All but one citations are death notices. This does not confer regular coverage as required by WP:N, and the subject has not achieved a notable victory as required by Wikipedia:Notability (sports).

Moto3 riders were allowed a listing as notability was assumed. This changed and was notified some months ago at another editor's Talk page (spelling error in the target noted).

As always I am short on time and will look further before adding further steps.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 13:09, 14 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Phil Bridger - I have already performed extensive searching as in WP BEFORE and the only results were in Dutch language at a dedicated motorsport Dutch website. They have their own dedicated wiki. I also noted the copied content comes from an En-blocked editor (I was completely unaware of Simple Wikipedia, and don't expect to look at it again, hopefully) so I did perhaps more research than you might think.

At the risk of repeating myself, autoconfirmed editors can slip-in through the back door death-tributes which do not comply with notability; Paul Dobbs and Billy Redmayne ferinstance. Other articles I could cite (and have done elsewhere), but at the time of death they were included into the guidelines which have since been changed. I was the one pushing for a Notability banner to attract attention, that's timelined in Talk of course.

If you want to know more about the back door, I'll copy you into the socking ring timeline/circular draft I'm preparing for another admin - I remember you as an arb, I think.

So it's the long way through AfD and uninvolved editors can opine. I don't care either way, excepting the massive preamble involved when I don't use quick utilities, but editors should respect the standards, not circumvent them.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 14:29, 15 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is a Google News search that predates his accident. Dutch-language sources as just as valid as English ones, but there are plenty of English ones found. Phil Bridger (talk) 15:22, 15 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
And I am ordinary editor who has never been an admin or an arbitrator. Not that that makes my word any less worth listening to on content matters. Phil Bridger (talk) 20:57, 15 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
