do not go on to clarify that these settlements are still just part of the larger municipality. In the case of Metiolkine, it's still within the new Sievierodonetsk municipality, the only difference being that the Sievierodonetsk municipality has been subordinated to the raion.
What I would suggest is rewording these articles to get rid of the part talking about "until (date of subordination)..." and simply say that "the settlement is located within the urban/settlement/rural territorial community of ____________". This clears up confusion about its status. Also, the infoboxes of settlements which aren't hromadas, themselves, need to be updated to show what hromadas the settlements are located in just as it's show what district, oblast and country the settlement is located in. --Criticalthinker (talk) 08:45, 23 June 2022 (UTC)

The article Victor Steeman has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Article is a death-notice only (WP:NOTMEMORIAL), and has not been through NPP due to author's autoconfirmed right. The subject is not well-known in English-language publications. All but one citations are death notices. Content has been copied from another Wiki and fails to meet the En-Wiki basis of WP:GNG, requiring "significant coverage in reliable sources" and also fails to meet WP:Notability (sports), which requires a major win or participation in a substantial feeder-series to higher-level competition.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
